A hilarious chance meeting at 30,000 feet could change her life. Is she ready to let love in?
Mina is leaving everything behind to travel to her small hometown of Johnson Creek. Leaving a successful tattoo shop and failed abusive relationship, she is determined to focus on building a strong relationship with her long neglected family.
Nico first lays eyes on Mina at the airport and immediately feels drawn to the larger than life personality of the mystery stranger. When he finds out they will be living only a short drive away from one another, he is determined to see her again.
Can he rescue her from her past and teach her how to love or is she determined to push him away?
Amity Malcom writes books about people, sex, and people having sex. Her books are full of humor and heat that she only wishes she possessed in real life the way her characters do on page.
When she isn’t procrastinating on her next manuscript by devouring romance books at an unhealthy pace, you can find her exploring Washington DC alongside her wife, planning extravagant vacations she’ll never be able to afford, and trying with haste to pet every animal on the planet.
Only four awards away from winning an EGOT, Amity is proud to be a champion of underrepresented relationships and loves to celebrate queer joy in all its various forms.
For a debut book, I am blown away. This book was everything I love about romance books. It was sweet and spicy. Let me tell you, it's pretty spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶. The book started off with a meet cute that had me laughing. There is a bit of insta-love, which I'm here for the swoon and spice so insta-love never bothers me. But this was done well with a pacing that felt right. I've never been a fan of "cinnamon roll" male characters…..but if they are like Nico, soft inside a hard exterior bring them on. Mina has recently ended a bad relationship. Nico was supportive, understanding, and patient.

Piercings, tattoos, brother's best friend, small town, meet-cute this book had it all.
i was gonna give this book 4 stars on instinct alone- but then im sitting here thinking that i can't find anything wrong with it. at all. except a few typing errors. i don't know if it was just my copy, but a bunch of periods were missing in random places.
i devoured this in a day (easy for me since it's just hovering above 200 pages) and the first scene had me CACKLING. this bitch pulls out a vibrator. ON A PLANE. like, i could not even with that. and if a book makes me laugh (which rarely happens and needs to happen more) it is automatically on my "good list".
when i read that the MC was tattoo artist i was wary. i find some authors push the "being different" narrative. i have watercolor tattoos all over my arms and have had my hair an array of colors. and i hate when authors push that off as not being a "normal" person or having a "normal" personality and make them totally crazy and continue to push that narrative. am i even making sense here? well if you're still following me... that wasn't done here. at all. and i appreciated that.
the smut? chefs kiss y'all. this mama needed to take a cold shower. phew.
i hope she continues this series with colin and daphne. like i need those two to hook up, mmmk.
OH! and SHIT. this book is stunning. the cover rocks but what makes it is the chapter pages. they are awesome sauce!
For her debut novel, Amity has knocked it out of the park. I fell in love with her two main characters in just a few chapters. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one if you like flawed characters who fall for one another.
Fantastic book! The way Nico cares for Mina is truly lovely (and hot). Daphne is hilarious and the family dynamic reminds me of my own with my big brothers.
I could not put this book down! It’s my favorite kind of book…romance with lots of spice added in. I am already looking forward to the next book in this series!
Short Synopsis: Mina temporarily moves back to her small hometown after her brother asks for her support, on her way she has a comical encounter with a dreamy man who just so happens to live nearby where she’ll be staying.
This was a short and sweet one, and I really enjoyed it. Especially as a body modded person with fun hair, I definitely loved that aspect! Things I liked: 🐙 I really liked both Mina and Nico, I liked their personalities. Mina was a badass, but she was also soft and sweet, and so was Nico! 🐙 I liked their relationship, and sometimes insta-love isn’t it for me. But I really enjoyed it in this book! 🐙 I loved the supporting characters, Colin, Daphne, and mama Pauli! 🐙 I loved the small town vibes, it’s just so dreamy 😍 🐙 The spicy scenes were so good 🌶🥵 🐙 The consent King Nico 👑
Things I didn’t like: 🐙 I didn’t really dislike much of anything, besides Matt, obviously. I wish it was a longer book because I loved reading about them, but it was so good on its own.
I definitely recommend picking this one up! It was spicy, sexy, but still super sweet and lovely!
First and foremost a huge thank you to @amitymalcom for sending me her book! I love supporting indie authors and I’m so grateful you reached out to me.
Now - on to Inked.
Tattoo artist Mina is headed back from Portland to her small hometown in North Carolina to help her brother after he lost his wife. She’s also escaping a bad relationship. Mina bumps into Nico at the airport, and they have an instant connection - a connection that carries over to North Carolina when they discover that Nico is Mina’s brother’s best friend.
Here’s what I loved about this book: I am such a sucker for romances where the man loves to take care of and cherish the woman. Oh my heart. And this has all of that. Nico is such a big softie with a rough exterior and the way he is with Mina had me flying through the pages in two days. This book is so dang consumable!
CW: This book discusses physical, mental and verbal abuse, as well as consensual graphic sex scenes.
From the very beginning, I was hooked. We've all embarrassed ourselves at some point but what a hilarious way to strike up a conversation. Nico and Mina are great together. They have so much fun together and are very supportive of each other...not to mention the passion!! They've got it all! Definitely recommend this debut novel!
LOVED this book. The story of Mina and Nico has my heart and wish I could learn more about their story. I laughed, cried, and swooned while reading - which oddly enough, I started reading while on a plane :) There are parts of the book I felt skipped ahead without warning - leaving me to have to go back and make sure I didn't miss something in the previous few pages. While the story is amazing, I think there are pieces I wanted to know more and there was space to add some of those details and make the transitions smoother. I'm looking forward to Amity Malcom's next books!

This book was amazing! The characters were developed and amazing. The storyline was healing and full of overcoming past situations, which I adored. The first scene was funny as hell. I was laughing so hard while reading it. I knew immediately that I would love this book completely. Like out the gate, I was hooked. I really enjoyed that it was spicy and sweet. I laughed, I loved, and I teared up a little bit. I recommend this book 100 percent!
This was stinkin' cute! I absolutely loved this story. It was well written and I absolutely love that they didn't fight off their feelings for one another and push each other away. Its always nice to read stories where the main characters accept that they are attracted to each other and give it a shot. I love that Colin wasn't a typical asshole older brother - he allowed his best friend to be with his sister. Speaking of Colin, I can't wait to read his and Daphne's story !!!!
This is my first book by this author and I definitely want to read more <3 I had a feeling Matt would come after her. When he does - I completely understand how she reacts. We all say that if we were put in that situation we would fight back but realistically most of us would freeze like she did. Thank God Nico was there! Ugh I love Nico! He is the best He has been a dream since the first encounter. He is super supportive and present for her. I love this couple
This book made me want to dye my hair pink, get another tattoo, try some peanut butter pie, and renovate a house. Amity Malcom also pulled a chekhov gun with that vibrator in hand luggage, making for a pretty good meet cute. I also enjoyed this take on brothers best friend. I love an angry brother as much as the next person, but at the same time I do question why they're friends with someone they wouldn't trust to date their sister. Having a supportive brother was sweet, and we still got some of those protective vibes. Amity Malcom always pulls in a couple of heavier themes, but I like that they don't take up so much focus as to take away from the low angst nature of her books that I love. They always seem a real part of her characters, without being the main focus. I also applaud the inclusion of resources for domestic violence at the end of the book, as so often a story like this can be what opens someone's eyes or gives them the push to leave.
3.5/5 stars! Wow, loved how this started off & how it progressed. Instant attraction love, smutty romance, with neat & interesting lead characters! Way better than I expected it to be. Fun book, easy read, not too long, ends just right too! Also, love the dual povs, makes it so easy to read through if you have a short attention span.
I read all kinds of books. But it seems like most rom-coms and erotica stories are all following the same pattern. The story is good, the sex scenes are good, but it just seems like every other erotica book I’ve read lately. It was a little predictable and I just didn’t love it.
What a sweet delightful book. I just smiled through so much because it made me happy to read it. This book tugged on my heartstrings and gave me all the feels.
INKED!!! Okay this is my first time reading any of this author books. it was a quick read, and I did enjoy the story line. The two main charters were no perfect and they did except each other for who they were. I love Nico and Mina very much !
