Kristin is an alpha, if I ever seen one. She’s a fierce lawyer that doesn’t let anyone think she has an ounce of weakness. Jaxson is a financial entrepreneur that enjoys the high of making money in the stock market. They are friends but behind everything Jaxson has always wanted more. Jaxson’s brother gets engaged and throws an engagement party in Mexico, Kristin is invited since they are in the same circle of friends and after a very drunken karaoke, Kristin and Jaxson cross the friendship line and OH MY GOODNESS, what a dirty mouth this sunshine of a man has 🤤
Their story is short and sweet but also spicy with a little bit of drama. Overall was a good book but I wish it could have been longer 😅 I wanted more Jaxson 🤣❤️

I love how true this title is to this story - intuition. We as human beings are emotional creatures and intuition plays a huge part in our interaction with others. Just like how it does between Jaxson and Kristin. Add this chemistry to the suspense of the plot and wow this was such a fantastic story that really hooks you. TBH though I can’t choose between Callahan and Jaxson and would have enjoyed a little ménage à trois between them 😂

My Rate: ⭐⭐⭐ 3/5
This book had some of my favorite themes: female badass lawyer, who is a billionaire, and speaks her mind, she is just powerful all the way. Also, a cute hero, who wants a relationship and someone to cuddle with. And a background plot that keeps you interested. Now, there were a few things that bothered me.
The chapters were too small, it felt rushed or unfinished at times. Also, the background plot could use more development, it felt kinda hollow at some moments and the resolution of the problem just made me disappointed and angry. Also, the whole Cara thing felt rushed and too serious to be used without the necessary development.
Equality rate: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
This gets a good Equality rate because it gives us a powerful woman, in a male-dominated field, fighting her way up, tooth and nail. She is also a b*llbuster, she fights, she banters and she can be “one of the guys”, which is sometimes necessary to survive in a field like hers. All of this made me really happy.
However, I didn’t like the bar scene where she slut-shames the waitress. I get that she was jealous, but I don’t like the author’s choice, of condoning rivalry between women over a man.
I don’t love when the first steamy scene is penetrative sex. Also, he put his fingers somewhere he did not ask for consent. No communication about preferences. And last but not least, too little too fast in the first steamy scene.
Overall, really enjoyed it, and will probably read the rest of the series.
Adjectives and general thoughts: This book had everything to be perfect, a badass woman, who is just amazing in all the ways, a cute hero, and a nice background plot. There were just some things missing or needing development.

We met them both in the first book, and waited patiently for their story! Jaxson is a financial entrepreneur that enjoys the high of making money in the stock market, but he is the sweetest alpha male with his lovely smile that gets all the ladies attention of the ladies. I loved Kristin! She’s a fierce lawyer that doesn’t let anyone think she has an ounce of weakness. She is smart, loyal and a great boss and she has a ruthless attitude and ability to intimidate anyone. Kristin is also realistic and easy to connect with and has great rapport with Whitnay who is her best friend. Jaxon finds himself in a legal bind, Kristin is there to help him, I really enjoyed the plot. While working together these two help each other to overcome their insecurities from their past. I’ve been waiting for Kristen’s story since Vile Intentions and it did not disappoint! If you haven’t read Vile Intentions first I would highly recommend it. Vile Intuition can be read as a standalone if you haven’t.
This friends to lovers story kicks off with the couple taking off to Mexico with friends to celebrate Jaxson’s brother’s engagement. After an emotional night at a bar, Kristin and Jaxson realize they can’t fight the building chemistry between them.
Jaxson is so sweet and patient when it comes to Kristin fiercely independent Kristin, which is the exact thing that she needs as she navigates through guilt of past experiences and planning her future.
Their chemistry is explosive and hot. Jaxson’s dirty mouth will have your temperature rising while Kristin’s quick wit will have you laughing out loud.
I am loving the Chicago Venom series and I can’t wait for more by Em Torrey!

Callahan or Jaxson? How do I even begin to choose between the wildly different but insanely hot Reid brothers?
Truth: I’d choose Jaxson. He’s just so darn swoony. Plus he's got that dirty-talking mouth and quick comebacks with a side of sweet. But when something needs to be handled, we call Cal, okay? Actually, we’d call Kristin. Because WHAT A FREAKING BOSS.
Funny, snarky, emotional, and twisty, I absolutely loved this book. When my kid woke me up in the middle of the night, I stayed up to finish my binge of this book.
For two smooth and polished exteriors, Kristin and Jaxson are messier on the inside and a deep emotional connection forms from it. I love Kristin for her ruthless attitude and ability to intimidate anyone. Of course, like anyone with a hardened exterior, the interior is softer and more complicated. I loved watching the walls slowly come down for Jaxson. For how the rest of it plays out… well, you better go grab your copy and read it RIGHT NOW!

Jax was absolutely swoon worthy! We need more of Jax and Kristin. Overall this book was more plot than spice but the spice was still good. I'd say the spice was a 3/5 just because we could have gotten more scenes, but the scenes we did get were good! The plot was really good. Having Kristin as a bad a** attorney, was everything and more. I love a good female character who can stand her ground but Kristin did more than that she scared her opponents and I loved that about her. It is fast paced but not too fast paced where you cannot keep up with the story. This was a good easy read. This is book two in this series but I feel you can read this on its own. If you did read book one we see a few familiar faces. I definitely recommend picking this up and diving in to the world of Jax and Krissy.

I officially want both Kristin and Whitnay as my best friends/gal group. Whitnay is straight up hilarious and I love Kristin’s strength. Kristin is so realistic and easy to connect with. She says the things I’ve always wanted to say, but have kept in my head instead. She’s an absolute spitfire and I love that! Jaxson is the man of every girl’s fantasy. Soft and understanding teddy bear when he needs to be and master of seduction in the bedroom. I loved how he slowly worked Kristin into trusting in him. It was a joy to watch him knock down her walls little by little. Also Kristin’s dad is who I picture my dad to be and that made me love him all the more (not just for his wicked one-liners). I only wish Jaxson had punched Devon when he had the chance! If you’re looking for a good friends to lovers with a bit of mystery thrown in, this would be a great book for you.

This book is everything. You really should read Vile Intentions first (it's another amazing story that I totally got lost in), and then clear your day and dive in. I don't think I stopped for more than a few minutes, I read this book quickly. I usually feel good about a quick read, but I've never felt so invested and consumed like I did with this one. Pay attention to this author. She's one of the good ones, y'all. I won't give any spoilers, but if you have read the first one, then this is the story you are hoping for, and it doesn't disappoint for a second. These characters are in my soul now, and you definitely want to dive deeper into this beautiful, sometimes devastating world that will cut you deep and then stitch you back up. ❤️❤️

Vile Intuition was a short, simple, and super sweet book. I had the absolute pleasure of getting to read about Jaxon and Kristen. They were both very spicy and sweet at times, and just all together fun. I think the author did a great job at balancing out the character's personalities. I am so pleased that I got to read this book, and I can't wait for you to meet the characters!

Oh how I love Kristin! She is an alpha female with a real person inside. I'll make this review short and sweet. I could tell in book one Jaxson needed someone strong to stand by him and her she is. A strong as f∆ck FMC who is totally likeable. As usual Em Torrey kills it with the storyline, amazing characters, and h0t s€x. Perfect reading.

I absolutely Love Kristin and Jaxson and their banter
Kristin and Jaxson are in the same circle of friends and the attraction between them is hot. Kristin is a strong independent lawyer who doesn’t want commitment and Jaxson has a laid back personality. The sparks fly when they sleep together, and even thought she only does one night her and Jaxson keep going. Jaxson is going to need a lawyer to help him out of a situation and Kristin is there but they have to hide their relationship. Can Kristan get him Off? Great characters and storyline Highly. recommended Amazing book. Absolutely love Jaxson and Kristin. Amazing supporting characters. The spice is so hot and he’s a dirty talker. Awesome twists and turns. Love the sarcastic humor

This was everything I wanted it to be!
Jaxon and Kristens story gave all the feel good vibes with masses of sex appeal between the two of them that made fireworks when they came together (no pun intended😏😄) but seriously hot AF. I love how much they didn't know they needed each other.
Kristen is filthy mouthed, sarcastic and badass but also an independent women who can handle herself in and out of the courtroom.
Even though it was their story it was awsome to see Callahan and Brielle and how their relationship progressed.
My only issue is..... I now want the next book 😭

I read this book as an ARC and I love the characters in this series. They are witty, funny, vulnerable, and ballsy. They are down to earth real people. Kris is the badass bitch I want to be when I grow up, and Jaxson is a sexy, snuggly wildcat. My only complaint would be that I want MORE. The story was so fast it was almost like it was over before I knew it. I wanted to see more, experience more, and just live vicariously through these snarky and witty people just a little bit longer. Overall Em Torrey ya did great!

Much like Vile Intentions (Chicago Venom Series, book 1), Vile Intuition was fun, steamy, intense, and funny. Jaxson is fire and so, so delectable. Kristin is dark and sultry, sharp-tongued and so funny to read. When they come together, it's super satisfying. There is a lot of tension, medium burn, suspense, and a super fast read without making you feel like the author didn't build the world enough. Vile Intuition checked all the boxes for me, and I highly recommend reading Vile Intentions as well. Author Em Torrey is an emerging author to look out for.

Vile Intuition Is book 2 in the Chicago Venom series. Kristen is a top attorney who has defended some of the worst. When her friend Jaxon is accused of insider trading, she decides she must help him prove his innocence. But, the more time they spend together, the closer they become. This book was amazing. I loved Kristen. She is an alpha female who has no problem putting people in their place. And Jaxon, wow. This book is a fun, fast paced read. I would recommend this book to everyone. Definitely make sure to check out violent intentions as well. It's the first book in the Chicago Venom series.

Kristin is such a Queen lets start off there. I am this lady just exudes a confidence that I think we all strive to have. Jaxson is just perfection and probably every girls dream man. They are both professionals that love to put the work first but when they have to spend some time together it gets steamy really quickly. It was definitely not your typical romance book but the fact that it was not made it all that better. It was a super quick read because you just need to find out whats next. They are not your typical duo but they make a dynamic duo.

Kristen has no filter and no patience for bs. I absolutely love her! She is so independent it's hard for to show her emotions, but Jaxson keeps chipping away at her walls. His panty melting dirty talking is an added bonus to his sweetness.
Em threw some twists in there that I did not see coming at all! Definitely an author to keep an eye on!

Em Torrey continued her Chicago Venom Series in this second installment featuring Kristen and Jaxon. Kristen is a no-nonsense attorney with a mouth like a whip. I liked this one, it was a good read.
I liked the main character's attitude, she had some fight and I enjoyed her character in book one so it was nice to read her story in this one. They made each other happy and made a good team. Hopefully I'll get to read more about them in book 3. I'll say I prefer Jaxon over Callahan though. 😏

Jax was so sexy, loving , protector , he was everything a women would want a boyfriend to be. I loved the characters of this book. Kristin brought her A game of course with her no filter personality . This book was so good! A must read that’s for sure.

Wow this was so good. If you love Beth Dutton then there is a sexy bada$$ FMC that gives me massive Beth vibes! I just love Jax! There is so much about this book that is just amazing! It's definitely a good and must read!

These characters grabbed me from the beginning. I really enjoyed learning who they were and getting to spend time with them.
The plot was excellent, and the pacing of the story was well done.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend, and I look forward to reading more from Em Torrey.
