Kitty and the Woodland Wildcat

Rate this book
Kitty is on a camping holiday with her friend Ozzy. Just like Kitty, Ozzy is a superhero-in-training with owl-like superpowers. During their stay in Whitefern Wood, they meet a wary wildcat, desperately looking for her lost kittens. The trouble is, she doesn't trust humans at all. Kitty must earn her trust and then prove her worth as a superhero in training, by finding the kittens and saving the day.

First of all, a disclaimer; I received this book through Amazon Vine, and haven't read the previous.

The series of Kitty books follow a young girl, Kitty, who is a superhero in training. She is able to talk to animals and has feline superpowers. In this particular tale, Kitty is on a camping trip with her friend Ozzy and her orange kitten, Pumpkin. During one night, Kitty comes across a wildcat who lives in the woods, but has lost her three kittens. Can Kitty and ozzy help her to find them?

As a newcomer to this series, I found it a cute, very easy read for younger children. It is illustrated throughout by Jenny Lovlie, who uses shots of colour along with black, white and grey. This instalment has orange, but I'm not sure if the previous books have different colours as their accent. It was a charming little tale, and Kitty is certainly an engaging character. I can easily see why younger readers would like to follow her adventures.

This is the first book that I read in this series and I loved it!

Not only did I like the story but I also thought that the illustrations are absolutely stunning!!

In Kitty and the Woodland Wildcat, we follow Kitty in an outdoor adventure that it will bring her close to a Wildcat with a little problem only Kitty and Ozzy can solve!

This book was fun, entertaining and perfect for fans of Isadora Moon!

Again this is from a series I have previously reviewed before and this is book nine in the series but each reads fine as a standalone. This book is short, easy reading and beautifully illustrated throughout with some very bright colours included. Kitty is the main character in the whole series and at night is a super hero. In this adventure she brings along a few of her friends and always find something to do or someone to save. This time it’s a woodland wild cat who has lost her kittens and a storm is approaching… Will Kitty and her friends be able to find the Kittens before it’s too late? A well deserved four stars from me. Perfect for any little readers. An adventure.

The 9th book in Paula Harrison’s entertaining KITTY SERIES for children aged 6+ puts Kitty and her friend Ozzy in peril as they help a wildcat who has a very low opinion of humans. Jenny Løvlie’s illustrations continue to work very well with the text and add to the energy of the pace and sense of danger. I like the focus on friendship and being willing to help in this series and look forward to reading what Kitty and her pals get up to next.

This book was good.😊 I liked learning about the cats urgency of needing to find her kittens.Of Pune the kitten kind of silly too because why did they leave their home just because they wanted to find their mum when the mum will come back. However I liked the rescue mission that Kitty and owl had in the story and it was a nice read.

This series has some of my favorite illustrations in the chapter books genre! The plot is just okay but the writing style is decent.

It is the first book in the series I have read. The story is about Kitty and her friend’s (Ozzy) adventure on the wood. The story is cute and easy to read. Illustrations are also stunning!

Another cute book in the series, but my god does the author need a new editor. There are spelling mistakes and grammatical errors in every single book.

I usually don't mark these as read on gr/sg, but I wanted to put this one here...bc I discovered there are 3 more books!! I thought this was the last one! Huzzah!! These are really sweet, quick stories for younger readers. I love the messages and illustrations, and it's just nice to read about a character who helps animals and brings out the best in humans, you know?? I love them now, but I would've been obsessed with these if I'd had them as a kiddo.

If you are going to wander off tell someone where you are going. You never know if you are going to have a Kitty to find you! A fun book of camping, helping others but also patience and belief in what you saw. Storms, friendship and bravery is definitely the themes of this one.
