When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with friends either at home or out on the town. Mostly, I enjoy a relaxing night at home where I can enjoy a glass of wine in the company of a good book.
Out of everything, she enjoys driving in her little convertible with the top down.

Second in a four-part suspense-filled story with romance, good guys, bad guys and a cliffhanger
This is a sequel to “Fire” the first book in the Sinful Desires series with Kenzi Horton and Axe Riley playing the main H and h characters. Along the way they meet and get entangled with many others. Interestingly we get many points-of-view throughout these books, not just that of Kenzi and Axe.
After River Stevenson found Kenzi by the riverbank, he took her back to his log cabin. He’s very charismatic and older but none of that matters to Kenzi once she finds out what Axe did. The writer has done a good job making Kenzi a cheater but still understandably so. She’s been told half-truths and total untruths for her to turn her back on Axe. I do have a little problem with the ease with which Kenzi does that. Here’s a young woman who is beginning her career at a prominent law firm who falls for all the malarkey shoveled her way. I expected better of that character as she had been originally portrayed in “Fire.” Anyway, will Axe and Kenzi find their way back to each other? On to “Ignite” to see if that book can shed some light on what her next steps will be! I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens.

I seriously want to shake Kenzi, she’s been found and kidnapped by River Stevenson, Axe is looking for her to rescue his woman and Van, Niles and Levi are trying to find her and River but definitely not to help her. What is Kenzi doing? She falling for her captor!!!! I swear she has Stockholm syndrome.
Her new job is in Chicago and instead of going with Axe she and River make a go of life together until she finds something out about him and runs ….. now she’s alone and hiding from everyone
I don’t know how this is going to work out for her but she has to reconcile with Axe …doesn’t she?

After Ae breaks Kenzi's heart with all his lies, she goes to Chicago with her new protector River, with whom she begins a relationship.
Everything seems to be going well for her, but little by little, she discovers that no one has been honest with her.
It only remains to be seen what River's reaction will be when she realizes that he has once again lost the love of his life.
In the third book we will see River and Axe fight for Kenzi? Which one will she stay with? Or she won't get any? Can’t wait.

This is book 2 in Long's Sinful Desire series and Axe and Kenzie's story continues - but oh Kenzie...I'm so disappointed, but I know Long is dragging out this journey for me. Oh what a love triangle we have now and again left needing more answers! Well written and a great addition to this addictive series. Steamy and exciting I couldn't put this book down and am eagerly awaiting more!

Burned is book #2 of the Sinful Desires series. It’s a continuation of Fire. I didn’t like Kenzi in this series addition. She’s just being too naive. My sympathy is with Axe. He just keeps getting screwed over. There are so many twists and so much drama and suspense. After the big surprise near the end of the cliffhanger, I cannot wait to read Ignite. *this was a complimentary copy and this is my honest review*

Axe and Kenzie's story continues and I could really throttle Kenzie at times in this one. She has frustrated me to no end in Burned! This story has me all tied up in knots and I can't wait to see how all of this plays out. It's another well written addition to their story and it's going to be interesting to see who wins out between Axe and River. I'm team Axe all the way!

I received this book for free for an honest review. I knew River couldn't be trusted!!! I just knew it. He's shady AF. I did find this book also dragged a bit in the middle, mostly around the River points. I hate that Kenzi and Axe aren't together. But outside the very little bit of drag it's a solid read.

Great read, but I'm struggling with my feelings for my review. Kenzi has disappointed me in this story. I'm rooting for Axe and she just isn't making good decisions. I'm hoping the lies become truth and Kenzi sees the decisions she's made weren't based on truth.
A. L. you got me so wrapped up in the saga and can't wait for what happens next. You got the intrigue going and the passion between characters but again I'm disappointed in Kenzi, I hope she can redeem herself. Must read Fire first to understand Burned, since it's a series.

Kenzi settles into her life with the controlling River, and leaves Axe behind. Soon secrets start to unravel and she again feels betrayed. More twists and turns in this drama-filled, suspenseful book.

In true form, Long gives us interesting character builds and plot!
I was engaged the entire time, and though the characters didn't do what I expected, the picture of them leaves me needing to know more!
I'm a bit disappointed with Kenzi, and I need more fight from Axe!
So curious to see where Long takes them!
