What a story! I absolutely loved the plot. Regardless of the amount of erotic scenes, the story was great. That being said, this story is one where the reader must go into it with an open mind. If you are one that kink shames or isn’t comfortable reading others kinks, you should not read this. However, it was beautifully done and I look forward to reading more from this author!

Summer's Slumber by E. M. Wooley was a quick read. The author was new to me and the book was great escapism. It featured Summer who is working in Colorado at a small ski town. She joins a potential investor and his friend to snowshoe up the mountain to all three cabins when the guide is sick. Both men are attracted to her. The story details Summer's exploration of her sexuality and a sleeping beauty fantasy.

Some may find the storyline to be a bit taboo but everything was consensual. I liked the map included in the book which detailed where everything was located.

CW: explicit sexual language

It's been quite a long time since I can honestly say I fell in love with a book character. Summer's Slumber hit me with a one-two punch because I fell in love with two.

Summer finds herself unexpectedly single and working as an assistant ski adventure guide in Colorado. After an impromptu run-in with a fortune teller, she is on a self-discovery quest to find out who she is and what she wants before a serious relationship is an option. Her sexcapades bring her straight into the arms of two sexy London bachelors, Troy and Emery. But a snowstorm has derailed their trip, and Summer now has to make sure she lands the investment deal her boss is in dire need of to save the business and make sure everyone lives to see tomorrow. But there may also be some time to check off some sexy boxes on kink her list.

Minus a few editing errors, this book is a 5/5, hands down fantastic read. I didn't realize I was so lost in the story until the book was over. Summer is such a likable character, wanting to find herself before another failed relationship. She's funny, witty, and smart with just the right amount of innocence. Emery is a well-developed co-conspirator with an interesting background and the intelligence to match.

Summers Slumber is a spicy, kinky, heart-pounding novel that will give you butterflies and leave you blushing; begging for more!

If you enjoy spicy romance novels with a splash of kink and an intriguing plot, this book is for you all day long.

Oh lord, how should I write this review without revealing my fantasies? Hmm...

Basically, I enjoyed reading this book, because I am the female MC. The female MC is me. We have the same fantasies. We have the same taste in men. We love to overshare. We are too blunt and honest.

The men, on the other hand... I want them in my life. I want them to be my wingmen. It would be nice to have male friends like them, who I can vibe with and confide in.

My only issue is with the dialogues. It's not terrible, but I just lost interest in reading them. I found myself skimming a lot and skipping to the smut.

Overall, I liked the book. It was a fun and easy read. However, please look up the content and trigger warning, because this book is k!nky and it is not for everyone <3

New to me author E.M. Wooley delights me with an erotic novel filled with kinky exploration. The story starts out with a heartbroken Summer who made a few jests with her boyfriend and he dumped her. On the advice of a Renaissance Faire fortune teller, Summer embarks on an erotic exploration to find herself. I wasn't sure what this would be like and I'm pleasantly surprised by the story, the erotic scenes and the happily ever after.

This book was an unexpected surprise. I inadvertently assumed that it was going to be typical erotica novel but it was not. I found the separate interaction between Summer, Emery, and Troy as well as when they were all together comical. I was also caught unaware with a twist.

In her spare time Summer unapologetically explore her sexual kinks but business comes first. When tasked with impressing a potential investor Summer must keep a tight hold on her one track minded imagination.

There is explicit sexual language and some BDSM.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Playful banter, slow burn, funny and steamy. Summer’s Slumber has sleeping beauty jealous of true loves kiss. Summer and Emery’s playful banter was so much fun to read. I was laughing and crying during the book. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to my friends who love fairy tales and a happy ending in more ways than one.

This book was such a breath of fresh air. I’m new to the Erotic Romance scene and this story was unique and spicy. I will say, in this authors future novels I would love to see even more spice. And wayyyy more spice from the main couple. But over all I thoroughly enjoyed this read and can’t wait to read more from Wooley!

I don't know what I read. But as the Germans say- Das war ein griff ins klo (That was a grab into the toilet) which is exactly what this book was🙃
It's so bad it makes you question not only your sanity, but also the author's and the people who rated it 4-5 stars.

The FMC's (Summer) whole personality trait is that she's horny. She sees any man and all she wants to do is just take him to bed. That's literally all there is to her personality. She has a ridiculous and creepy fantasy of a man having sex with her while she's asleep cause she's a on "spiritual (sexual) journey." Should've seen that coming when I saw the title🙃

I get that it's an erotica but there needs to be certain boundaries made. There's also no sub plot, it's just Summer going on and on about her fantasy with every man she sees. It's a poorly written work as well. The prologue should've been indication enough for me to stop reading it.

So yes, I DON'T recommend this. Giving it 1 star is me being generous for the sake of the author.

An intriguing story of a young female who wants to explore her sexuality. She has a bucket list of kinks that she wants to complete before she settles down. Before the book starts she has completed all but one desire, somnophilia.

I thoroughly enjoyed Summer's, Troy's and Emery's story.

Some may find the storyline a bit of a taboo but everything was fully consensual.

I got this as a late ARC from netgalley and even with being intrigued by the blurb I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But I was PLEASANTLY surprised to say the least. This book does contain somnophilia that IS consented to by both parties involved. There is a bit of hidden identity and some love triangle lite (in that one of the guys is more of a check this off the list and the other is genuine interest), but the dynamic between the three is fascinating and I genuinely enjoyed the story. Watching them and their antics through the blizzard and everything their hike involved was a good time and I really liked it!

Running from her small town life, Summer is getting to know herself while working in a guide tour place in Colorado. When her boss Kera is out sick, Summer gets the opportunity to trek up to the mountain with two hot Brits, one of them being a potential investor in Kera's business.

Summer's Slumber is an erotic, kinky novel with a plot.
The heroine is working through her list in a journal, which is full of kink in the bedroom, the latest one being the sleeping beauty syndrome. With the help of the two Londoners, she hopes she can check the box next to it.

While the main story is spicy and intriguing in its simplicity, it is predictable (with the twist in the end) and lacking in terms of the main characters' ( S and rT) relationship.
I did stumble upon some things that were a little bit unbelievable, for example the open bathroom window, while showering in about zero (or less) degrees weather, but it doesn't impact the story.

Overall the writing is good, the story luring and the romance kinky, so you are looking at an easy and enjoyable read.

I also loved that at the beginning of the book you have a link to see which kinks are mentioned and the map of the place with tagged mentioned places.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I really like the author’s writing style; it's flowed really easily and wasn’t written in a formal sense which I enjoyed. It was in a way that made you feel included in the book you’re reading and made the pages flow by quickly. I hope to read more by this author soon.

The plot of this book was very original and there were particular scenes which I didn’t expect coming. The setting was very nice and it's the type of book you’d want to read on a rainy day.

All the characters were very loveable, the main character made wise decisions and I did enjoy seeing this book from her perspective.

I overall did enjoy this book; I was expecting more erotic scenes since it was put under erotica but I didn’t actually mind the amount there was because they play very well into the plot line.

I think this title is a great step for erotica. I find it difficult to discover well written erotica that is still descriptive of the sexual activity. To this end, the title could have more details but I think it was great overall. I would be interested to see where this character and her beau go, or further novels that allude to the fairy tale stories but not overly so. I liked that the main character had her "fairy tale" commentary, but this wasn't a rip of any specific tale and didn't follow any of those tropes. It also didn't drag through too much backstory but was summed up very succinctly. Very well balanced.

Thank you to the author and NetGalley for this ARC.

Summer Fellers doesn't want to get into the new relationship, because she is on her journey into a world of taboo sexual exploration. Right now Summer's working as an assistant ski adventure guide in a small town in Colorado. Because of the snowstorm, she gets stuck in the cabin with a potential investor and his friend from London, Troy and Emery. Both men are attracted to her, so she's ready to cross her sleeping beauty kink from the list.

It was a short read, and I felt the atmosphere of winter, but, unfortunately, I didn't like the main character. Her entire personality is just being horny, and even if I read smut, I do that for the plot and lovable characters as well. Summer made it difficult for me to get through the book, but I would still recommend it to those people, who have the same kinks as Summer.

This is my first book by this author.

Summer’s Slumber is about Summer who is in her early to mid-twenties, working in Colorado at a snowshoe rental and guide tour place in a small ski town. When a potential investor and his friend arrive to treck up the mountain to all three cabins and the guide Kera is out sick, Summer herself has to go with them.

Troy and Emery are visiting from London and are immediately attracted to Summer. Summer has a list in her journal where she’s working through some ideas of “kink” in the bedroom. She had a friends with benefits guy on call for that, but when he checks out, she’s stuck with one last idea on her list. The sleeping beauty (princess) syndrome.

Summer confides in Emery later at the first cabin that she’s been wanting to check it off of her list. He then suggests getting Troy (the potential investor) unknowingly involved. This is when things get heated with feelings all over the place, dangerous storms happen, an icy lake and even a bear makes a cameo.

I did like the map at the front of the book to help get the idea where everything was located. Summer opened up pretty fast to Emery, a client, which made me think she didn’t get out much, lol.

I was a bit confused with the timeline of the book. They originally discuss the trip being 3 days but then they mention it will be 5 days. Obviously with the way things went, the day count does not matter.

I enjoyed seeing how Summer was able to explore the kinks she felt she needed to. Watching the plotting and the work going into accomplishing them added to the fun.

A book about exploration, about a journey, and a snowstorm.

Summer’s slumber is mainly explained in the title, but after her current boyfriend breaks up with her and she’s left alone at a medieval festival, she begins a journey of exploring the one kink left on her list: Sleeping beauty. Then at work, the original tour guide gets the flu, and Summer has to be the guide for two guys in the middle of a snow storm. How will this affect her sexual journey? And possibly her love life?

First things first: finally a book that’s in third person. It seems to be a trend to write books in the first person POV, and I’m not the biggest fan of that to be honest. Mostly because I want to read about the characters, not like I’m them, if that makes sense.

This book is in the erotica genre, so heads up for a lot of steamy scenes. Almost porn without plot, well almost. The MC, Summer, is horny. A lot. So the kink, Sleeping beauty, as I’ve read now in this story and while doing some research online, is not the most popular kink. Mainly because of consent. I just want to be clear that Summer wants this, and gives her consent to it, and it is even mentioned a safeword is she doesn’t want to do it anymore. I think it was written really well, and the steamy scenes even made me tingly. The kink itself can be quite tricky, but when talked about it beforehand, and having a safeword, I don’t see why it can’t be played out.

I do wish there was more drive to the story, because I kept looking forward to the steamy scenes more than the adventure part. Also, I put this book down a lot and just skimmed pages, even skipped a few. I did really like the plot twist at the end, although I wish there was a plot twist in the middle or that something would’ve happened.. I guess I got lost in all the description about the trip that I ended up skipping reading the rest of them..

Overall, an easy read steamy book with a dash of romance.

Happy reading!♥️

Summer gets dumped at a Renn Faire for essentially being too promiscuous. She stumbles drunk into the “fortune teller’s” tent and is told she needs to get to know herself before she gets into another serious relationship. There is also mention of a spirit quest and spirit animals which are not applied appropriately.

Summer takes this to mean that she needs to have a lot of meaningless physical intimacy and check off all her boxes of links that she cannot fathom sharing or exploring with a partner, to get them out of her system before trying to properly date again.

She’s down to just one last kink - being the object of somnophilia aka Sleeping Beauty.

This is the most important thing I think you need to be aware of going into this book. Yes, it’s a fluffy erotic novel. The story really isn’t deep, but it does involve a lot around the topic of being intimate with someone while they are asleep. This is all consensual, so it didn’t creep me out, but for people who maybe haven’t read a ton of dark romance, beware this is different.

Summer finds herself being the guide for a couple of men for a multiple day snowshoeing trek when a snowstorm and fear of a bear throw some wrenches into the trip and she finds herself holed up in some cabins with these two men she’s attracted to.

I’m sure you can see where things might go from there. Pretty decent amount of spice and enjoyable story.

My only complaint really is there is a small bit where they’re hiking between two cabins and afraid of a bear lurking nearby and stay silent. As a past employee of some national parks, you always want to be making noise if you are in bear country as if they hear you coming they will typically leave as they don’t like human interaction either. What you don’t want is to startle them.

This is classed as erotica, but I found it to be more like fluffy smut, which if that’s what you’re after, this is perfect.
It was written well, no real plot, but once again that’s not the reason for reading it.
I didn’t particularly like the start, our FMC seemed immature, but the writing seemed to improve and so did her character, although very horny (all the time). It’s like a script for a porn movie actually 😆
Written in 3rd person perspective, which generally I’m not a fan of, but this was well done and enjoyable.
I haven’t read about the sleeping beauty kink in many books, surprising really, it’s quite hot if written well. The downside here is, there was more about the lead up to it and not the actual act.
All in all it was a light romance with a love triangle (kind of), and sexual awakening with some adventure thrown in.

Thank you to Netgalley and to the publisher for giving me this eARC to review.

I will say that I read this a while ago but my review seemed to never go through so I am having to give this review trying to remember a lot of what happened but I do remember how I felt about the book.

I wouldn't say that this book is just erotica because while there was a lot of smut there was some plot where it followed the characters trekking through mountains. It was a quick and easy read which was great because it needed to be just that. Summer's Slumber follows Summer as she explores her sexuality so this book does involve kink and if you can find content warnings then that may be helpful. I gave this a 2.5 but rounded to 3.

This is one of the best books I have read in a long while. All the fantasies that the main character has and how kinky they are making this a great read. This was a book I finished within a few hours. I want more. This read is a 5 out of 5 stars and will be recommended highly to all followers. This is an easy read but trigger warnings need to be read.

This book is a quick but really good read. I found myself unable to put the book down by chapter 3 and had to force myself to not pull in all nighter to finish it because I had work the next morning. It's toes the line of dark romance with some of the aspects but it definitely gives a warm up to it so if you find out it's not your thing and won't just get thrown into something that might possibly trigger you.
I like the writing style a lot and how immersive it felt without being drowned in excessive detail. Definitely recommend for a quick but great read.

Summer is an assistant for an adventure travel outfit and she's about to be stuck in the Colorado mountains with Troy and Emery. Summer has a very specific fantasy that she wants to fulfill and she's positive that Troy is the one to do it. She's left the charger for her vibrator, Hops, behind and her friend/manager, Kera, has initially warned her off of sex with either man. Until Kera realizes that she needs to money, then she's perfectly willing to prostitute her friend/assistant for the sake of her business.
A little more character building - especially of Troy - would've gone a long way to improving this story. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Summer does a lot of talking to herself and a fair amount to her vibrator which isn't charged. All in all, Wooley does a serviceable job here, although the book was billed as erotica, it's not particularly erotic.
