USA Today Bestselling author Melissa Belle writes about smart, sassy women and the hot, sexy men who want them. She spent years in the field of psychology before writing her first novel on the train in Europe. She often works through her story ideas while hiking with her husband or hanging out with her two kitties. She loves road trips and songwriting. And cupcakes.
Hunter Storm is a hockey player in New Orleans who hires a pet sitter. It turns out his pet sitter is an old friend he knew and cared about 10 years ago, Winter Allen. Each of them had their dreams which they have accomplished. Winter wanted to act on Broadway and Hunter chased a career in hockey. Winter only plans on being here short-term, and Hunter doesn’t want a relationship. But will they both be what each other needs? Do they each recognize the loneliness in the other? Bring on the emotions!
I thought this book was sweet to read. I really liked both Hunter and Winter as they were both such likeable characters. They have always liked each other but were so focused on their own ambition and goals, so perhaps this was fate giving them a second chance. Hunter and Winter had such a sizzling chemistry together, and I thought they just gelled so well together. I loved how supportive they were of each other, though to be honest, almost wished they were a bit more selfish. I enjoyed this novel and thought it was entertaining.

I was emotionally swept away with this story. The pain and loss that Hunter lived with daily and for Winter her loss of personal power stripped from her by another. The writing is done so beautifully that I could feel their pain and joy as they healed each other through their friendship, that was ready to evolve into so much more. The characters and story is so easy to fall into and find yourself right at home with your friends joking around the table. Very well written.

This is the first book of the Storm Brothers series. It is a story about teenage friends who let each other go so they could go live their dreams. They never thought they would see each other again. Now Winter is back in town and it is like the years melted away, but they both have some things keeping them guarded. This is Hunter and Winter's story.
Hunter and his three brothers are all professional hockey players. They are living out the dream created for them by their late father. He tragically passed with no resolution to his murder and Hunter and his brothers have lived with this their entire adult lives. He is afraid to love, fall in love, be in a relationship or even be alone in his house. Now that his older brother moved out, he is looking for someone to stay at his house to watch after his cat while he is on the road.
Winter has made it to Broadway. She is still chasing her dream role, but an incident she can't get past is ruining all of her chances at her big break. Now she is back home hoping to heal and be able to get back to her life and pursuing the dream she has always wanted. But now that she is home, has her dream changed?
These two people are absolutely meant for each other. They have a passion that can't be contained and a respect and love for each other that they know is forever. They just can't admit it due to their fears. We get to enjoy their journey and explore their relationship as adults. They are caring and compassionate with each other. They are so steamy together. The story is great, the secondary characters are just enough and there is a little angst and lots of love sprinkled in to round out this well told story. This is a standalone story, with no cliffhanger and a HEA. I really enjoyed this. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is book one in The Storm Brother's Series and it is Hunter and Winter's story and it is definitely a must read. Hunter is a hockey player in New Orleans and he doesn't do relationships or commitments. Winter always wanted to be a actress on Broadway and her dreams came true but at a price. Hunter and Winter have history but both decided to focus on there careers but now ten year's later they meet again when Hunter needs a pet sitter and it is Winter that shows up at his door. Hunter and Winter have both gone through so much and are both broken people needing to heal but can they do that together even though there agreement is only temporary before Winter goes back to her career or will this given them a second chance. The chemistry between Hunter and Winter is so strong and intense and I love how there friendship helps them support each other through there difficult times and I found myself hoping that they could some how overcome all the pain that they have both been through and hopefully help heal each other in the process as they are so perfect for each other and deserve a happy ending. This is the first time that I have read a book by Melissa Belle but definitely not the last as it was so well written and definitely worth reading.

This is a new series by the author and I loved her previous books so I could not wait to start this new series.
It stars Hunter Storm, a hockey player in New Orleans who plays with his brother, Liam who is married and has a baby with his high school sweetheart. Liam is the last book in the series. In this story Hunter hires a roomie and pet sitter who is his ex sorta from 10 years before, Winter. Winter was the rich girl with dreams of acting on Broadway while Hunter dreamed of a career in hockey. Both have achieved their dreams but its a lonely life and when they meet again they are just what each other needsm but Winter is only planning on sticking around 6 months and Hunter doesn't do serious.
This was an awesome story and I absolutely adored every minute of it. It easily stands alone but I cannot wait to read more in this series. I really adore the authors reading style and her heroes. In this story Winter was attacked and shall we say is not dealing well with it. But Hunter really cares about her and is just what she needs.

Fate has it's way of bringing a second chance ... but will they be bold enough to take it
Hunter is the first book in the new Storm Brothers series. I have read a couple books in the Boston Boys series by this author so I was interested to start a new series. This story introduces the reader to the Storm brothers and centers on Hunter Storm and Winter. They were friends when they were younger but never crossed the line into romance, even though they both really loved each other. It is now ten years later and their paths cross once again. Winter has returned home from NYC where she had pursued her dreams of being on Broadway. Hunter become a professional hockey player in New Orleans. When Hunter needs a house/pet sitter it ends up being Winter that he hires. Well it seems that fate is giving these two a second chance to admit their feelings and make their own HEA. I enjoyed this book and will definitely pick up the rest to find out what happens with the other Storm Brothers.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Hunter and Winter were always there for each other when they were kids. Through all good and bad. They werent a couple but deep down they both always loved each other. Forward 10 years and Winter is back. Shes home for a break from her career on broadway and has signed up to house/pet sit. When she walks up to the door and as it opens shes shocked to see Hunter. Hunter hasnt seen her for 10 years and hes in awe of this woman. Even though they bicker and all hes never forgot her and never will. She was there for him when he need her most in life and shes now standing on his door step. This book will take you through their past and their present. Amazing characters and amazing story line. I laughed, I teared up and I felt every emotion. Can not wait for Maxs book. WOW

Last night I finished this book and thought about it for quite some time. Why? There are many frailties in all of us and viewing the death of a parent is something no one wants in their life. How something like losing a parent, a partner or child, changes our lives often goes un-noticed. How we handle the emotions of great loss, is the way of life. The writing in this book delves into the why's and what-ifs in life, especially when bad situations occur in teenage years. I admire this author for keeping the brothers close; I love how she writes about the importance of friends and hugs; and I'm encouraged to keep reading this series. There are many sensual scenes which can be appreciated by adults. However, my focus was on four boys growing into powerful men and remaining a tight family no matter what.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Winter Princess Allen & Hunter Storm. Winter and Hunter were best friends before each of them went off to follow their dreams. Winter wanted to be a Broadway actress and was doing great until an incident has had her closing up anytime she auditions. Hunter wanted to go pro in the NHL. He has since done that is now in the expansion team in their hometown of New Orleans. The thing is Winter had no plans of coming back but when the incident happened her agent sent her there to get her head on straight. Now being back and back around one another will it be a HEA or a summer fling?
Amazing story I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Ms. Belle has written a book that captivated me from beginning to end filled with heat, passion, hockey and love and it's also a book that I will be reading again and again because I can never have too much of this world that she's created!! Hunter is everything you'd expect from Melissa Belle book. It's a witty, hot and hilarious sports romance that will have you smiling throughout. Just loved it. Bring on the next book please. Happy reading everyone
Hunter and Winter were friends when they were younger but when they meet again, it seems like each is the answer to the other’s problem. I loved the characters and enjoyed how much they changed and grew as their relationship develops. Great second chance romance with characters that at first seemed superficial but as you get to know them they have amazing depth. Nice HEA. Enjoyed the authors style and character development.
This is a very good second chance Romance. The main characters knew each other previously then went their separate ways to pursue their careers. Ten years later they reconnect in an unusual way but both have experience loss and hardships. I main characters are likeable and relatable and have great chemistry. The book is an easy read, entertaining, and engaging. I liked it.

The chemistry between Hunter and Winter is gorgeous, the way that love can heal the battle scars of all types, I still believe in this and this book proves it. Wonderfully written even with all the initial snob of a mother she turned out a little better than the last book that was a super uppity high class southern mom. Great through in for the next book, definitely a hook to read about the brothers.
This book the author out did themselves on. It had it all, best friends to lovers, leaving home to go after your dreams and chase having to return home to find out everything you need was right there all the time. Spoiled little rich girl who falls for the bad boy who has slot of sad luggage in his background that he has to work through but she right there for him after 10 years apart. Same goes for him, anything she needs.
This story started off slow for me but got better and better the further in I got. Hunter is such a great guy and so good for Winter. I also loved all their family and friends and getting to see Declan Wild.
Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read! Extremely entertaining, captivating, and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.
This was my first read from this author. It was a good sports romance. Hunter was a great hero and I really enjoyed reading this book. It will not be the last from this author.

The author needs a better editor to tell her when to focus more on one topic or not. Also someone with no writing experience writing a musical book and accompanying music for a broadway musical in like a month? No.
Absolutely brilliant book couldn't put it down superb well written and a great cast of characters and story line absolutely loved it I can't wait to read more about the brothers
Winter was doing great in NY musical theatre until she had a bad incident. Now her throat tightens and she has been sent home to NOLA to recover. She takes a live-in pet sitting job … whoops, pet owner is male (Hunter, expert Ice Hockey) she grew up with and secretly loves. The sizzling passion might lead to happily ever after… A steamy standalone that kicks off a series starring Ice Hockey pros - the Storm brothers. There is lots of sex, it was easy to skim.
