Witches and Whiskers - a review by Rosemary Kenny
An excellent anthology of magic and mystical shenanigans from an amazing array of well known authors that supports a deserving animal charity...what's not to like?
One of my favourites is Secret Royalty by the illustrious Suzanne Jenkins:
Eden Brielle is a teenaged witch who was adopted when her witch Mom was forced to give her up, by her human birth father. She's surprised to receive a letter, via a lawyer, saying he believes she's his daughter, but wants a DNA test and magical assessment of her abilities to confirm her ID.
Next, Eden gets a personal invitation to join a night school to enable her to develop them properly.
What's revealed by the pre-school tests?
Where has her Mom been until now?
What's Eden's grandfather's legacy to her?
A moving rites-of-passage story, that has flavours of Harry Potter's early years and Cinderella with a modern twist mixed together in a magical mix of delight, by Queen of Romantic Suspense, Suzanne Jenkins.
