We live in uncertain times. Our society is changing rapidly and many of us feel left behind. How can we face the future with confidence? In these resurrection meditations, Tim Chester reassures our fearful hearts by pointing us to the Lord Jesus and his finished work. Guiding us through the later chapters of Hebrews, these devotions remind us that, when everything around us is turning and churning, we can fix our eyes on Jesus, the anchor of our souls.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Fixated Advent devotional by Chester a few years ago. When I saw there was an Easter book, I quickly snagged a copy.

While Fixated takes you through the first five chapters of Hebrews, Forgiven goes through the end of the book taking you through the season of Lent. Each day provides a short devotional that focuses on a section of scriptures. Each devotional can easily be read in a few minutes.

This is my second time going through this book, and I doubt it will be my last. I highly recommend it!

We read this as a church and I found it really helpful in the lead up to Easter. It followed on well from Chester's advent readings (Fixated) which I read last year. Together they look at the person and work of Jesus in the book of Hebrews. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because it didn't stimulate conversations with others in the way I hoped it would.

This is a great devotional through the second half of Hebrews. It’s a great combination of Scriptural depth and brevity that allows for meaningful engagement with God’s Word on busy mornings. It’s marketed as an Easter/Lent devotional but it could be enjoyed any time of year.

A helpful series of daily devotions from the book of Hebrews, designed for reading in the run-up to Easter, but perennially relevant. Tim Chester is always an engaging writer, and this is an encouraging collection of meditations. I felt the "Reflection" sections, though, were a bit lacking.

Meditations leading up to Easter Sunday. This book I was helpful to me in reminding me why I celebrate Easter and helped me be reminded of the gospel daily from Ash Wednesday up until Easter weekend. Will be a good book to reach for each spring season.

This is a follow up to the advent book Fixated. It continues a slow walk through Hebrews 5-13 through the season of Lent. Each day is a short devotional that can easily be read in a few minutes but packs a powerful message. This is a book I will revisit often.

Solid theology, a friendly, engaging style, and a commendable attempt to bring the second half of Hebrews to more readers in this fairly light but sincerely devotional manner. It's a bit like a "sequel" to TC's Advent book on Hebrews 1-6.
