This was a good comprehensive review of basic estate planning processes to think a out when putting together your estate plan. The writing is clear and understandable. As a financial advisor, it was helpful in teaching me what areas of estate planning to pay closer attention to when working with clients.

If anything else, this guide does a great job in pressing importance of estate planning rot the readers mind. It also reviews what to look for in an estate attorney to complete, and review, your estate plan.

Great coverage of a topic no one wants to think about. Approachable, practical, and makes it clear what you need to know before you get help from a professional. I especially enjoyed the discussion of things that are not automatically picked up in a will or trust (for example, IRAs) and leaves money on the table. Tax considerations also very helpful. I learned a lot, even though I had trusts and estates in law school (admittedly ages ago).

A good web site with a little reading is as good as this book. In fairness it did have some good tips but wading though all the anecdotes was tiresome.

Good starting point

Simple explanations and examples with thoughtful suggestions. Needs to be updated to cover new laws. I recommend it as a starting point.
