A disappointing sequel to book 1. Where's the conflict? Where's the intrigue? Where's the tension? This book gives us practically no answers to the questions raised in book 1 other than some background info on Grayson. We get some POV chapters from the men and a couple from the mysterious stalker. Remi continues to be an untrained but egotistical protagonist with a god complex and is wet just by looking at any of her men. Sex is boring and repetitive and I found myself skimming through. Seriously, I think this book/series is 50% sex, which would be fine if it was creative and kinky. It's not. These men are all in love with her after meeting her once (with the exception of Vander and Grayson) and refuse to knock some sense into her when she's being dumb or bratty. I fail to see her appeal.

And oh my god are we going to just skip past the charity gala where Grayson had to make Remi come (as punishment for something unmemorable that happened earlier with Jasper) in front of her childhood abuser and (unknowing) father? There was literally no overarching plot to this book, just little fires that were put out every few chapters. If the 3rd book wasn't coming out in a few days and wasn't on KU, I'd put this series down but I am curious to see who the stalker is, because surprise! 2 books later and we still don't know 🙄 Okay, rant over.

The story continues in this nail-biting stalker suspense! Again, this book was hot, but I don’t think the scenes topped the hotness that was in the first book. But it was still HOT! I can’t tell you which is my favorite guy, but if I don’t find out who stalker 1 and stalker 2 is soon then I’m going to combust! I honestly think that one of them is one of her guys. Possibly Cole. And that last chapter…..the plot thickens! I’m definitely jumping right into the next book even though I really need to be booking airline tickets, hotels, and rental cars. And dinner…..my family can fend for themselves or starve for all I care! 😈 No one is keeping me from this series right now! I need all the answers! Vander has some explaining to do!

Reconcile is the second book in the Dear Darkness series. This cannot be read as a standalone and you would need to read Fractured first. I highly recommend heeding the trigger warnings

As if the first one couldn't get any better, this one completely blew my mind. For being such a dark book, I found so much humor and not gonna lie, I was laughing out loud at some parts. Remington is A-maz-ing, She is literally one of my favorite characters. And again! This ends on another cliffy...I sooo can't wait to see what happens next.

THIS FREAKING BOOK!!!

So much angst and oh so much steam.

I absolutely love Remi. She knows what she wants and she makes sure she gets it.
Remi has started to really embrace the darkness within her with the help of Ravenmaster. He helps her embrace who she is deep down while finding a balance without letting it consume her.
The guys are all so incredibly different but they all have one thing in common. How fiercely they will protect Remi. This book gives us so much more insight on all of the guys, and a little bit more on Ravenmaster.
There is a lot of relationship building with each one of her guys which i loved.

Book one left me with so many questions, all of which were answered in this book. BUT now I have a whole new set of questions after finishing this book. I NEED TO KNOW! 😑

*Total Mind Blow (Boom)*

Remington is a goddess of death. And I'm here to worship upon her alter.

This book, this series is so good! I can't get enough. I love everything Remi! Much like Book 1, we are entranced in this storyline that you can't turn away from. It takes off directly where Book 1 left off, but this book includes the guys POV!! (Internal squeal lol)

Grayson, Vander, Jasper, Cole and Ravenmaster are back! There are so many twists and turns; and after this book, I'm really questioning who is telling us the truth anymore.

After being saved from the sniper shooter, Remi's stalker had them saved and put up in some kind of mafia hospital and with the painkillers Vanders on, she finally, finally gets the reactions she's always wanted from him... Closer than ever, she starts to demand secrets. Secrets that have kept her in the dark for too long. Only, is she really getting all the secrets? Can she truly trust her guys?

When all of her guys come together to protect her, do they realize she isn't the one who needs protecting? All of her guys are infatuated with her on a level that is purely psychotic and sinfully sexy that Remi can't get enough of. I can't help but feel like a normal persons red flags are her heart-eyes in a relationship, and I love it! lol

The guys do not trust Ravenmaster. Hes given the guys no real reason to. But after a passionate, blind-folded night, Remi lets him have his way with her, but she soon she finds out, Ravenmaster is not just 1 person. *duh duh duhhhhhh*

The ending freaking blew my mind. I felt like things were off with certain things, but I was NOT expecting that. I do have lots of theories, but ohhhhh, someone is in trouble! I can't wait to see how it plays out in book 3!

This book was action-packed, steamy, funny and amazing and I love this authors writing style. The imagination on this lady is wild and I have devoured everything I can. This series is really great!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 5/5
*Fast Burn
*Multiple first person POV
*MFMMM M? M? Romance (No MM)
*Ends on cliffhanger

Reconcile is the second book in the Dear Darkness series by Leah Steele. If you have not yet read Fractured then go back and do so! This series is dark and I highly recommend reading the trigger warning!

So, I thought I was obsessed with book one, but something about this one had me gripping the edge of my seat even more. The dynamics between Remington and her guys had me laughing and fanning myself at the same time. Remi still has someone who wants her dead and will stop at nothing to figure out the mystery surrounding why, while also fighting to protect herself.

The more we learn about these characters as the story continues, the more excited I’ve become for the last installment. I especially want to know who her stalker is as I have so many theories as to who it could be!

And that cliffhanger?! BRUTAL. I have even more questions than when I started reading this and I need to know what happens next!

You hook me in, get me obsessed and then leave me with that ending?! 😱 What a damn way to kill us with a cliffhanger!! How in the actual hell am I supposed to wait for book 3?! 🫣

This book/series has its hooks in me! Im attached to these characters. Remi & her reverse harem of murdering, stalking psychos! Lucky girl! Yes please!! This book satisfies all the dark tropes my heart swoons for! I love a possessive psycho that says “if he touches you I’ll kill him” and means it!

This story is written so well, with so many moving parts, secrets, and darkness. I knew at the end of Fractured that series was going to be a favorite. I was so anxious for this book and to see what else these crazy guys had in store for us, especially her stalker! 😈 I think I just might have more questions now, but I’ll be “patiently” waiting for book 3!

So how do I start this review other than by saying Leah hit it out of the park 🖤 it was Fantastic!!

For a dark stalker romance I honestly have never laughed so much, the characters in this book are crazy psychos but they are sooooo frogging amazing I want to be in a big cuddle pile (maybe more than cuddle 😉) with them all!

This book heated up astronomically and with how many guys involved it was hot hot hot 🥵🥵 I seriously want a Ravenmaster in my life 🖤 The guys are all so gruff and growly you might need to keep a fresh of knickers with you just in case 😜

The violence was also a game changer, at 1 point I was twitching whilst reading (when you read it you will probably figure out the bit I’m taking about) it’s was gruesome and bloody 😈

There is a few twists and turns in this book which you can kind of see but don’t realise until you get to the end and then that ending 😱😱 OMG how to try and kill me off! I seriously need to know what happens now please?!

This is a dark stalker RH with very dark themes so please read the triggers. It’s a multi POV book.

This series just keeps getting better and better. The first book was amazing, thrilling, and full of mystery. The second book escalates, taking it up several notches and getting everyone involved! I absolutely loved seeing the points of views from all the guys that we were originally introduced to. That was something the first book was lacking, not in a bad way considering it was still incredible, but I really enjoyed seeing their side of things and seeing the different types of emotions and thoughts that aren't always seen in a singular POV.

I think one of the biggest changes we see in this book from the guys is with Vander and Grayson. From what we've come to know about Vander from the first book, he tended to stay away, staying professional more than anything even though it was clear that he and Remi had buckets of chemistry between them. There were a lot of hot and cold moments from him that frustrated Remi, but he has finally made his move and let his walls down a bit. At this point he seems like he is all in and willing to give a relationship with Remi a chance. As for Grayson, that boy has a lot to come back from after the whole baby batter incident. I'm glad that we got to understand him more through his POV, learning more about his background, why he had the reputation he had, and why he acted that way with Remi in the previous book. I ended up really liking his character and look forward to seeing more from him.

As for the Ravenmaster situation, I thought that I possibly had him figured out. Who he was or at least who I was leaning towards him being, but this book with the multiple points of view as well as the wrench that was thrown in there regarding Ravenmaster and his accomplice/partner really threw me for a loop. I'm back at square one trying to figure out who these men are, if they are already part of her harem, or if they are an additional two that will be added on soon. Either way, I'm really excited for the full reveal of them. The single POV we got from Ravenmaster and the one tattoo scene just weren't enough. He's a stalker, but he's one I really like around, as does Remi.

You see a lot of darkness and anger in this book, but you also see a lot of emotionally draining situations as well. Although Remi considers herself "emotionally dead inside", there was a moment where she was the complete opposite and the moment that triggered it wasn't something about herself or what was going on in her life; she's been through enough for nothing to really affect her. No, it was something regarding someone she cared about. That was such a pivotal moment for Remi even though I'm sure she will probably regret it at some point or full on ignore that it happened, but for her to react that way in the defense of someone else, that proves how much these men have come to mean to her in such a short time. Maybe her darkness isn't all she needs to let out every now and then.

Reconcile is true to its name as the next instalment of this intensely dark, thrilling series is all about restoring or I suppose creating relationships.

Will her men accept each her for who she is?

Whats secrets have they been hiding?

It starts of fast-paced where Fractured left off and we are quick to get some answers about what is going on. Grayson's dark secret comes to light, Vander explains some more truths and a certain hot gun instructor is closer to our girl than first believed.

It was also about the men of the harem being fully exposed to Remington's darkness, a test to see if they could accept her one she meets head on but despite not having any feels there was a slight hint of trepidation. All her life she has played a role, acting for everyone, trying to fit in and now she wants to find somewhere and someone who will accept her for her wonderfully, dark, psychotic self.

Jasper plays a bigger role in Reconcile and he is without a doubt my favourite of all her men. He's demanding, dark, and does whatever he likes and answers to no one. He unashamedly immediately treats Remington like the love of his life not caring that her other men are around and true to his nature invites them all to join in on the fun. Without his mostly easy going attitude the harem wouldn't work but the others just have to accept that he's going to be like that with Remi in front of them so they can watch or leave because he definitely isn't.

If you love dark, angsty books with a steam level that breaks all levels and a FMC who is the one with a darkness her men need t accept, then this is the book for you. What are you waiting for? Go start book 1 of Remi's story and if you have already then book two was well worth the wait!

What a waste.

I kid you not 85% of this book is sex. It has gotten so monotonous that there is no reason to even bother reading it. MAYBE 15% of the book is plot line. Maybe. At this point I think the series could be reduced down to one book maybe two if the author would quit with the copy and paste sex scenes every third page and actually write some content. I’m so over it with this author. I won’t be following up.

- FMC: Remington (aka Remi; aka Raven)
- MMC's: Grayson, Jasper, Vander, Cole, Ravenmaster
- POVs Included: Multiple POVs (Grayson, Ravenmaster, Remi, Vander)

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

With assassination attempts against Remi looming, her and her guys agree that she needs to move away from her house for safety. They all agree to stay at Cole's house for the time being.

In the meantime, Ravenmaster is continuing to coach Remi on killing properly. And, as it turns out, has initiated her into an assassin guild without her knowledge.

As Remi grows closer to all of her men, secrets are revealed and threats continue to pile up against them.

-----------------------------------
-----------------------------------
REVIEW:

An amazing follow up to Fractured. Thrilling, sexy, and fun. I love Remi and I'm loving all her guys in different ways.

It was really nice to see her and her guys form a whole unit in this one too. They are all working together and in agreement about sharing her and I'm loving it.

In stalker news, Ravenmaster really threw me for a loop! I really thought he (or they?) was one (or more) of the four guys. But he's not! He's a totally different guy. Which I find exciting, but also confusing. I'm desperately wanting to know who he is, but it's also kind of nice he's still a bit of a mystery.

But the sex scene she has with him (while blindfolded) only added more questions. Because there was definitely at least one other guy besides hot pierced cock stalker guy. Whoooo is it?!? Ahh! I wanna know.

And then there's the big reveal at the end that Vander has been working for her REAL dad and not her adopted dad. Interesting. But why? Very curious, but I hope she forgives him! I love Vander's broody ass.

The ending for this one is another cliffhanger. I don't think she or the guys are really dead of course, but what's going on that Vander isn't in on whatever is happening? I'm so worried! I hope he isn't booted from the harem. No!

Overall this was even better than the first book. A total page turner. Exciting, steamy, and a really entertaining read. On to the next one!

What a fantastic sequel! This book picks up right where the first left off, and we’re immediately thrown right into the crazy, I love it! Something about this series makes it stand out for me, it’s a bit different than other books – at least it sticks out in my mind, in the best way.

Remi is one of my more recent favorite fmc’s. She is bad**s in her own right. She continues to explore herself and her feelings – although she’s convinced that she’s emotionally dead inside – throughout this book and it’s wonderful to see her growth. Now, you may judge me for saying that, but I just mean she comes into her own. Yes, she’s psycho, that’s a given, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to watch her let her darkness out and explore that side of her. In this book, she lets it out even more and she must decide whether it’s something she wants to share with her men. Now, her men, phew! Hotties! These guys are the type of book boyfriends that I collect and love. They are sexy to the extreme and have unique personalities, I love that no two are the same. Each guy represents something different and they all compliment Remi well. She’s too much of a woman to handle alone, she needs more than one man.

It's dark and twisty – a crazy rollercoaster ride, but I couldn’t have asked for anything better. The stalker continues his wicked ways and I can’t wait to find out who the heck he is! There’s mystery, angst, suspense, intrigue, spice and so much more. If you like your characters a little – ok, a lot – crazy, this is a must-read. Read the trigger warnings ahead of time! The spice is panty-melting hot, maybe don’t read this at work😉but it doesn’t overpower the story. If you’re just finding this, make sure to read Fractured – the first book – before diving in here. If you’re looking for a great story, look no further, you’ve found your next read!!

was really excited for this release

I love books like these. The first book I loved so much I read it twice, only to be bummed at the wait for the next one in the series. Finding out at the release of this one, which I checked for religiously because I was so excited, I was even more elated to find that it didn’t end with a duet there was a third book! I was so excited I spent the whole night reading, and I loved it. I loved the world building, the duality of the main character and her perceived darkness really interested me, I loved it. But, I felt that the stalker aspect was dragged on way too long. It wasn’t revealed, there was no reason given for stalker-blocking me. I wanna know darn it. Two books and nothing more is revealed besides the stalkers group affiliation. That’s it. Then I was stalker teased with knowing his voice was god sent, and that he knew how to use his pierced Willy Wonka. Now, thats a chocolate factory I could get behind. But I digress, I was so stalker-edged, that I began to get angry towards the end of the book, it really messed with my ability to get into the ending. Stop stalker-blocking me woman. I have to find something now to read before September. I lost a star because of the stalker-blocking, and yes I will continue calling it that because it gives me serotonin when you have given me zilch with that cliffhanger. I mean, lady, there’s two of them dang it. You could’ve given away one. I’m sobbing over here. An absolute mess. It’s disgusting. I’m going to eat chocolate and consume coffee before work. Toodles.

Absolutely Loved Book Two!! Can’t Wait For Next Book!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review

This series just keeps getting better and better with each book. We pick up right where Leah Steele left us with our hearts torn open and desperate to find out what happens to our favorite characters.

I’m not able to say much because I don’t want to spoil anything since it is the middle book of the series and there’s still more to unfold for Remi and her men. I can say that her relationship with the guys finally progress into more in this one, with the exception of our man in the shadows who still refuses to show himself. But hopefully we won’t have to wait to much longer. Lots of things unfold in this book and we are faced with a whole bunch more twists and turns. Still not a HEA yet for everyone yet but I still have hope for them yet. I do love how Remi and her men are more in tune with not just her but each other now too. Sadly though the ending leaves us with a freaking huge shocking cliffy and someone close to her is forced to betray Remi and then will be left crushed by what happens with the epic cliffhanger.

This is an absolutely fantastic series and the characters are perfectly matched and just ultimately well written. I can’t wait to read book three and find out what Leah has in store for us and for our favorite characters. If you love hot possessive alpha males and a strong independent FMC then this series is definitely a must read for you. I highly recommend this entire series!!

Genre/Tropes: RH, Dark
POV: 1st, Multiple
Series: Dear Darkness, #2
STEAM LEVEL: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
——————

Y’all, my girl Leah has 👏🏻 DONE 👏🏻 IT 👏🏻 AGAIN!!! Reconcile is the second book in her Dear Darkness Series, a dark, gritty, sexy af reverse harem featuring a FMC who loves to kill and the alpha men obsessed with their woman. Death, stalking, twists and turns, and a heap load of sexy times make this a rollercoaster of deliciousness from beginning to end.

|| 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚔 𝚊𝚋𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚞𝚝𝚎𝚕𝚢 𝚏𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚠𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚖𝚢 𝚋𝚕𝚘𝚘𝚍. ||

Remi is my girl. She’s a little bit crazy, but vulnerable. She’s super confident but loves being taken care of. She’s the center of her mens’ world, but they’re the center of her world too. There’s nothing like letting your inner darkness free and your men reveling in the bloodshed.

This book has some triggers and it’s insanely fast-paced. There are still a million and one questions that need to be answered but I LOVE how Leah really focused on establishing all the relationships in this book. They were H.O.T. Like, fan yourself for days hot. 🥵 But they’re also sweet as pie and had so much dark humor to go along with it.

I’m obsessed. We’ve barely scratched the surface and Remi, Grayson, Vander, Cole, Jasper, and the Ravenmaster and I’m here for the long haul. And after that cliffhanger??? I need the next one, Leah! 😭😭

I swear each book just gets better than the last. This book was freaking amazing. This is one of those authors that will grab you by the balls from page one and hold that grip tight until the very end. While we had so many questions at the end of book one well you get those answered but then you are left with heaps more which I freaking love. I need a good to keep me on my toes and guessing and asking WTF and wanting to throw my kindle out the window. Remi is amazing and I love her so much she is fierce and selfless and would do anything to protect the ones she cares about. Her guys OMG her men are something else while each of them are unique in their own way they each of this pull and bond with Remi and if there is one thing we can all agree on it is how much they care for her and they would burn the whole world to the ground to protect her. Watching the relationships grow and build and blossom is fantastic watching Remi come into her own and grow *chefs kiss* amazing. I cannot wait for the next book!!!

This was a real pain to get through and I think I’ve had enough. The sex scenes were painfully monotonous and cringy. Jasper dried up my hooha so bad I had to explain to my husband why he’s on a timeout.
I will have nightmares of some of the things Jasper said and did while banging.

Any of them could have died at any time in this book and I would’ve been glad it was one ridiculous man less to deal with. The author must have struggled with all her carbon copies as well because for large portions of the book some of them go AWOL in order for MC to spend time with just one of them. No explanations what they were all doing when they disappeared, and certainly nothing that further the plot along.

Villainizing MC’s dad seemed out of the blue after book 1. Actually, scratch that, EVERY plot device and “twist” (spoiler: there weren’t many) seemed to be seat-of-the-author’s-pants kind of writing, but the frosting on the cake is MC turning out to NOT be a psychopath despite the author’s note and obvious attempt to make her so in the first book and most of book 2.

Ahhhhhh!!! That cliffhanger is BRUTAL Leah!!!!

Reconcile is book #2 in the Dear Darkness series. Its a dark reverse harem. Make sure to check the trigger warning.

We pick up where we left off in Fractured. Remi's stalker, Ravenmaster, is still keeping all kinds of secrets but still helps her whenever she needs it. He goes to any lengths to keep her safe, or should I say they? 😉😉

Vander gives into the temptation the is Remi and Holy crap, this man's dirty mouth is EVERYTHING, Grayson sees Remi's killer side and falls more in love, Jasper comes back, and Cole moves them all into his house. Remi's relationship with each guy grows and feelings become stronger. And that night with the Ravenmaster!?!?! FREAKING HOT!!!

We get some questions from Fractured answered, but we are left with so many new ones!!

Reconcile is action packed, spicy and completely addictive!! Leah Steele blew my mind and i can't wait for Raven!!!

Wow! More please?!?

I don't even know where to start. First, this book is phenomenally written by an equally phenomenal author and person! Leah Steele became one of my favorites with her first book, and she just keeps continuing to impress me. This series is in my top 5 favorites EVER.

Remi really shines in the book! I love that she is finding herself and becoming who she is meant to be. I really fell in love with all of the guys, they showed more of their trueselves and you get to know them better! The storyline, plot, characters, everything about this book is spot on! Perfection! 🤌🏻 Anddd the steam!!! Yes please! I'm here for it all. 🙌🏻

Butttt....THAT ENDING?!?! WHATTT WAS THAT??? I need the next book like yesterday! 😭

I am so grateful to the author for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! I was so excited to read the sequel to this crazy series and boy did this book not disappoint!

The characters are all bloodthirsty and cuckoo for coco puffs and I LOVED IT! The steam was off the charts and the edging was very realllll... It was hot hot HOTTTT!

I mean a reverse harem that murders together, will stay together I always say and I love reading about how all these sexy crazy characters interacted together. It was a lot of fun to read, but it definitely left me frustrated... I want to know who her sexy stalker is so bad..I will go insane and I will take this author with me if I don’t find it out soon!

Every single guy besides Grayson is a replica of the others. The only difference is that Vander is overprotective and Cole, Jasper, and Grayson are not. And is it just me or wouldn't her getting married actually make sense? Married couples draw far less attention than single people. They don't even acknowledge that, which makes me question their intelligence. Like, all they know how to do is screw and kill?

There's no challenges for the characters to face, no opportunity for them to grow or change. It would be funny if they had a child and were scheduling murder around naps and feedings or being mad because the baby woke up because the victim shouted or something. It's just kill, screw, bicker, repeat.

Ok now I have more questions after reading this book.

Remi is still her charming, psycho self in this book. Have to love her though I don’t think she’s as dead inside as she claims. Things pick up with her and the guys. The scenes she has with them had me grab an extinguisher since I thought my Kindle would catch fire.

The mysterious Ravenmaster is still lurking but are they a stalker or are they there to help? Hard to say but I’m dying to know who it is.

Some surprises are dropped and I was not prepared for that cliffhanger even though I knew another book was coming.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

❤️🖤 Holy Hotness Batman!!🖤❤️

I absolutely LOVED this book! This is such a phenomenal series that is full of dark twists and secrets that keep you on your toes and douses you with such wickedly hot scenes that will drive you crazy in the best of ways. Just when you think you have things figured out, WHAM…you are thrown down the rabbit hole again!

The relationship that Remi has with each of her men, as well as how they all interact with each other is so well written and makes for such a captivating and fantastic read. I want to dive into this book over and over again and never leave.

Noooo don't let it end like that. Man does this trilogy keep getting better and better which each book. Raven has finally worked out to embrace her darkness rather than keeping it hidden. Her guy's man what a bunch of smexiness on a stick they each bring something to the relationship to keep her human and not letting her darkness take over. I thought we'd finally get some more hints to whom the stalker is. But yeh Leah is only giving out samples, so I know we'll be getting that juicy tidbit in Book 3, so yep this does end on a explosive cliffhanger ending that'll have you 😱 whyyyy???? This book was so damn good and dirty you don't want to miss it.

Reconcile is book 2 in the Dear Darkness series by Leah Steele and seriously I’m starting to get a vibe that authors enjoy the pain of their reader’s especially when they end books like THAT! This is a dark, twisted, gritty suspenseful book full of angst, psychos and stalkers. This picks up where we left off in book one in the mist of all the action. Our FMC Remi is probably one of my favourite characters I’ve read recently, having a hard time connecting to people yet is this sassy and outgoing person. She’s starting to embrace the darkness and the guys are totally going for it but there’s a real mystery behind who the heck Ravenmaster is?! I Need MORE!
