From the moment I saw the sword, I knew my life would never be the same. The first time I picked it up it vibrated, hummed, and shocked me. Since then nothing ... until now!
Goody A powerful, real estate developer has been buying up land in the area and wants my business. He refuses to take no for an answer. My bakery, Goody’s Goodies, has been in the family for more than a century, it is the only thing I have left of my grandmother. I will not sell. But his threats are becoming real and people are dying.
Tristan I have been searching for the mystery woman I scened with in a club in New York. I knew she was mine but was called away just before she was unmasked. Imagine my surprise when she shows up at the B&B next door to my planned BDSM club, The Refuge. She has drawn the fury of a very old and dangerous shifter.
This is not the first time I have met up with this evil. It is time for the sword to awaken for it is said the sword can kill a dragon.
Can we eliminate him before he turns everything Goody loves to ashes?

I would strongly encourage anyone reading the Masters of Valor series to read the Prophecy prequel, which sets up this series. It will help the reader understand the four main male characters, Gabriel Watson, Tristan Crawford, Bennet Greyson, Ford Montgomery, and the magical swords, Courechouse, Clarent, Arondight, and Caliburn.
Masters of Valor is a spin-off series from the Masters of the Savoy series where present—history—and paranormal collide. In that series, Gabriel ‘Gabe’ Watson, head of security at the Savoy, will meet Anne Boelyn, who has escaped the veil and her prison between light and dark at the Tower of London. The following stories will share how Tristan, Bennet, and Ford find their swords and how they use them to fight evil.
This story begins in New York, where Cynthia ‘Goody’ Goodson is a highly sought-after pastry chef known for her baking. She will come home early, catch her live-in boyfriend cheating on her, and learn their years together as a couple was a farce. As a Midnight Caller BDSM club member, she will go there for the night and ask for a session with a Dom—while she remains blindfolded. The night is one for the books—but he gets a phone call and must leave. Several months later, her grandmother dies, and she must go home to Rackham’s Roost at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It is time to return to her roots, and Goodson’s Bakery is renamed Goody’s Goodies.
“Fate has a way of leading us to where she wants us to be.”
Tristan Crawford comes from old money, but his family considers him the black sheep, except when he makes news as a famous treasure hunter of lost ships. He will be in New York and at Midnight Caller when asked to scene with a mystery submissive who chooses to be blindfolded. They have an incredible scene—and he plans on enjoying her more until he gets a call for help from one of his friends and must leave. What a surprise to come to the Outer Banks and meet up with his mystery lady. The story will share how Tristan finds his treasures and makes his fortune, leading him to the second sword, Clarent, the Sword of Blood Peace—the sword that slew King Arthur.
I love the fast-paced, action-packed, mystery-suspense supernatural story. What isn’t to love, two strangers, one magical night, months later, reconnection, and the erotic chemistry are as strong if not stronger than their one night at Midnight Caller. Tristan and Goody are the yin to the others yang. Throw in several critical people, a few troublemakers, and an evil dragon! You have the good, the bad, and the ugly all collide.
“He was insane; he was obsessed; he was hers.”
Tristan: Cynthia Goodson, love of my life, holder of my heart and soul, the only woman I ever wanted to sail off into the sunset with, will you marry me? Sweet thing? I’m waiting. Goody: You don’t really think I’d turn down my very own knight in shining armor, now do you? Tristan: The appropriate answer is yes. Goody: Then if that’s what you need to hear, yes, yes, a thousand times yes. I would rather slay dragons with you than own and operate a five-star Michelin restaurant.
“It was as if each supplied the missing piece to the other that had always been missing.”
I love all of Delta James's books but this one is going to be one of my favorites! I was totally engrossed from page one and read it in just a few hours because I couldn't put it down. Goody and Tristian held me captive while I went on their journey with them. Ms. James has a way with words that just makes you want to devour all the books she writes and this one was perfect. I loved all the characters except for the bad ones and can't wait to read their stories. Holy smokes, this book was so good!!! If you like danger, mystery and lots of steamy sexy times, you NEED to get this book!!!
This is book one of the Masters of Valor series and the main characters are Goody (Cynthia Goodson), a chef in a popular restaurant in New York City and Tristan Crawford, a former Marine Raider and now a treasure hunter, diving on wrecks around the world using his boat the Raider’s Revenge. Goody got home early from her job and found her boyfriend Duane in bed with another woman, so left and went to stay in a suite at the Midnight Caller BDSM Club. She asked for a Dom well versed in her needs, to help her relax from the heavy blow she had just received. She is blindfolded throughout to allow her other senses to feel and so never knew who the Dom was that scened with her. Shortly after she gets the news of her grandmother’s death and has to return to Rackham’s Roost, where she finds out she has inherited her grandmother’s legacy of the family bakery that has been in the family for decades. Her own mother was not exactly a close mother to her and she was really raised by her gran, then left to make her way in the city, with her mother not being interested in the bakery nor Goody! Before she can even get home, her mother is calling her asking about the bakery and hassling her to sell it. A powerful businessman is buying up loads of properties in the town and had been asking her gran to sell the bakery. Goody thought she would just sort out her gran’s will and the bakery, then go back to her job in the city. But once she got into it, she started planning what she could do with the bakery and other catering to places nearby. Draco Wyvern is working with her mother, to buy loads of businesses and partly responsible for her mother’s constant pressure for her to sell the bakery, having been upset that Goody got more of her gran’s inheritance than she did. Draco is a dangerous man, who is not actually just a man as readers will find out, making him much more dangerous than first expected! Goody ends up staying at the Page & Quill B&B, run by a lovely lady called Gillian, knowing she would rather sleep in her car than stay with her mother! She asks her friend Angie, who used to work at Midnight Caller, then at the same restaurant as her, if she would like to come and help her in the bakery and she accepts. Angie’s boyfriend Tony doesn’t seem to want to be serious with her so she decides distance would be useful. A building contractor called Ford is key to all the plans Goody has for the bakery, the apartment above it and also the basement. He also knows Tristan well, being one of only four Marine Raiders that survived a mission, for which they blame Draco. The four are Tristan, Ford, Gabe and Ben, all four of whom were present when a spirit appeared before them in a cave and told them about four swords, the last ones of the court of King Arthur. They have been searching for them ever since and each is linked to one of them specifically. The first was Gabe with Courechouse, Tristan with Clarent, Ben with Arondight, and then most recently Ford with Caliburn. The very reason Tristan was called away from his scene with the blindfolded Goody some six months ago. He has never been able to get her out of his head. When Ford calls him with the news he has found the sub he scened with all those months ago, it is a strange coincidence. The four men are setting up a security company in Rackham’s Roost, called Steel Knights Investigations, as well as a new BDSM club called The Rufuge, all on land owned by formerly by Sage Matthews of The Savoy series. Tristan knows how dangerous Draco can be and wants him to be kept away from Goody, having Ford look out for her while he travels back in his boat. Goody’s grandmother’s death of a heart attack is suspect, not that her mother cares and that is not the only death that is linked to the sale of properties and businesses nearby. Draco ups his efforts to get Goody to sell, even though it is clear she is investing on refitting out the bakery and going forward. Tristan turns up just in time for her mother to bring along her ex-Duane, in yet another effort to get her to sell, and he acted as his Dom self and put on an act about him and Goody. A series of steamy scenes now the two have finally been reunited, having never been satisfied or even interested in anyone else in their time apart. Danger follows Goody and those around her as Draco gets desperate and she finds out what he truly is! It’s not the first time Tristan and his friends have come into contact with the evil Draco brings, but his sword is supposed to be a dragon killer so hopefully it will help stop Draco from turning everything they want, into ash. A fantastic start to this series, with steam, adventure, magical swords from the past, a dragon shifter, characters from a previous series and even anne Boleyn! What more do you want? I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
“Fate has a way of leading us to where she wants us to be.”
Once again, author Delta James gives us a story that combines elements of romance, fantasy, real history, creative history, action, adventure, and just the right amount of spice to make a perfectly delicious book. “Illusion” is the first book in the ‘Masters of Valor’ series, which is a spin-off from the ‘Masters of the Savoy’ series. There is a prequel called “Prophecy” which sets up this series, but this book is so well written that I think you can follow everything even if you haven’t yet had the pleasure of reading the prequel.
“Illusion” begins in New York, where Cynthia ‘Goody’ Goodson is a successful pastry chef. She arrives home early one night and discovers her boyfriend in a situation that explodes everything she thought they had together. She’s still a member of a lifestyle club although she hasn’t been there in a long time because her boyfriend wasn’t into it. She calls to ask if she can book a room there for a few nights and a session with a Dominant so she can clear her mind. Sometime later, a death in the family has Goody relocating to North Carolina to settle her beloved grandmother’s estate, which includes a bakery that’s been in the family for generations.
Tristan Crawford is a renowned treasure hunter of lost ships. He happens to be at his lifestyle club in New York when asked to scene with a blindfolded submissive. They have an amazing session together, then he’s interrupted by an emergency call from a friend and abruptly leaves. He’s happily surprised to meet her again in North Carolina, and excited that the unusually perfect chemistry between them is as powerful as it was in New York City. Tristan and Goody have a second chance at love in this romance with strong paranormal elements, and they make the most of it.
This is a fast-paced, action-packed story that kept me involved from the first paragraph to the last. The main characters are compelling, and I really wanted them to get their happy ever after. Also there are BDSM elements in the book, Tristan comes across as particularly sensitive and romantic, not hard-edged. The villains are horrible, and their treachery runs deep. There are a lot of characters in the book but it never gets confusing, and as a reader you’re aware that most are characters that will be recurring in the series. As usual with books by this author, I’m very much looking forward.
I received a copy of this book through Booksprout and am voluntarily sharing my thoughts and opinions. I also purchased a copy through Amazon.
"Once known as the Knights of the Round Table, fate had forced their hand and they’d watched their chance to be the defenders of the Light slip away. Thirteen original swords had been forged for those who sat at King Arthur’s table. Now, only four remain; four new heroes would rise to find and wield them in the cause of the Light." James, Delta. Illusion: A Supernatural Fantasy Romance (Masters of Valor Book 1) (p. 5). Kindle Edition.
I would strongly recommend anyone reading the "Masters of Valor" series to read the 'Prophecy', which is the prequel and sets up this series along with introducing the four main male characters, Gabriel Watson, and Tristan Crawford, Bennet Greyson, Ford Montgomery. Plus the magical swords, Courechouse, Clarent, Arondight, and Caliburn. The "Masters of Valor" series is a spin-off of Ms. James' "Masters of the Savoy" series and if you've read that then you will already be familiar with Gabriel Watson and his wife and submissive, Anne. 'Illusion' is Tristan Crawford and Cyndi Goodson's story and it was everything I'd hoped it would be. You see, Tristan comes from a monied family and is considered the black sheep. He's a deep-sea treasure hunter, and after several considerable finds, he has even been offered his own broadcast series. Cyndi Goodson was the illegitimate daughter of a woman who refused anything more to do with her than she had to. That's why her relationship with her grandmother was so strong, not to mention the fact that both were fantastic pastry chefs. This is a fast-paced, action-filled storyline about a Dom and his sub, filled with adrenaline-inducing action like finding Clarent, the Sword of Blood Peace, that killed King Arthur, and encountering an evil dragon-shifter. Fate plays a heavy hand in this story and it's one not to be missed.

Goody is a renowned chef. She's worked hard to accomplish her goals so she never expects to pick up everything and move back to the small town where she grew up. Tristan is a treasure hunter with a huge secret. He and his group of friends are planning to move to Rackham's Roost to start their new security company.
This book has a LOT of parts so I'm not going to hit all of them but here's an idea of what you'll get. A cheating boyfriend sets a series of events into motion. Goody is a member of the BDSM community in New York and decides that she needs to continue once she arrives in Rackham's Roost. She is a wild success when she takes over her grandmother's bakery. Her mother is a terrible person. Tristan has a magical sword (not a euphemism). There are other paranormal elements to this story but I'm not telling you what. Tristan and his friends have been on a long quest to retrieve the swords (yup, paranormal stuff) and now they are prepared to open a few businesses in town. The bad guy is an over-the-top, mustache-twirling style bad guy. Honestly, I couldn't put this book down. I kept being surprised by how many different elements the author crammed into one simple story. Most surprising of all, it worked.
I couldn't give this story five stars because I don't think I'll be thinking about it months from now. It didn't give me a big emotional response. It is just enjoyable.
This is a contemporary story that takes place on a boat, in New York, in Rackham's Rooth, in a bakery, in a bed and breakfast, etc. You get the idea. If you don't like BDSM, this probably isn't the book for you even though it is only a small aspect of the story. If you don't like paranormal stories, then you probably won't like this book. The paranormal is woven into a large part of the story. I will definitely read more books from the author.

Tristan Crawford is one of the four comrades who found themselves in a cave trying to escape their enemies. A spectre appeared rising from the pool of water in the cavern with a sword called Courechouse and told them about the four magical swords Courechouse, Clarent, Caliburn, and Arondight. Tristan is the Master of the magical sword called Clarent, the Sword of Blood Peace, the sword that slew King Arthur. After leaving the Raiders, Tristan becomes a treasure hunter and eventually found Clarent in a shipwreck at the bottom of the ocean. Cynthia Goodson aka Goody works under a celebrity chef in New York. To overcome the betrayal of coming home to find her boyfriend with one of his co-workers in bed together, Goody, decides to seek comfort at BDSM club. She asks that she be blindfolded for the session. Tristan is her mystery Dom for the night and there is a deep connection between them. Unfortunately, Tristan get unexpectedly called away and Goody leaves the next morning so neither of them know who was their partner. Fate intervenes. The previous year, Goody moved back to Rackham’s Roost in North Carolina. Her grandmother left her the small town bakery that had been in her family for generations. Goody has successfully expanded the business but is still dreaming about her ‘mystery Dom’ Tristan is now back in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, close to Rackham’s Roost, having joined his four comrades in their business. They always said that they would come together and form Steel Knights Investigations after all the swords had been found. The perfect first case for Steel Knights Investigation is to probe into Faith Goodson’s, Goody’s grandmother’s, unexpected death. Another delightful book and the beginning of an amazing series by Delta James.
Riveting Read, great start to the series wonderful characters and plot This was a simply wonderful read however I do not want to give away anything that will spoil the plot for other readers so will be careful of what I divulge. Goody is a real estate developer and is persistent when he has an eye set on a purchase. However, Goody is no push over the bakery has been in the family for years and it has many sentimental attachments that money simply cannot buy although trying to explain this to retail developers can be like hitting your head up against a brick wall. Imagine Tristan’s surprise when he discovers that the woman, he had partnered with for the first time at the club whilst in New York, he had known instantly that the chemistry they share was something special and rare. When she had appeared almost on his door step, he had been more than a little surprised and even though he had not seen her without her mask he knew it was her. She is in hiding from a male that is a very old and very dangerous shifter and she knows that if he catches up with her, he would harm her. Tristan had met this evil before he knows that there is only one sword that can end the life of this dragon. Read this amazing story and discover for yourself, it is riveting and I guarantee you will read it in one sitting like me. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
This is the first book in another fascinating series by the author. I loved the treasure hunting scenes by Tristan they reminded me of the old action adventure movies from the 80's. Highly recommend!
Cyndi Goody Goodson won a competition show for amateur chefs and a full scholarship to the American Culinary Institute in NYC. She was working as head pastry chef and sous chef for a Michelin star restaurant. Her boyfriend cheated on her and she went to her BDSM club to deal with it. There she met a Dom she had a wonderful experience with but was blindfolded and doesn't know who he is. Her grandmother passed away back in her hometown of Rackham's Roost, NC and leaves her the family bakery. Her mother tries to convince her to sell to Draco Wyvern but Goody decides to keep the bakery and start a catering business called Goody's Goodies.
Tristan Crawford is a former Special Forces Marine, Dom and now treasure hunter. He lives on his boat, Raider's Revenge. He and his three teammates found magical swords after being visited by an apparition. He has had interactions with Draco, a dragon shifter. He was the Dom who helped Goody in NY but he was called away on urgent busines. He has been looking for her and finds her in NC where they reconcile. They end up having to fight Draco before they can get their HEA.

Fantastic start to a new series, Masters of Valor, a spin-off of the Masters of the Savoy series.
This is a fairly fast read with a storyline that sweeps you quickly into the discovery of a storied and powerful sword found at the bottom of the sea by a sexy treasure hunter. Equally as interesting is the storyline involving Goody’s family bakery and why a slimy businessman is trying to force the sale.
This book introduces several characters who will most likely be the main characters in subsequent books in this series. All of them are interesting, unique and mysterious enough to create some excitement about what will happen next in the series.
The return of Gabe and Anne Watson, formerly of the Savoy series, helps tie the two series together.
I enjoyed the near instantaneous connection between Tristan and Goody, because it helped spur the storyline along versus dragging it down with ‘will they or won’t they’ angst. Hello, this is a Delta James book, of course they will and do - lots! The steamy scenes are just that steamy and while BDSM plays a huge part in their relationship, Tristan doesn’t come across as a controlling jerk like some Doms sometimes do. Tristan is a sexy, swoony and romantic Dom - sigh, he’s one of Delta’s dreamiest of male characters in a while.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I thought the beginning of the book about Tristan's treasure hunting was interesting but the pace felt slower than expected. His intro to Goody was absolutely steamy.
One thing I really appreciated about this book was there was almost no relationship angst. What occurred between Tristan and Goody I wouldn't even refer to as angst. It was just what I needed, something to take me away from the world's current reality.
I really liked Tristan and Goody together. Goody could definitely hold her own with any of the Wayward Mates or Ladies of the Savoy. She was definitely no shrinking violet. I liked all the characters in this series. Even Goody's mom and Wyvern were appropriately villainous, lol.
I also liked the unexpected surprise regarding Wyvern. That little twist hit me at just about the same moment it was revealed. I knew he was a nasty little piece of work, but I thought that particular scene, as well as the one on the bought was pretty awesome.
If you start out reading this thinking its going to be a more tame version of the Savoy series, you would be mistaken. I am giving this book 4.5 stars just because it started out a little slowly to me, but I definitely recommend you give it a read.

Illusion is the first book (though there is a prequel, Prophecy.) in Delta James Masters of Valor series. If you read the prequel, it explains how 4 friends, Marine raiders, come across a ghostly legend who informs them that they’ll be the keepers of 4 magical swords, Courechouse, Clarent, Caliburn, and Arondight. All swords from The knights of the Round Table. Tristan is a treasure hunter, and one night in New York he met Goody. She went to a BDSM club after finding her fiancée in bed with another woman. She was blindfolded during her session with her mysterious Dom, and they synced immediately. But Tristan is called away, and Goody never finds out who her amazing Dom was. Months later, Goody receives bad news and has to move back to her hometown. While dealing with her ex, her mystery Dom shows back up to claim her. Tristan never forgot Goody and wants to make her his. But between her awful mother and an evil billionaire who is more than he appears, Tristan and the other men have their work cut out keeping the pastry chef and her friends safe. I really enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series! It is going to be Ben’s book, and Steel Knight Investigations will have their hands full. I am looking forward to reading the rest of her series as soon as I can afford them!
Treasure hunter Tristan, a former marine, is ably equipped to carry out an otherworldly quest to locate a magical sword said to have dated back to King Arthur’s day. It’s a thoroughly engrossing open as Delta James immediately plunges her newest hero into intrigue, action and danger. Tristan’s greatest adventure awaits, however, when he forms an instant connection with celebrity chef Cynthia “Goody” Goodson at a lifestyle club. He’s called away on an emergency before he learns her name, but is later reunited with his lady love in a small Outer Banks town where she has inherited her grandmother’s bakery. Goody has drawn the attention of Draco, a powerful, evil shifter who wants the bakery – and is determined to have it by any means necessary. Together, Tristan and Goody investigate her grandmother’s mysterious death and battle Draco. I love the start to the Masters of Valor series. It can be read as a standalone but also ties in nicely with the Masters of the Savoy series – we even get a visit from Gabe and Ann Watson! Romance, adventure, magic swords and shifters – it’s all wonderfully entertaining.

Oh wow what a great start to this new series as we follow the Masters of Valour, this spin off follows Gabe Watson’s former military team as they find the prophetic broadswords Courechouse, Clarent, Arondight and Clariburn, to become the Defenders of the Light… Goody’s life seems to be running like a dream, a rewarding job as a pastry chef, in a top New York restaurant, a beautiful apartment that she shares with her vanilla boyfriend who she loves but when she comes home early she finds her boyfriend sleeping with one of his workmate, Goody leaves him only to spend the best time connecting with an anonymous Dom in her local BDSM club. Tristan is an adventurer in the treasure hunting field looking for the missing broadsword “Clarent” and others like it that was prophesied when he and his team was on a mission spends time in a club with a mystery sub, who haunts him for months after that special night.. With all the best ingredients that bring this story together with a pinch of mystery and magic, a spoonful of adventure and heaped cups of heat then stirred altogether into a delicious twist that delightfully teases the senses….

Ms James never disappoints when she starts a new series. I loved this story. It has steamy romance, suspense, intrigue and it all equals fate. Goody and Tristan met at a club after Goody was betrayed. After a wonderful night together, but before names and phone numbers could be exchange, Tristan got called away. But it only took this one time for both know they were meant to be with each other - fate. However, finding each other was all but impossible...that is until FATE stepped in. Goody went back home after her grandmother died she decided to stay and operate the family business left to her. Unbeknownst to her, Tristan was moving to the same town where he and his close friends had decided to set up their business. But an old shifter dragon has other ideas for both the town and the holders of the swords. Suddenly both Goody and Tristan are thrust into the world of magic/shifters just as they found each other again. Hot, steamy and suspenseful intrigue. What more could a read ask for? It was a really good read. I can hardly wait for the next book in this series.

Goody’s going home. Her beloved grandmother died suddenly leaving the bakery to Goody. No one deserved it more but that doesn’t mean others don’t want it. Her mother is entitled and thinks only she should own the bakery. An oily scoundrel entrepreneur thinks he will buy it out from under Goody. Too bad for them the bakery isn’t for sale at any price. There’s one man that will do anything to help Goody and protect her. Her safety is all he wants, at least for now. Tristan is the Dom that had Goody once months ago and knew she was the only one for him. He and his friends were starting the next chapter in their lives which included a club for those with a taste for the dark side. He and his three friends are also the finders of the 4 swords that will defend against the worst creatures that would destroy the women they love. How does Delta do it?! Every series is better than the last!
The four swords have been found, this is Tristan and Clarent's story. Renowned treasure hunter Tristan Crawford finally finds his sword and is teaming up with the others when he meets a blindfolded Cynthia Goodson for one night of passion. No names or information are exchanged. He leaves before he can tell her what happened and now, she is all that he can think about.
When Goody loses her Grandmother, it is up to her to come to Rackham's Roost and claim her inheritance. The bakery has been in her family for generations. She will keep it that way. Now if this strange and pushy man would stop trying to bully her into selling. With the help of Ford, Ben, Gabe, and Tristan, they are reunited and this time, he is coming to claim her, he just has to protect her from the fierce dragon that is willing to kill to get what he wants. He has before.

Wow, this story gripped me from the beginning. Tristan is such a strong Alpha male who needs Goody after she walks in on her partner who just happens to be enjoying himself with another woman! Goody needs some relief and decides to play at her old club, Tristan just happens to be the Dom who steps up. They meet again some years later and that’s really where the story starts. It’s action filled, there’s dragons, passion (a lot of steamy passion), a magical sword and the supporting characters really do justice to the story. I disliked Goody’s domineering mother but even l felt a little pity with her demise! I was surprised at the reveal of the dragon shifter! Loved this story and was so pleased to see Gabe and Anne again. Great book.

This is the start of a new set and I’m seriously in love with these guys already. I love the idea and the concept of this series. I loved the syndicate books but I’ve got a sneaky feeling these will overtake them in my heart. I loved the relationship between Goody and Tristan, my favourite scene in the book is when the first properly meet, not in the club. That made me laugh and I read it a couple of times it was so good. Absolutely wasn’t expecting the thing with Anne and I hope it’s explained a bit more in future books. If anything I wish it was longer I enjoyed it that much. Can’t wait to read the next book.

This is the 1st book of the Masters of Valor series by Delta James and boy does this series start with a bang! This is Goody and Tristan's story. I would advise you read the prequel as it will give you the heads up on the characters although Delta does a wonderful job of weaving the story. She found her fiance in bed with another woman, she left and went to Midnight Caller where she asked to scene with whilst blindfolded! Her mystery Dom is none other then Tristan. This is where their adventure begins. So get ready for the roller coaster ride, one in which you most certainly enjoy. I can not wait for her next book.

Tristan is the keeper of a sword that will awaken when he needs it. Goody is coming out of a bad relationship ending and they meet at a BDSM club, never finding out who the other is. Shortly after, they both end up in North Carolina where he has The Refuge and she has her grandmothers bakery. The characters - all of them - are well developed with great backstories and intense emotions and feelings. The storyline has drama, danger, dragons, swords, prophecies, good guys, defiance, steam, trust, secrets and surprises. Totally addicted to this series and can not wait for the next book to come out as the other three Warriors of Light get their story.

This story is a page turner to be sure. I absolutely loved the story and the characters. Its the begining of a company four men have set up. Four swords, and we also see Gabe and Anne once more. A mystery to be solved Goodys Grandmother has died of a heart attack, but Goodi herself is not sure sh e suspects fowl play. Especially when a certain man is desperately trying to buy her bakery which was left to her in her grandmothers will. Then the one man she has been wanting steps back into her life. Love is on the cards hes her master.
Readers certainly wont want to miss this one. Honestly i couldnt get enough of it.
Goody meets Tristan at Midnight Caller, a lifestyle club in NYC, looking for a session as a submissive, and it turns into a once in a lifetime true love. Delta James can do no wrong, and this is one of her best. Tristan is a dream Dom, and Goody is a feisty and relatable heroine. Together their chemistry is on fire. The backdrop of Rackham's Roost in the Outer Banks in North Carolina is perfect for a treasure hunter and a legacy baker. The book is a fantastic read, and I cannot wait for the rest of the series. This is the first book Delta James new in the Masters of Valor series. When Goody Goodson catches her cheating boyfriend, she turns to her favorite club to find solace and relieve. But the fateful one night masked encounter with a mysterious stranger was all she had at the club. Tristan Crawford spent one night with Goody and immediately clicked he couldn't forget her. However fate got in their way. When tragedy strikes life takes un unexpected turn and Goody heads back to her hometown to deal with her past but exciting events unexpectedly unfold into a fascinating future. I can't wait for the next book in this exciting series.
I've read a lot of books written by Delta James; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the first book in the Masters of Valor Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Tristan & Goody; she has the local bakery and a real estate developer wants to buy it but she refuses to sell; it was her grandmother’s; He sees her at a club in New York but before he can talk to her he’s called away. He never knew she was the owner of the bakery next door to his property and finds out that the dangerous shifter is after her because of the property.

This is Book 1 of Masters of Valor. This book is the story of Goody and Tristan. Wow these two are going on an adventure that is for sure. I hated that Goody had to go through so much in her life to get to her mate Tristan but in the end he is her one and only true love. I love how brave and strong Goody is in the face of that bad dragon man. I loved her take no crud from anyone attitude. I can not wait for her next book.

I love all of this author's books, but this one is my favorite. Goody and Tristan had such chemistry between them and there was no playing games. They recognized from the beginning that the other was 'the one' and just went from there. There was no game playing, just honest attraction to each other. Add in the fact that there are magic swords and a destiny and this is just a hit!
This is the first in a new series and I can't wait for the next two. There is a short scene introducing us to the next story. I hope it comes out soon!
I received an advance copy and this is my honest review.
