A single night of passion leaves a lasting impression on Isabell and Pierce. The connection they made was so overwhelming, it sent Isabella running for the hills. Four months later, fate steps in and these two run into each other by sheer happenstance. Pierce and that dogged determination of his was not about to let Isabella slip away from him again. He gives chase but, she doesn’t run too far. Tempting His Control was a cute and sweet love story with just a hint of drama to keep it entertaining. This was a great start to The Moods of Love series. I’m definitely looking forward to the other of the books.

Love vs. Control
A night of passion leaves an imprint on both, Pierce and Isabella that last far beyond their time together. Call it fate or a coincidence, but a few chance encounters put the duo back in the same space too many times to ignore, and eventually the layers of their personal lives and romantic feelings are pushed to the forefront of their bond.
Usually, I rave over the hero when reading, but I must say I loved Bella just the same! She was sweet, freaky (haha), and took proud in her job. The relationship between she and her mother was beautiful, and the way she stood in Pierce’s corner once he revealed his “skeletons” was big on her part!
The story is a novella but the author did a great job with ensuring the plot was full, the sex scenes were HOT, and the love was felt!

When two become one....
Look, I read the prologue and said to myself, umm is this Erika B writing? Erika came into 2022, to let us know, my name is Erika B, and let me reintroduce myself. I am a phenomenal indie author and I am bringing all the 🌬 smoke. I am here for all, it truly shows an author's gift and talents when they can expand their imagination and write another genre. This book is not short of love however it is displayed with a hint of BDSM. So hold on, your attention will be intrigued by the first line.
Pierce and Isabella complemented each other. The way that they met was unconventional but the best relationships had the most unique beginnings. The control Pierce thought he had diminished quickly when he was in Isabella's presence. I understood Pierce's dilemma but connected with Isabella more. She was an overachiever trying to check off her mother's list before thirty. She was doing well accomplishing one task. I loved the connection Isabella had with Princess. I kind of had a feeling that Princess was Pierce when his mother was being overly dramatic. She commented but then again Princess's name was similar to Prince. The whole family dynamic was different but it worked. Unfortunately, I do not think Tianna was over Tonya's incident. Tianna seemed to hold a vendetta against Pierce. She just had a bitter vibe about her.
Ms. Erika put her thoughts, time, and hard work into this book. It is ironic because I got almost to the end and was panicking. I was thinking it can't be a part two I want it all now. I have to see how things pan out. The plot is how Pierce and Isabella became one was executed well. Pierce knew from his first encounter that Isabella was his other half. I loved the twists because I wasn't expecting all that was revealed. I did have a favorite couple of lines, that just made me laugh. When Pierce said, "I kept moving toward my office. I had to handle that woman with a long-handled spoon because a smile or even conversation had her thinking I wanted her, and that was the furthest from the truth. Not to be mean, but she looked like she smoked crack for breakfast, snorted coke for lunch, and shot up heroin for dinner." I was cracking up. The women of BLP look to be bringing us more moods of love. I am excited about what's in store. Meanwhile, download and enjoy this one. Ms. Erika B is the conductor leading this train.

Just okay….
This was just an okay read for me. It’s kind of a confusing one to rate because it is set up like an erotic romance but I didn’t find it to have gone far enough down that lane and then it had proper emotional issues and opportunity for great romantic drama but the treatment of that felt very surfacey and didn’t really go in deep. This meant that for my taste, it never really hit the mark as an erotic romance nor as an emotional romance. The premise is that Pierce is back in town to rebuild his life after a tragedy nearly four years ago when he meets his niece’s nanny, Isabella, a woman with trust issues who’s eluded him for months after a memorable night together. Sparks fly but their attraction might get in the way of his healing.
This was set up as a BDSM romance but it never really delivered on that or on the erotic promise that started off in chapter 1. Therefore, more time and attention could have been given to dealing with Isabella’s trust issues and Pierce’s family drama. The resolution of the latter was not really satisfying for me- it was a complex, painful situation for all involved but it felt like it was all written away with a sleight of hand- like the author decided the book was over and just decided to tie up loose ends even though they still felt very thick and unresolved and not at all like ends.
That said, the premise was really interesting and the book was well-edited even if the flow of it wasn’t necessarily for me. I think overall it was okay, a solid 2.5 - 3 stars.

What a steamy prologue! This was an interesting second chance romance. Isabella ghosts Pierce after a very steamy one night stand and they meet again four months later. Isabella puts up a good fight but “the heart wants what it wants.” There is an unexpected twist at the end. I didn’t want the story to end.

Piercing Lovely
Bella had been unlucky in the love department and set out to try something different.... This led her to Pierce aka Daddy whom she thought she would have some wild fun with. However, their unexpected connection was overwhelming. She was in no way shape or form ready for those type of feelings so she cut off all communication with him.
Fate is funny because Bella's job, unbeknownst to her, connected them unexpectedly. Pierce had a major loss and he found himself in a vulnerable position. As he realized that he needed to get back to what was really important to him, seeing Bella aka his Lovely again threw him for a loop. He wanted her and he made no qualms about it. Their connection was so strong and he had to pursue it. Listen Pierce was sexy and his confidence in knowing Bella's body was off the charts. He had to find a way to keep her.
It was a novella, but the ending was rushed. I wanted it to be more detailed. Just a little more of them together. To really experience their dynamic instead of it being told as a memory.
Overall I enjoyed Bella and Pierce as they found their way back to each other.

Hot, steamy, and everything in between!
Have you ever read a book that had you so captivated after the first few sentences you knew you were gonna be up all night reading until it was finished? Well, this book was that book for me. When I tell you how this book had me in a virtual chokehold from the beginning to the words "The end"..... The chemistry and the undeniable thirst that Pierce and Isabella had for each other was so palpable that I could almost feel the intensity of it coming through the digital pages of my Kindle. I loved how Pierce wouldn't let Isabella retreat from him or her feelings. He made her acknowledge him and what she was feeling. Did I say how much I love an Alpha male? Because Pierce is DEFINITELY an Alpha male.
I have mixed feelings in regard to the secondary characters. Particularly Tianna, Prince's wife. That woman has some deep self-esteem issues. I'm not going to spoil the book for other readers. But old girl needs therapy along with Prince and Pierce's mother. The drama that Pierce was dealing with was soooo deep, sad, and emotional. I loved how Isabella stepped up to the plate when he needed her most. There is so much more I could say about this book! But I don't want this review to become too long. But that epilogue? That was a banger! Heck, this whole book was a banger!! I will most definitely be rereading this book in the not so distant future.

Pierce and Isabella had a night neither could forget, but it was so all consuming she had to ghost him. When a man can control and command your body the way Pierce did hers, I completely understand running scared.
Imagine her surprise when he pops up again demanding and commanding like time stood still. The thing now, she's his brother and sister in law's employee, but the kicker is she has to live under the same roof with him for 2 weeks while house sitting, CONTROL SNAPPED!
These two have some insane chemistry, but Pierce has a past and Princess, the little girl Isabella Nanny for isn't his niece. With truths being laid out, their inability to control themselves being discovered on camera, Pierce and Isabella have to decide whether or not they want to act on the fact that they're connection is more than physical or risk losing it all.
This book was good, but Pierce's response to his wife when she said she wasn't feeling well and the outcome of the situation had me feeling some type of way. Do I think he's at fault, no. Now I was kinda of shocked when I found out Princess was not his brother and wife child I do understand that Perice went through with his wife dying suddenly I can even understand him blaming himself But I'm like his brother said he always felt that he should have never signed them papers But he also was under destress so evidently the court must did not agree with the papers... And also feel like Prince wife needs to let it go I understand she doesn't have kids of there own But Perice have been through enough he got his life back on track...
And like that her mom and her still gets together every Tuesday. But now she has a grand daughter too something she wanted Brunch with and that she can spoil and her mom found a good man after losing her Husband 10 years ago so Even after lose you can find happiness again.

Yes, ma'am! Pierce! Lawd! That man is the epitome of sexy and wanting control in all aspects of his life! Meeting a woman and having one night with her, was life changing for Pierce! She made him feel things that he hasn't in a long time, and he could feel his control start to slip a bit. Isabella, was enjoying her life as a nanny, but a night with a stranger was so good, that it shook her to her core! She didn't understand why she felt so comfortable, and enjoyed being submissive to him! It terrified her, and she ran from those feelings. But, Pierce was not having it! Their connection was intense, but you could feel how much they cared for each other, at the same time! I loved the relationship Pierce had with his brother Prince. But, what was up with Tianna? Why did she seem to hate everyone? Now, the revelation about Princess did shock me! Enjoyed this read! 👍👍👍

Pierce and Isabella are irresistible. Loved their spicy interactions. I didn't realize who Princess was until Pierce spilled the beans, wow. Then I understood why Tianna was acting salty towards Isabella. I didn't understand why Tianna and her parents blamed Pierce for what happened and Still holding on to that. I didn't understand how Isabella mother knew so much details when she never told her about the brother.. Had to go back and verify that piece. Though too short nice ending.

When You Find Your Other Half!
Erika B, good read. Isabella and Pierce had no clue their worlds would connect as it did. The universe does what it does and the players find themselves just where they need to be. Was Pierce selfish ? Yes in my opinion he was. Did it cost him? Yes it did. He learn a valuable lesson from his actions. Bella had no idea how her life was gonna change. Watching Bella love herself and become the woman she was meant to be was it for me. I think I was closer to Isabella being she finally got to live out her fantasy and not be Judged.🤗🤗🤗🤗

The entire time I was rooting for them despite their own personal history with love and family challenges. I also loved Bella’s relationship with her mother. It so resonated with me. This is definitely a mood!!

I give this book Tempting His Control: The Moods of Love 4 out of 5 stars because I enjoyed the little unexpected events and connections in the book. I wish the book was longer and more detailed with the last chapters. There was mystery as to what was going on with Pierce and then with Isabelle. After finding out about that it seemed to end too quickly. I do like that this is a different type of book for me.

I absolutely loved this book! This book was a great way to start off a series filled with awesome stories from phenomenal authors! From the first line in this book, I was hooked. I knew Mr. pierce was going to give me everything I needed, and he did not disappoint. I felt for Isabella because I felt the connection instantly and although she put up a valiant effort, she didn’t stand a chance 😂. This book had everything to make a sensual read so much more. I haven’t read many books by Eriika B. but after this one I feel that I need to dive into her catalogue ASAP!

Pierce and Isabella story was so good in so many ways. Pierce was a man who blame himself for what happen to his family . I was glad that Isabella was their to help control his temper and continue to be the rock he need . Tianna seem to be jealous of the love princess has toward Bella . Tianna and her family knew better to place blame or arrange a contract when Pierce as already hurting . I love how Prince go hard for his brother . What God put in place man or women can never destroy !!

Enjoyed this love story! I love the relationship between Pierce & Isabella. Love, understanding, heartache, friendship and family. I loved the relationship that Pierce and Prince had, they had a strong brotherly bond! Prince was his brother's keeper! Isabella relationship with her mother was just as special! I love the build up of the relationship and how Princess parts were placed in the story as well! Enjoyed the ending, but hope to see more from Pierce & Isabella!

I started reading this book at work and quickly tossed it to the side...as I gathered myself...WHEW!
Needless to say, I was not disappointed and really enjoyed this couple. Pierce's story was tragic but I admire the fact that he knew he couldn't handle his situation alone, thankfully his brother stepped up. "Control" has so many meanings in this novella--although Bella and Piece thought they were struggling with control--you can't tempt fate and what is meant to be will be!

If you like romance, love, brotherly camaraderie, and a whirlwind affair I most definitely recommend this book for you. Pierce was definitely an Alpha Male who was determined to get what he wanted and Isabella was determined to give him what he wanted. This book started off hot.

The first line of the book had me all in. I didn't Princess was who she was from the beginning but at some point before we found it, it clicked. Tianna was not over what happens to her sister but I don't like that they blamed Pierce for it. I really enjoyed this story and I would recommend.

I did not see the twist involving Princess but it was refreshing reading about Pierce getting his baby girl!! It worked out sooooo beautifully with Bella!!

I loved Isabella and Pierces' love story. I felt so bad about what happened to Pierce. Even though their relationship started out with just sex, they were able to fall in love. Their connection was sizzling hot 🥵. I did not see the whole princess issue coming but I'm glad it worked out. HEA

Good Read
This was a good read and I loved the chemistry between Bella and Pierce. I loved the brotherhood and relationship between the two brothers, Prince and Pierce… I don’t like Prince wife I think its more to the story. I want more it seems like bits band pieces needed to be put together. Excited about what’s next from this author.
