A terrific book for new therapists (especially trainees).

The author is able to breakdown sophisticated psychodynamic theory into easily digestible and relatable concepts. He supplements these with clinical vignettes that further deepen the readers understanding.

Furthermore, he includes crucial practical information on how to “do therapy,” which is justified with theory, and ultimately synergieses to improve the reader’s overall understanding and knowledge.
