One night. That’s all Milano wanted. One night with no strings attached so she’d be able to forget the problems causing her so much turmoil. Unable to deny herself the spine tingling, toe curling pleasure he could provide, she finds herself wanting more. Craving it like her next breath. And that’s when things get complicated…
Zerek ruins Milano's Valentine's Day and things take a turn for the worst, well, for him at least. Harvey is Milano's knight in shining armor, but she's not sure if that's what she wants. What was supposed to be a sneaky link turned into something much more.
Milano is spunky and feisty. A girl that appears to be just trying to figure it out. Irritating at times, but my heart went out to her. Harvey is the strong silent type that drops off long D as required. This read was toxic and messy and I loved every page of it.
This book was so good but so painful to read. Milano was flawed but only because she didn’t seem to realize she deserved all the love and happiness from her person instead of settling for scraps no matter how expensive those scraps were. When she finally realized she deserved better and accepted the love Harvey had to give I was so pleased. Milano was very relatable as sometimes as women we don’t realize that we deserve and can have better and settle on what is given to us instead. I’m happy that Harvey didn’t completely walk away from her when she was pushing him away and instead showed her bits and pieces of what she could have when she didn’t only accept scraps of love.
3.5 ⭐️s I enjoy the author’s writing style but this fell flat for me. I had a hard time connecting to Milano. I found her childish and one dimensional. Her feelings for Harvey don’t seem fully genuine and rather more out of convenience and his proximity to her. Because of this I didn’t enjoy their interactions or root for them as a couple. Harvey was a breath of fresh air. He’s patient, kind, respectful, and has a good head on his shoulders. I would have liked to see more detailed descriptions of the characters and their surroundings. With that being said I’ll be checking out more of Ashley’s work!
This story wasn’t terrible, I just didn’t feel a strong connection between Milano and Harvey. Harvey sends like a good dude who didn’t deserve Milano’s hot and cold reception throughout the book. In fact, she was a damn fool to be sitting back waiting on Zerck for two years!!! Shiiiiiittt! Too much time was spent with them in limbo, with Milano hoping and weighing in the impossible.
First I would like to say this was a good read…second? Milano needed that beat down! 😂. She was not a likeable character however she was realistic for was we see today. I understood some of her behavior bc of her parents but still, nah! Now Harvey (swooning) idk what he saw in her but he was that guy! Patient and kind and just yes! Lol
This was such a good story. I’m so glad that I’m the end Milano finally knew her worth. Instead of wasting any more time on a selfish man she decided to give Harvey a chance. Harvey was beyond patient with Milano.
The story was fabulous, annoying, and a nice romantic episode. I especially liked the way the author ended this edition with a believable and enjoyable experience, given the situation.
Before I say anything else… HARVEY IS THAT MAN! 🥰❤️
Milano had me HOT in many ways, but baby did the growth come through. She made me proud. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing Harvey was/is! Whew, I need me a HIM! 🤤🥰
Really easy, quick, feel good romance read. They worked through their issues and in the end were able to come together! I enjoyed reading this and their growth throughout the story.

This seems like a contemporary fictional romance where there’s a lot of focus on the characters and their inner thoughts and feelings. The plot didn’t seem to be the real focus and I liked that. Harvey and Milano were definitely an odd couple. Harvey got all his shit together and is self aware and Milano is not. This is real though because sometimes love finds us because people make us see ourselves and how can you not fall in love with someone who shakes your whole life up and makes you see that you haven’t been living.
