After a turbulent start, Anna McBride is finally settling into her new life in Seagull Cove, Massachusetts. Business is strong, and her ice cream shop is fast becoming the community hub that Anna dreamed it would be.
Just as she’s getting comfortable in her new life, Olivia, one of Anna’s young employees, discovers her uncle’s body, and the teen’s mother turns to Anna for help finding the killer. After all, Anna knows all too well what it feels like to lose a sibling prematurely.
Meanwhile, with the help of a handsome journalist, Anna uncovers more clues surrounding her own sister’s alleged death.
If you love small New England seaside towns, endearing characters, page-turner mysteries, and ice cream parlors, you’ll love the Seaside Ice Cream Shop Mysteries.
Angela K. Ryan is the author of the Sapphire Beach Cozy Mystery Series, the Seaside Ice Cream Shop Mysteries, and the Cape Cod Cozy Mysteries. She writes clean, feel-good cozies for readers who love humor, lots of twists and turns, and happy-dance endings.
When she is not writing, Angela enjoys the outdoors, especially kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snowshoeing, and skiing. She lives in Massachusetts and loves all four of the New England seasons, but she looks forward to regular escapes to the white, sandy beaches of southwest Florida, where her mother resides.
It is fitting that Angela’s series take place in fictitious seaside towns in Massachusetts and Florida. These small towns would be idyllic if it weren’t for all the bodies that keep turning up!
Angela dreams of one day owning a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel like the sweet pup in her Sapphire Beach Series, but she isn’t home enough to take care of one. So, for now, lives vicariously through one of her main characters, Connie.
This is the 2 nd book in the series. I'm liking these series. Anna a woman who owns an ice cream shop after her sister Bella boating accident. The ice cream shop is called Bella Dream. Anna was trying to find out if her sister is still alive. Anna went into some of her bank accounts and when she dissapered there were slot of amounts of money taken out. Is it true what Joe saw( Joe is a costumer of Anna's and a ex PI.) The other story line is Luke a man that Olivia ( Anna employee) uncle was killed and Olivia found him. Olivia mom Ellen and Anna were trying to solve who killed Ellen brother Luke. But Charlie the cop that was investigating told them to stop snooping. With Luke's girlfriend Nina his ex friend Wil Nina brother Chris and Phillip a man that Luke was trying to find out what happened that set a fire in his house. Which one is the suspect. Or is it entirely someone more corrupt
I'm really getting into this series! The only downside is that the next book doesn't release until June, but that might give me time to read some in the Sapphire Beach series this was a spinoff from. The mystery of Anna's sister is just getting better and better. Too bad her investigation was interrupted by murder. When her teen employee Olivia's mom Ellen asked Anna to help her sleuth, how could Anna say no? Anna and Ellen did make a pretty good sleuthing team, but the problem was keeping it on the downlow from Joe and Charlie.
I was completely surprised by whodunit and thought it was clever how Ellen and Anna set a trap for the killer. After that success, Anna also felt she'd made a decent amount of progress toward her sister's case, but she'd sure found out some things about Bella that she never knew! Now I can't wait to read on in the series! In the meantime, I plan to start the Sapphire Beach series and get to know Anna's cousin Connie and her friends.
This is a good book, well-written with excellent mystery. I'm just too tired of the over-used plot device of the main character (a woman) trying to solve a murder outside of the local law enforcement - risking herself and other people to do this. If you don't mind that type of plot, then I recommend this book as the author does an excellent job of characters, locations and situations.

Solve One Mystery After a turbulent start, Anna McBride is finally settling into her new life in Seagull Cove, Massachusetts. They managed to solve one mystery but not another one. Bella's disappearance still isn't solved. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited. This in no way affects my opinion of this book.
I have really enjoyed these cozy mysteries. Anna is turning into a good amateur sleuth. Now, she is investigating the death of her sister, Bella, that occurred 4 years ago. Is Bella dead, or did she stage her death?????
What a good one. I enjoyed that we have two mysteries going on but nothing gets confusing. We have our current murder mystery and our on going Bella mystery. This book is well written and interesting the entire time. So much has been packed in but it doesn’t feel overwhelming. It keeps a nice pace and the characters are enjoyable. I’m looking forward for to the next book in this series.
Angela has a way to keep you wanting more. E spell the ice cream everyone eats! Never thought that's rahi the murder was. .on to next one! Is she or isn't she?
This is the second book in the series about Icecream shop owner Anna and her sleuthing. I felt the characters were well drawn and I could relate to them.
I enjoyed the main story but I’d like the Bella mystery solved sooner rather than later. Have I got to read the last book in the series to find out what happened to Bella. This is probably because I’m very impatient and I don’t like cliff hangers.
