Is it finally time to stop running?

Tibby Sinclair is the queen of messy beginnings. Raised for fourteen years in a religious cult before being tossed into the San Francisco Omega Academy, Tibby never had a chance. That didn't stop her though. She toughened up and became someone that would protect herself. Despite her sarcastic and take-no-shit attitude she refuses to let anyone in, not even those to who she is closest.

When the man who tormented her during her younger years is up for parole and the other key witnesses in his court case start to turn up dead, Tibby must finally face her past head-on.

Luckily for her, she won't be alone. The FBI agent who pulled her out of the cult ten years prior is back and he's bringing his loud pack along with him to finish the job he'd started ten years earlier: Protecting Tibby. They are joined by a young beta FBI agent, Jacob Collins who, despite his serious demeanor, Tibby quickly grows fond of. Will Theo and Pack Simmons be able to protect Tibby? Or will everything end in flames?

This is a reverse harem omegaverse tale featuring MM, FF, FFM, MMFFM etc. This book is an 18+ story and contains sexual situations not appropriate for anyone under the age of 18. While this book is a stand alone it is a part of an interconnected series. Book 1, Always Waiting, is on February 14th, 2022.

Guys, guys, guys… ouf. I decided to give this author another chance after the first book in this series left me feeling extremely frustrated and honestly, I had some hope during the first few chapters. The writing started off tighter, but the author soon fell into her old trappings and it got clunkier and more repetitive as it went on. It’s a no for me.

Wooof. This did not work for me. I really enjoyed the first few chapters and loved the premise but the execution fell completely flat. First of all, there were so many grammar and editing mistakes that is was distracting. The writing felt clunky, and we had way too many descriptions of things that didn’t matter and not enough of what did. Secondly, the pack dynamic felt so off. Everyone had their separate relationships and it just felt awkward. I felt zero chemistry between any of them. We were told more than shown that they were attracted to each other. Especially with Cobb, out of no where she was saying he was her rock?? Did that development happen off page? I was so confused. And don’t even get me started on her bond. Lastly, the ending felt so abrupt! All of a sudden it was the epilogue and I actually had to go back and make sure I didn’t skip anything

Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is book two in the SF Omegas series. What I liked about this book was the diverse pack that, surprisingly enough, also featured a woman. I don’t read FF, but after coming to understand Tibby’s personality I think it only made sense to have another woman in the harem. To that point, however, the pack felt very disjointed in this book. Rather than a pack where everyone is together, the Simmons pack felt like three different relationships that just so happen to share a living space. You have Aria and Matteo, Theo and Aria, Cobb and Theo, and Tibby plus pack. In many interactions it felt like they were FWB rather than pack. One of the characters even admits to feeling afraid of committing to his feelings about Tibby, recognizing that he is the primary reason the pack feels so awkward. This was at around 85% into the book. I read omegaverse partially for the pack dynamics, so this book left me wanting.

Equally as frustrating was Tibby’s personality. In short, she’s an eclectic girl who has a habit of talking to herself and being overly sarcastic. I can definitely understand why she has these habits and why this is her personality, but I personally don’t like FMC who are portrayed this way.

Lastly, there are times where the book makes virtually no sense. One scene that comes to mind is when Tibby reveals to her pack that she was just confronted by the man who has been trying to kill her over the last few weeks. Her packs response is literally “okay”. Like ??? I expected a lot more concern and urgency to save Tibby, but he pack was so nonchalant about it that I was stunned.

Overall this would be an enjoyable book for those interested in a sweeter take on omegaverse. And considering this is only the second book by this author, I look forward to reading their work when they’re more established.

Please note: I receive this ARC in exchange for an honest and fair review.

Firstly, I give 5 stars.

I really loved the book. Like the first book about Eloise's story, I dived right in and wished I never have to leave. The author has the great talent to write authentic and humanly characters. Tibby for example. She isn't perfect, of course. She has her fair share of terrible experiences. But she is still funny and sassy. But at the same, she cares deeply for the others. She is sweet and a feisty one all in ones. I liked her little oddities, and I could identify with her.

And not only her, but the other main characters as well. Not to forget the relationship dynamics between each of them. I'm always a fan of uniqueness. And that book was again fantastic. I have nothing to complain about.

It was an Omegaverse story to my taste. And I'm usually not a huge fan with FF content. I don't mind it, but I'm normally more interested in MM and of course the other sexy scenes between FM. But the FF here was greatly written, with the right mix of spice and kink. If I got more of that, I think I might like FF as much as MM.

It was just great. The whole package. It was exciting and kept my attention. The way the pack changes with Tibby, the tension and the world around them. It felt vivid to me. And I can't wait for the next one.

Definitely, I can recommend it and will probably read it again. The ARC wasn't perfect, of course. But luckily, I have KU.

Had to take an anxiety break 🤯 The FBI agents have just taken Tibby into witness protection. They're hiding her from a serial killer stalker who just broke into her apartment. It's outlined that killer is very skilled at hiding and stalking. But that's OK because they have time to stop and shop for a kitchen mixer on the way to hiding her FROM KILLER STALKER! Who is STALKING her! How to write a dumb FBI agents.

I've cannot finish this. Disjointed random pack details already. On top of the above, the author keeps doing that it's all mysterious why one of the intended pack mates hasn't been around for 10yrs. We get it "something" bad happened. Just say what it was! No need to draw it out. This seems like unnecessary drama in a story that already has suspense.

This book was so sweet. I love a good omegaverse as much as the next girl, but I have extra appreciation for sweet omegaverse books. This one has so much heart. Fun and fierce FMC gets her life upturned and three sexy alphas and a beta manage to put it back to rights, and then some. I absolutely adored being able to finally read a book with female alpha and a female omega! So not only did we get really great FM, and MM, content but also some FF that did my little Bi heart in. Plus the characters were just super hot. Fat red headed main character, and diverse hotties. Lovely spice with some kink for good measure. My second book read of this author and I will definitely be reading more! I’m so glad I got an ARC of this, but I’ll definitely be downloading it again on KU so I can reread. 4/5🤍 3🌶

Struggling to get into the characters stories

The first book hooked me, and i plunged head first into the second book.
The beginning was really good and the story about the mixer made me laugh...
And then it stop being interesting or making sense. The chemistry lacked between all of them. Trying to show a Mistress among the Alphas just fell flat, because saying Mistress over and over again doesn't make it sub/dom just makes is weird.
I kept reading and kept trying to get into the story, but this is a bunch of sideline stories among the characters that really are not cohesive, or create a pack.
It is half a bad serial killer story and one third of convoluted relationships, the rest is just blah.
Even the sexy scenes left me wondering what was that all about. Edging? Yeah, it was not done well at all. Threesome?, again lacking.
I will not recommend this book. It is so different from the first one, it just fekt rushed and not complete.

Tibby is a sarcastic, strong and sexy Omega who doesn't take anyone's shit. I love that she is a plus size FMC who loves her curves. She has overcome so much trauma in her life and came out stronger in the end. Her new pack is protective, yet gives her the space to flourish and grow.

Ok

I habe to confess that I decided to read this book because its blurb sounds like an episod of "Criminal Minds" 😂😂😅🙈

It was the first book I read of this standalone serie and I don't think I will read other. The storyline is ok, nothing crazy, and Tibby, the FMC, is a sweet girl, but a bit too naive and childish in my opinion. There are FF, MM, MMF, etc. in the harem. FF is definitely not my kink but it was ok in this book. I won't say that the guys are exceptional, charismatic, and unforgettable characters...

Well, this book is ok but nothing else. I like the FBI investigation style story but the characters weren't nothing new.

I just didn't feel any chemistry within this pack. It just felt like a bunch of people who happen to be good at sex and their jobs doing those things in the same space. Disappointed after how much I loved the first book.... The writing is still technically good, this story just fell flat for me.

I really wanted to like this book, I had been counting down the days for release, but unfortunately it ended up falling flat for me. A book of this size would usually take me 2 days max to read, this one took me 9 because I kept falling asleep while reading it.

I had assumed going into the story that it was an RH based on the title, but this book is frankly not an RH. It’s a poly romance. There are multiple separate relationships within the group and the book pays attention to these relationships exclusive of the FMC. Also, this book has another F in the group and while there is FF, she also has relationships with the M in the group exclusive of the FMC. I know this would be an issue for some RH readers and I wish I had paid better attention to the book description.

I felt like the relationship development was odd and disjointed, especially with Cobb. I didn’t think they really interacted much, but then suddenly she’s saying he’s been her constant and her rock over the last few weeks and she is in love with him. WHEN? I could only remember them have like one friendly conversation 😅 I think with so many relationship bubbles happening at once, it took time away from developing the relationships with the FMC (again, this wasn’t an RH).

I had a really hard time getting into this story. I think the premise of the plot was great, but in reality it was kinda boring and I struggled to get through it. A lot of time is spent on discussing relationships and feelings and it felt a bit repetitive after a while. I also didn’t feel like the FBI Agents and Lawyers actually knew what they were doing. I was especially shocked by how the villain was able to get them to walk right into his plan. I think it made for an interesting moment of conflict (albeit a brief one), but I was more surprised by the fact that he so easily got around them than by the fact that he was there.

I didn’t connect much with Tibby’s character, she’s supposed to come off as kinda quirky and eclectic I think? But they put a lot of emphasis on her ‘not being like other girls’ and how she can’t even make a nest (like… what). At one point toward the end of the book they say she’s ‘practically a frat guy’ which I did not get at all from her personality for the entire book leading up to that point and then suddenly after that point she’s like bantering with dudes around a pool table and it made zero sense.

Also, the whole book is leading up to a trial with sections announcing “4 weeks to trial, 3 weeks to trial” etc, but then the actual trial part is a 1 page summary before the epilogue so it felt extremely anti-climactic.

I’m giving this a 3 because the writing was decent and it was edited well with no typos, but I just generally didn’t connect to the book, the characters, or the plot sadly.

I thought this was a good Omegaverse with a fairly strong plot. The cult past, trial, and murder mystery were all pretty good.

There were some holes and inconsistencies that annoyed me a bit. For instance, Aria and Marcus specialize in corporate law, but a high profile criminal inquires about criminal defense, then they’re brought on as specialized consultants to help the prosecution because Aria was also once a state prosecutor. That’s a lot of specialties for one attorney. I mean… this is the State of California. Why wouldn’t they just bring in an experienced prosecutor from another city?

The original investigation had access to multiple witnesses and cult members, but never bothered to ask any of them to identify the people in their photographs or ask about the cult leader’s family during the original investigation. Multiple people were aware that the cult leader’s son had been taken away only a year before. While we’re at it, we never really find out what happened with Jamie between then and now.

The current FBI team seems really incompetent (not to mention corrupt). Like… what the heck happened at the lodge? I’m still confused about why/how that went so badly in so many ways.

Why was the Omega Academy lady at the hospital? The suspect had died only hours before and there’s still a potentially active threat and investigation. Why would she have heard anything about it or thought she had authority to grab Tabitha?

Anyway… still a solid showing. But it had some flaws.

I adore Tibby's fighting spirit. As a child, she went through horrific circumstances, but instead of wallowing in her trauma, she dealt with it head on. Her can do attitude and never ending positive thinking, along with therapy, got her through for several years. Then she's forced to face her past trauma again as it threatens to destroy everything, even as her very life is in danger. There is MM and FF in this book, so if that's not your thing, here is your warning, but I personally enjoy both. I enjoyed the bonus ending.

Review:
As a whole this book was okay. It mostly felt like smut with a little bit of plot, but the overarching storyline was pretty decent. The story is set in an Omegaverse world, without shifting.

Tibby, the FMC, was one of 5 survivors of a religious cult when she was 14. She survived our if pure luck, and in the 9 years after the massacre she's undergone a lot of therapy and work to accept her Omega identity.

9 years after the ordeal, the other 4 survivors are slowly getting killed off until Tibby is the only one still alive. At the same time, Tibby receives news that the cult leader is being put back on trial because of conflict of interest in the original trial. She moves in with the pack and the relationship blooms very quickly.

Many scary situations and heartfelt conversations later, the book ends in a Happily Ever After.

To me this book wasn't really anything special. It was an okay book, with a decent story, but the author didn't really go into any depth. Most of the story was very surface level stuff, where I never really built a connection with any of the characters.
Also, the ending wasn't all that great either. It felt like the author realized the book was getting pretty long and just wanted to sum it all up quickly. The entire plot resolution happened in like 2 chapters, it felt very "And they lived happily ever after, the end."

I probably won't be reading the rest of the series, as like I said, I wasn't a fan of the author's style. However I may read more books from the author if recommended.

This book wasn't my style, but that's not to say that it's a bad book. If you like this style book, you'll probably enjoy it a lot.

So I read this one right after the first book, but it's actually been a couple months; I'm just behind in posting. Anyway, I love Tibby! I love how she's not the ideal/perfect omega, but she does have some characteristics that line up with the stereotype, such as her obsession with cooking. This one ended up having a lot of chaos and drama because of Tibby's past, and I really hate that we didn't get to see the actual trial take place. The entire time, we are trying to find out who is behind the murders and getting ready for the trial, but then we don't get to see her overcome her fears and testify. We do get the conclusion of the trial at the end of the book, and it wasn't bad; I just wish we got to see her overcome the fear since she was so worried about it the whole book. As for the pack, I love that we have a female alpha! So many omega versus books are so male, and we need to get excellent female alpha or even FF content. Out of all of the omegaverses I've read this year, this is only the second one that had a main character, a female alpha. But outside of that, this pack had a lot of healing to do, and I loved how Tibby was kind of the glue. Plus, I love how she meets Matteo!

I really loved this book so much! If you haven’t read the first one you sure should! In the first one you get introduced to Tibby who is one of Eloise’s best friends from the omega academy. Calliope did an amazing job with Tibby’s story. I thought the characters were amazing and I loved the dynamic within the pack. The story flows really well together. This book got me hooked pretty early and I did not want to put the book down. The plot, characters, spice and drama were just enough to keep me on my toes.

Tibby came to Pack Simmons (Aria, Theo, Matteo) with FBI agent Jacob “Cobb” Collins to be protected as she was a key witness during a court case. I really loved how Tibby seemed to bring the pack together, and yes that includes Cobb. I love that this has a bit of an age gap romance to it and that to me just gives it spice. I love when Theo finally realizes that he loves Tibby, that is one of my favorite things in the book.

Overall, such a good read! I loved the plot and dynamic between the relationships and I really LOVE this book. The tension between some of these characters is so hot! It was such a good read, I would definitely recommend it and read it again.

Tibby Sinclair is not a typical Omega. She's messy and opinionated. She's also hiding a deadly secret. She was raised in an infamous cult and one of the only survivors. When the cult leader is granted a retrial and the other remaining survivors all turn up dead, the original FBI agent who rescued "Tabitha" is assigned to her case once again. This time, his pack is also involved in keeping her safe and preparing her for the retrial. Tibby soon finds herself a new family; now if only they can keep her alive.

I liked this second San Francisco Omega book better than the first. I loved the whole cult background, the retrial, and the murder mystery. I liked the broken dynamics of the pack for the characters but not the relationships. The relationships never felt solid. They lacked a cohesive connection. It was more poly than RH since the pack never felt like one. And, I wasn't a fan of a female Alpha. Purely, a personal preference. I do not like the Omega having to compete with another female within the pack. I'm jealous that way.

A lovely follow-up to Always Waiting. Tibby aka Tabitha user to be in a religious cult until she’s rescued by an FBI agent Theo. She has been at the San Francisco Omega Center for like 11 years. When something awful from her past comes back to haunt and kill her, she’s once again “rescued” by Theo (the much older ex-FBI agent who now works tech and private security for his NOW PACK! Yep in the time away from little Tibby he packed up. When the omega society is infiltrated and Tibby’s life in danger, Theo and his pack take Tibby in until the trial of her former cult leader who is up for re-trial. And…yup the Pack becomes enamored of her, but Theo stubbornly holds back. The iscanbexcitingvsndcsweetvfoklow-up to Eloise’s story, and even incorporates Eloise has pack, and Madeline. I highly recommend it. I thought it could’ve used a much better ending and epilogue because it seemed to be tied up too quickly & predictably however it’s still a great book.

Omegaverse is one of my favorite tropes, especially a sweet omegaverse! Always Running is book two of The San Francisco Omegas series of standalones. We met Tibby in Always Waiting as she is Eloise’s best friend from the Omega Center.

We got a little bit of a tease of Tibby’s story in book one and I could not wait to read it! Tibby is the key witness to a trial and is taken into Pack Simmons home for FBI protection. I love the relationships between the pack members and Tibby and how they all protect and love her…even if it takes some of them a while to act on it. Tibby is funny, sassy and fits in perfectly with the pack.

This book has angst, heartbreak, action, revenge, mystery and so much spice! I loved Eloise’s story but love Tibby’s even more! Thank you Calliope for the pleasure of reading this arc! I can’t wait for book three!

Love this series and can't wait for more. This was a new to me author when I read the first book in the series and I sucked that book down in a few hours. I was so excited to read Always Running, because Always Waiting, the first book, while not a cliff hanger, set up for the this book perfectly. Tibby's history caught up to her, and due to no fault of her own, she was sucked back in. Her pack, while not there when the first incident happened but quickly came to be, stepped right up ensure it did not swallow her and kept her safe. Be aware, you may find triggers of past violence and some F/f action but I still very much consider this to be on the sweeter side of the Omegaverse world. Can't wait for the next in the series and as always, the pack at their HEA!!! I did receive this book as part of an ARC.

I was really excited to read Always Running and Tibby's story did not disappoint. I was invested in this book from page one. Tibby may be an omega but her life has been anything but normal. I love that despite the difficulties or her upbring she is stong, fierce, and sarcastic. This book is MMFFM and while FF is not my normal goto I really enjoyed Tibbys relationship with her female alpha Aria. I also loved the dynamic within this pack and how close Theo, Aria, and Matteo were. There is plenty of drama, knotting, and growling alphas to satisfy any omegaverse lover. I also highly recommend reading the first book in this series, Always Waiting, if you haven't as there is some character cross over between the two books.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I absolutely loved this book. It is an amazing omegaverse. I just love how the character develops. I also love that the FMC has a good sense of humor. There is angst, there is love, their is humor, there are heats, slick, knots, alphas, and just all the great OMV world. This book has MM, FF, and an age gap. I enjoyed this book more than the first, the story just really spoke to me. And a bonus is that it is a thick book and is not that kind where you feel it is filled with just filler info, it all went so well. It does have components form book 1 so make sure you read that one even though they are technically standalones (so no cliffhanger)!

Gripping Story with All the Omegaverse Trimmings!
I won’t lie. I’m obsessed with Omegaverse books right now. And this book definitely had all the things I love about Omegaverse stories but it also had so much more!! The storyline really kept me on my toes and I loved all the characters. Libby was a vulnerable badass and the pack members were so amazing and supportive from the start. Loved how the relationships between her and the pack and others developed at their own speed. I also really enjoyed how the author let us keep in touch with the characters from Always Waiting. Can’t wait to read more from Calliope!!

We meet Tibby in book 1 and I had no idea her story would be so dark!
She's spent so long rebuilding herself after the trauma of her upbringing, but the past never wants to stay there and Tibby's comes back to haunt her in the worst way.
Placed with her rescuers pack for safety, Tibby might have found more than she bargained for ... especially when she finally meets her pumpkin spice heat helper, but she's not the only one running from her problems. Can this pack come together to protect Tibby and heal old wounds.
It's a wonderfully complex story with mystery, suspense, shocking revelations and plenty of spice!!!
I loved this story and cannot wait for more from this author!

I believe this is one of my favourite omegaverse books of all time.
First off, without spoilers, the plot is very interesting and something a little bit different from the average omegaverse book.
Secondly, I loved the fact that this book actually had a female alpha, I wish I saw this more in other books because I believe it is a very interesting idea to explore and could lead to some cool plot points.
Thirdly, the fact that were was F/F romance within the books, as a lesbian, it is nice to see F/F romance in a genre that it normally isn't in! I hope this author continues to have F/F romances in their books.

I’m in love with this series! When it comes to the San Francisco Omegas, I can’t help but finish their books in 24 hours 😅

I think what I’m really enjoying about this series is the fact that there’s an equal amount of both spice and plot. It’s feeling very reminiscent to Lola and the Millionaires (my favorite omegaverse duet by Kathryn Moon) where you have the angsty plot but then GREAT spice. This series is not nearly as spicy as Lola’s books, but the amount of spice makes sense for these books.

If you’re in the mood for some omegaverse reads I HIGHLY recommend this one.

Cant wait for book 3‼️

Can’t believe it but I like this better than the first book. This book focuses on Eloise’s roommate Tibby but we do get to catch up with all of our favorites from book one as well. Always Running has cults, serial killers, and omega academy drama that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire novel. Not only that but there are three alphas and a beta to give some amazingly sweet and then super spicy moments. Some of the pack is already established beforehand but I never felt like Tibby was just tagging along, instead she filled in the cracks and helped all of her pack mates to grow into better people. I fully enjoyed this book and look forward to seeing what is going to come along next in this series.

I love Tibby’s story! She is outspoken and hilarious, even while dealing with the trauma of her childhood. Pack Simmons is perfect for her, and I loved the way they were each able to connect with her, as well as relating to her anxieties and PTSD reactions. They were so caring and protective, even when dealing with their personal issues.

Most of the angst and drama in this book comes from outside the pack, from a murder mystery connected to Tibby’s past. The spice and the action keep the story moving along nicely and kept me up way too late to finish the book!

I’m my opinion, this is definitely a step up from the first book. It’s definitely better, although still not amazing.

The pack is so disjointed and stilted, and it’s a little annoying that Tibby is what brings them together but not in any way that matters. She’s just there.
They don’t feel cohesive for almost all of the book, and it’s annoying.

I did really like Aria & Tibby, and I think that omegaverse books really benefit from FF. It’s honestly a little annoying having so many of these books with MM but rarely ever FF, and so I really enjoyed that aspect.
