Ever since Harmony "Harm" Makos became a Greek war goddess, it's been all work, work work. With St. Patrick's Day looming, Harm convinces her war god husband, Ares, to let loose and have some fun at a nearby pub. It isn't until the god of wine and frenzy, Dionysus, shows up, claiming the couple has no idea how to really party, that the festivities take a Celtic turn.
An adult romance writer who has been writing since she could pick up a pencil. After the insanity of obtaining a bachelor’s and master’s degree in cybersecurity, creating worlds to escape to still ate at her very soul. She started writing FanFiction (which can still be found if you scour the internet 😉 ), and soon felt the need to get her original ideas on paper. And so the adventure began.
She lives in Colorado with her husband and two fur babies, and revels in an enemies to lovers trope with a slow burn.
This was not what I envisioned for this book…at all. And I’m so glad this author did not do what was expected. Instead, Ares and Harmony have a most unusual night celebrating the Irish holiday with Ares’ brother. Dion added so much humor and lightheartedness to the story, I couldn’t help but chuckle out loud. When the druid popped up, I was giddy with delight. I know that druid and loved seeing him again!
I’ve loved all of the holiday novellas in the Mythos series. Each one has held fast to the true feel of the original book and the couple that inspired it. Having an additional look at my favorite couples has been wonderful. Their release at each holiday makes for a nice treat. I’m raising my glass (not filled with green beer!) in cheers of the potential that we’ve been given with new characters. I can’t wait for more!!!

A Contemporary Mythos St. Patrick’s follows Ares and his wife as they celebrate St. Patrick’s day. After running into Dionysus and a group of Celtic beings their night becomes crazier than either had planned.
With each book I read of this series I kick myself for not reading the novels yet. This world is supposed to take place within the universe of Spade’s works. She ties modern times with Greek mythology to create a new adventure for adults.
This was an okay story a little disappointing as the story surrounds one of my favorite pairings.
I liked the idea of meeting gods from other pantheons we have heard of Thor and Jack Frost. But I couldn't connect with any of them much. Maybe if I read their book but as of now I have not.
Love Ares and Harmony and Dino!
My favorite part was him trying and failing at thinking of something cool to text Chelsea back, while everyone else was fighting for their life against a fire spirit, he could beet instantly. Also when he jumped on a stump because he was scared of snakes.
The god of wine don't mess with snakes.

I honestly don't know why I read this. The ad made it seem like it was some hilarious romp of ancient gods, but it was just a badly told short involving random god/not gods drinking and having to fight off a random monster of legend for no apparent reason. Complete with weird American attitudes about St Patrick's day and a nice bit of misogyny and body shaming, too. Blurgh. No. Definitely not for me.
Needing a fun holiday Novella? Look no further! Spice? Check! Celebration? Check? Battling a Celtic monster? Also check. I think my favorite part of all was seeing our lovesick Dino pining away over Chelsea. I hope we get to see more of their story in future books!! Readability: Easy and Fast Paced Spice: 🌶
I was confused at first with the other mythical beings but I absolutely loved that Harm and Ares got to fight a mythical creature. I know as Gods of war they don't necessarily get to Fight with their true power so it made me happy to see that they wound up fighting even if it wasn't what they expected. Plus now I want to read the Other book by Carly Spade about these new characters.
This one had some adventure so I was glad for that and a steamy scene at the beginning. It was decent. Although the new Celtic characters were a little hard to follow. Couldn’t remember who was who and the dialogue kept throwing me off.
