Ba Re’ is a General in the Cruestaci military. He has always been quietly stoic, considering it an honor to carry the mantle of duty and leadership, while overseeing all the engineering aspects of Command Warship 1. But don’t let his stoic nature fool you, he is as lethal as any warrior among his people. Sent by his Commander and Sire to Earth to aid in the recovery of a fellow warrior’s kidnapped female, he himself is taken hostage. Heavily sedated, beaten, starved and tortured relentlessly, he has forgotten who he is and where he comes from. He’s now a violent, animalistic creature, living only for the chance to kill everyone and everything in his path. Even the infuriating female that keeps telling him she’s his mate is just one more body to add to the pile.
Elisha was more than a little overwhelmed when Ba Re’ declared she was his Ehlealah, his life mate. She thought it meant the end of all her dreams of becoming an interstellar translator and computer analyst. Whisked away to live with him onboard Command Warship 1, she finds she does love the stubborn male, more than she ever thought she could. But his determination to make her his mate, versus her determination to continue to be her own person, creates a stalemate neither can seem to overcome. Throwing their hands up, they walk away, accepting the fact they’ll both live out their lives with broken hearts.
But now, Ba Re’ is missing and the Cruestaci have had no success in locating him despite continuing raids on Earth. But that’s okay, because Elisha is on her way back to Earth. There is nothing, NOTHING, she’s not willing to do to bring him back to his people, and hopefully into her arms. Even if he hates her for eternity, she can live with that, because he’ll be alive to hate her. Come hell or high water, she’s bringing him home. She knows who's holding him hostage, and she's leading the Cruestaci right to them.
Warning: This story is intended for mature readers. It contains violence both real and suggested, and intimacy. If you find these subjects disturbing please do not buy this book.
I write Paranormal, SciFi and Fantasy Romance. Why, you may ask? Romance, because who doesn’t love a good romance, and the lack of reality in the story lines - because, well, normal is highly overrated. I’m 55, I have two kids, one 32 and one 12 (yes, God does have a sense of humor), one grandchild, one husband, and a menagerie of animals. Literally, too damn many things that eat wandering around our property. I love to cook, and I am a voracious reader, though since I started writing I don’t get as much time to read as I once did. I am a homebody and prefer my writing/reading time to a crowd. I have had stories and fictional characters wandering around in my head for as long as I can remember. I started letting them out into the real world and surprisingly, people have loved them. I am a Self-Published Author, and I like it that way because I can decide what and when to write. I am by no means a formal, polished, properly structured individual and neither are my stories. But people seem to love the easy emotion and passion that naturally flow from them. A bit of a warning though, there are some “triggers” in them that certain people should avoid. I’m a firm believer that you cannot have light without the dark. You cannot fully embrace the joy and elation that my people eventually find if you do not bear witness to their darkest hours as well. So please be sure to read the warnings supplied with each of the synopses about my books before you buy them. I've got three series published at this time, Avaleigh's Boys - PNR, Whispers From the Bayou - Fantasy PNR, Haven - a SciFi, and three more in process. I’m a bit sarcastic, scathing actually, and a smartass to boot, so if I offend you, it is most likely not intentional. But be prepared because it probably won’t be the last time. I’m always glad to hear from readers; those who have followed me from the beginning, and those who have just found my people. So feel free to look me up and say hello, or just follow along; either way, I’m glad to have you.
If you've been following this series, Reclaimed is a dark one. I didn't let that deter me. The dark aspects really bring the light in this book into focus. This is Elisha and Ba'Re's story. He's been kidnapped and no one can find him. Elisha can, though. She goes undercover to accomplish her task. The whole process of which really notched up my hate for the Purists. Elisha, after all she's gone through, is willing to go to extremes to save her mate. She realizes she doesn't want to live life without Ba'Re. And Mitchell is one evil man. I don't want to completely give the story line away, but I will say I love the character development with Ba'Re in this book! His "new normal" is quite fabulous. I loved visiting with all of our old Haven friends. We also meet a new female character, Mel. I'm hoping she will feature in an upcoming story. Haven 6 was suspenseful, steamy, and had a great story line. Love our Cruestaci guys! 4 stars
This is one of the best books of the series. The fight to get Ba Re' back was intense and Elisha went through a horrible ordeal in order to help save him. Love the new male he is and as always Rokai makes me laugh out loud.
I was waiting for this one and omg was definitely worth the wait ! This book had me on a emotional roller coaster . I wanted to laugh cry hit something my husband caught me yelling and being a potty moth lol. Get your copy it’s worth it
Wonderful story. Ba Re' certainly made a life change but actually not an unexpected one. He had a very traumatic experience. Elisha also had a traumatic experience. Yes tissues are needed for the bad times as well as the good! Enjoy
I’ve read the whole series and for the most part enjoyed them. Straight up, I did not like the heroine when she made an appearance in Kol’s book. So needless to say but I’ll say it, I was not overly excited for her story, not even the explanation for her treatment of BaRe’ were sound, they were silly and juvenile.
When this book begins we know the hero, BaRe’ is kidnapped so 30% of the story revolves about getting him back, then our heroine makes an appearance to save the day, as it were. To do that she has to find away to infiltrate the enemy also known as the “purist’s” to do that she has too, well she becomes unfaithful to her matebond all in the name of love, as one of the other characters said, to justify her actions; “ she sacrificed YOU to save you”. I was not impressed.
They finally meet at the 50% mark but the focus of the story was not on them until about the 60% mark, then we get the drama of his issues and her inability to deal. Sigh, I wish the book at started at the rescue and build up decent character development and story narrative from there. However that did not happen.
I have a feeling the author had to create a story for BaRe’ to finish the series and she just was not into the character like she was in the past books🤷♀️.
Triggers? Yes, some violence and dubious consent situation.
I want to give this a 1 ⭐️ so bad it’s not funny. This book started out great. Everything that was happening I was vibing w. Elisha’s badassery, the rescue, the intrigue. Everything was going well until Ba’Re’ ruined it.
By ruining it, Elisha’s reaction to his tomfoolery ruined it. He didn’t grovel enough. The hurt and pain he put her through only for him to say a few words & she forgive him?????
Pls no. I was steadily on my way to liking him. His transformation until he messed it up. Ugh I’m so pissed. At the author , the characters , the whole book pisses me off. More so the fact that it was turning out to my fav in the series with the depth that Elisha & Ba-whatever had but it flopped. Flopped immeasurably.
The only reason this is not a 1 ⭐️ rating is because I love the author’s writing. I enjoyed a significant portion of the book, enjoyed the fact that we got to see a lot of the other characters from previous books & the fact the epilogue left me wanting more. So yeah 3 ⭐️
I gave every book in this series 5 stars, & would've given the entire series 5000 stars, but then I read this last one. The series has Everything! Aliens, abduction, romance, suspense, intrigue, battles, & true, there are triggers, but they were tastefully handled right up til this last one. So, so disappointed! I was so looking forward to the hero character's story, really loved him in previous books & had so much potential, even w/all he endured. But the authur decided to completely just snuff him out. The result, imho, not satisfying at all! & the heroine, if u can even call her that, degraded herself & then was further degraded by him! Just think the end reult could've been reached in a much different way. So 3 stars for the continuation & tying up loose ends for the other characters & the series arc.

I have read this series and enjoying the story and characters. This book picks up from Ba Re being captured. Elisha is a top notch mate to go after the people who kidnapped and abused her mate. She really sacrificed herself. Elisha is honorable. Ba Re has been abused, drugged, and harmed so bad that he is not himself anymore. He doesn’t recognize himself or anyone. I was impressed with Jhan, Quin, Kol, and Rokai. I did not like the ending for Ba Re. It made me sad. The rest of the story is good and interesting. Read On!
So far one of the darkest in the series except for the first book. It was particularly harrowing for the two main characters, what they had to go through and the change as a result of their torture. How do you find each other again or even come to terms with the new broken you and still have that much love? Well this story shows you how. Another great story from SN. Will miss the Crusteasi on earth, to be honest we could do with them to teach humanity a thing or two. Looking forward to the next adventure 😀.
Such an emotion-filled story! As always, this author takes me through a full range of emotions as the characters find their way to the love they seek. I admire Elisha SO much, as she finds a way to rescue her beloved. As for Ba Re’, he goes through the wringer finding his way back. With the help of Rokai ahl (yes, I love him, too), he finds a way to express the male he now is. What a fantastic pair Elisha and Ba Re’ are! Their happiness is worth the wait. An exceptional story!
A story that makes you realize that even the Alien species are much like humans. They may look different and come from another place in space, but they can be loved, broken, and reborn just as we humans are in a tragic situation.
My heart broke for Elisha and Ba'Re. Their story shows what any species will do to save their true soul mate.
Love can withstand anything thrown in it's way when it is true.
I read the first book and thought ok a little rough, too simplistic, sure to get better...So I Bought the series...Nope they got worse, couldn't finish them. Deleted from my kindle...Simple Childish dialogue combined with almost masculine detailed torture of multiple women. Most appearing to just get over it with little or no physical / emotional problems. Is author a male?
I've read the whole series and was so excited to see a new one had come out. This one Was One of my favorites in this series. The plot was excellent and the characters were relatable in their emotional ups and down reactions as the story progressed. Though they were aliens I could relate to them emotionally. I loved everything about this book and the series.
****DO NOT READ this book if unless you have no issues with verbal, physical, and sexual abuse between your mcs. This was so awful how did they label this a romance?! I am absolutely baffled by how high of a rating this book has. I guess it must be all people who have rape fantasies? I absolutely loved the first book in this series the Mc was so sweet and loving then here we are at book 6 and omg it was so toxic.
I find it hard to read a book that has as much emotion and pain as this book. Pain and rejection go hand in hand in my world. The pain is not seen as Ba Re' felt or Elisha felt but the ability to write such pain come from deep within. I have seen (read) it in your other books but Haven was world of love, caring, recovery and love or understanding, not the pain in this book. Did you have to hurt a good guy?
This series just pulled me in! The one thing i love is the struggle that the characters go through to find their happiness. Their can be no light without darkness
The ending is killing me though Mel needs her hea! I can not wait for the next one!
So sad it finished, like I am with every book and series that Sandra does. It never goes on long enough for me, think I need a book a thick as war and peace to make me happy lol. Loved the book, sad the character changed so much but maybe not too lol Sad I have to wait for another book as they are always the first book I'll read as soon as they come out ...
Was so excited to see this next book come on line. The whole series is one of my favourites and this did not disappoint. Picking up from Ba Re' being taken by the Purists and the Cruestace searching for him. Brilliantly written, could not put it down. Looking forward to Haven 7.
This series has great flow that sets upon you and you have no clue how you ended up here! I stand by my previous thought... this is the one series that all others will be compared and judged by in this genre! Miss Neeley is an OUTSTANDING STORY TELLER! I implore you NOW pick up this series! It is UDDERLY SPECTACULAR!
It’s with great sadness to see this series end so soon , but I certainly enjoyed the adventures, the love and heartbreak each individual bring forth to the success of this romance.I especially love that the author includes everyone in the previous books.👏🥰
Without one doubt in my mind, Reclaimed is the second best story in the Haven Series with Vivi and Quinn's the first and the best. The main story of Reclaimed has it all. The sex, humor, pathos and the best character interactions. I loved it! NOW Lets get to Va'Roush and Mel's adventure.
This series I am enjoying, the characters are too funny, some parts of the stories I got angry with or sadden by but still what the author did to get emotions within these books to pop are great. This book was no exception in pulling out emotions hopefully the saga continues. Thanks👩🏾💻🍿🍸
The End? This was a great series. It had amazing characters, exciting plots, and we got to travel through a bit of the universe. The writing quality, character growth, and world building were all top notch. This wrapped up the series narrative nicely, but there are enough side characters that we could revisit Command Warship 1 in the future. Well done.
Really enjoyed this series, number one and number six are my favorite. I've read the entire series twice. I really like blue dude but I wasn't a fan of the storyline as much, but still a good story. She's created a rich in depth universe and real characters. Worth your time.
Wow this book was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The pain these two went through to finally get their happy. So good to see familiar characters too. Looking forward to more from this lot.
This was my first time reading this author or series. It came up in my feed on KU. Interesting book and I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author.
Another Great Story from Sandra R Neeley in the Haven Series!
I was not disappointed in the action and storyline of this Haven story. I knew that great challenges would occur before the hero & heroine could have each other. Can’t wait until the next story!!
I adored this series. I thought Variant was awesome, but Haven is beyond words. I love everything about this series. I couldn't put each book down and can't wait for Haven 7. Sandra R. Medley is a fantastic author and I can't wait to read more of her books.
Wow. I loved this book. Ba Ra' is incredible. And Elisha ..my heart was breaking for her. I wanted to slap Ba Ra' so bad. A must read . This series is incredible. 5 stars.
