A sexy billionaire makes a bet short and steamy romance. Part of the Billionaires in Vegas series, which can be read in any order. No cliffhanger.
Billionaire gambler who found a game he was willing to go "All In" for.
Emma Seeger runs a high-stakes poker game that she operates by her own rules. William Killian knows a good play when he sees it. The attraction between the two was instant but Emma was still very wary of getting involved with William.
After months of texting back and forth playing cat and mouse they finally meet when she invites him to play in her high stakes game in Vegas. William knows immediately that she is the one for him and is willing to do whatever it took to make sure she realized it also.
I probably would have given a higher rating if it wasn't for the duplication of chapters in this review copy.
I received an advanced review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I read this book in just under 2 hours and I really liked it. It was a fast paced story that held my interest and I didn’t want to put it down till I finished it. I haven’t read this authors books before but my friend has and she said the first book of this one was just as good so I for sure will want to read the other books written since this one was so great!!
You'll love Emma and William's story. This is part of the Billionaires in Vegas series but can be read as a standalone. . She was the owner of a private high stakes poker game and they had been texting for months before they met. The minute they met for him it was instant lust and he was determined to win her over. The book is fast paced and a quick, easy read. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Their chemistry was off the charts. A good book with no cliffhanger. William and Emma are two strong willed people that gets what they want. She run high end poker games in various locations. She is a no frills by the book's person and definitely no fraternization with the clients, but William takes one look at Emma and is a goner. Will these to make a connection one that leads to a happily ever after at the end? This book kept me glued to the pages!
“If you act like a gentleman,I’ll let you come to my game.”-Emma
“What gave you the idea I’m a gentleman?” -William
This sums up William in a quote. He knows what he wants when he sees Emma and he doesn’t want to compromise. She, however, is apprehensive to step outside of her ordered life. It’s a match made in heaven.
Will does an awful lot of convincing here, he doesn’t want to let Emma slip through his fingers. When she finally acquiesces, it’s a smoke show. Their bird cage scene was delicious. I wish there had been more of that! There is an element of insta-love that worked with the book well. It was believable, given their texting history.
We are left with a loose end regarding what happens to Emma. I had so many questions about that. Overall, this was a yummy little book that was easy to read and quite enjoyable. Now we need to know how Thomas, the youngest Killian brother, finds his HEA.
*I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
I’m giving this a 3.7 because it has so much potential, the plot is a really good one! Totally plausible so I like that, and I enjoyed the tension that was built.
I love a woman who has power and when you run your own secret high society gambling ring you have to be strong and take no lip (and loan no money) but it can be lonely too. I actually enjoyed how infatuated the MC was with the FMC, it was like she was his breath, and that first public scene was hott hott hott! Even I felt like I had to look around haha!
The only feedback I would have is in some parts of the story it was supposed to be in the MC perspective, but it switches to the FMC perspective randomly and that threw the reading flow. Sometimes the conversation seemed a little forced too, almost like there needed to be just a bit more natural push and pull.
Over all though I did enjoy this book it was a fun quick read :)
After a somewhat prolonged textual relationship between two business moguls, the two sides decide to meet and it’s purely orgasmic. They fight an animalistic mutual attraction and, practically, set the whole place on fire. With a wicked-smart female protagonist and playboy bent on capturing his fair lady’s heart, there’s no telling what can happen. A solid 3-star read and double kudos for the magnetic writing. Steamy, lush, and with all the things we love about an insta-love & textual romance stories.
'The Billionaire Raises the Stakes' by Jenna McCall is the second book in her Billionaires in Vegas series and tells the story between Emma Seeger and William Killian. Emma runs a high-stakes poker game, by the books and by her own rules. William is a billionaire tech wizard who works for his family's company. Emma and William have been texting back and forth as he is trying to get into one of her games. But are the texts just business? Or is there some flirting involved?
Ms. McCall has written charming addition to her series. The chemistry between Emma and William is sizzling. And when they finally meet their attraction is quite apparent. I like how William had to work for Emma's affection. Great book to enjoy with a glass of wine.

Emma runs a high stakes game, strictly her rules. She’s focused and doesn’t hesitate to reject a player or offer. That is until months of texting with William, a billionaire looking to play her game, she finally allows him a seat. He is quite literally all in. He knows what he wants and he won’t stop until he gets it, or her!
I loved the insta love once she let her guard down. Very believable. And some scenes were quite the schooner leaving you laughing and wanting more.
I’ve read a couple of Jenna’s books and I love her short stories with amazing characters. I can’t wait to see what she’s coming up with next.
First book I have read by this author and I really enjoyed it. I loved the setting and the storyline, it was super easy to envision it all in my head as I was reading. I liked both characters, their personalities and demeanor were perfect for this kind of story. I loved how independent they both were but I definitely enjoyed them more together, every interaction hotter and more intense than the one before it. I loved getting to read their relationship and seeing it build up on the pages. There were elements of romance, heat and anticipation all mixed together which just made this book all the sweeter. I cannot wait to pick up another book from this author, I loved it!.
Emma runs a high stakes game at various hot spots around the world. William has been texting her, trying to get a seat at one of her games. A place opens up at Las Vegas and things get very heated from there on. From their very first in-person meet there is a secondary game afoot, with her as the prize. Neither of these two back down for anyone. The characters are strong, determined and wary. The storyline was fast paced, with lots of drama, big decisions, side bets, lots of rules to be broken and much more. Loved their chemistry and banter. The ending fit right in.

Just as good as the first one. I am kinda upset they never did figure out who beat her up but then again the 3rd book is going to be in Vegas so maybe it might say something about it in there. Glad William went back to her instead of going home. The bird cage spicy scene was two thumbs up! I loved how she had their balcony done to Match the balcony where they first met.

This story was hot! I was enthralled from the first few pages as the chemistry sizzled and grew. Both Emma and William were passionate, successful characters and I enjoyed watching William break through Emma’s defences to discover the warm and vulnerable woman within. Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review. William killian wants to join the night stake private poker games the Emma seeger runs ,but when he sees her she's the only bet he wants to make . cute
This was my first read from this author. I really liked the story, however I gave it four stars because it was written in the third person point of view which is a deal breaker for me. I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review.
No complaints here!!! So good once again! So glad William came back for her and didn't go to Seattle! Love the way they met and the night they spent together was spicy! Two thumbs up!!!!!
This is a quick read that manages to developed into and outstanding read. Great plot that has drama romance and steam. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book via Booksprout.
Hot and steamy is definitely what you will find in this story. Emma and Will have a sexual attraction that kicks off from page one. This book is part of the Billionaires in Vegas series and could be read in any order, but I'm wondering if starting from the first book in this series really would make a difference to get to know the characters. For me I was left wondering what really drew Will to Emma in the text messages they shared? Was it truly only because she refused him joining her other games? I will try the other books in this series and come back to this one and see if my opinion changes, but for now it was just ok.
I'm not sure if anyone else they may have received an advance copy had this issue, but the book I got had chapter 1 twice. so just in case Jenna you may want to look into that, smiles.
Disclaimer: I received an advance copy of this book from the author and my review is given freely.
I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Emma meets Will because he wants in on the games that she runs. There is an instant attraction to each other. Emma would like to deny it but Will is not going to let her. I thought it was a short, funny and steamy romance. . William has one vice/social active he enjoys, poker. When he hears of a private game that's suposed to be super exclusive, he decides he need in. When he finally does, he meets the woman who runs the game. He decides she's going to be his too!
He's the oldest brother and they all seem to have a kinky streak!
The second book in The Billionaires in Vegas series did not let me down. Williams and Emma’s story is a dream come true. I normally am not a fan of the “Insta love”, while they had had communication before meeting for a while, the whole “I know I need her forever” is always a little to fast for me. But it fits with the MC lifestyles, they both hold high power, fast pace jobs. I loved their whole love story, was sad to see the end, wishing I had gotten more moments between the two of them.
Can’t wait to listen to book 3. I am listening to this series as an audiobook and the narrator is nailing it!
This basically happened over the course of 1 day and then they're suddenly in love after texting for a bit and having sex. Then she is randomly attacked and then she moves in with him? Thats it.
