The goal is to improve learning retention and do it better and faster.
Accelerated Learning in a nutshell.
Though it maybe helpful for some starting out it was a huge distraction for me. I was so bogged.down in principles, concepts, foreign languages and a stories I was losing sight why I was reading the book in the first place.
Worse the book seem to repeat over material from earlier chapters which was annoying.
If you do read this book, treat it as a hand book and only read chapters you find interesting or read it as an outline (first sentence and conclusion)
I feel the book is overwritten and strayed away away into trivia subjects though related could have been left out of the book.

To czyni tę książkę interaktywnym i praktycznym poradnikiem.

Tytuł, do którego warto wracać :)

Main points
The book covers everything you need to learn more effectively, starting with defining your learning mindset to strategizing plans for different types of learning. The author not only points out common misconceptions about learning but also introduces best practices from various sources. Although he did not provide complete references for the studies he mentioned, I appreciate the effort he made to compile everything in one place.

How the book changed me
After completing this book, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of effective learning strategies. I have identified and corrected many misconceptions and ineffective learning strategies. Additionally, I have strengthened my study plan by prioritizing learning objectives, establishing clear goals, and allocating sufficient time for study.

My top three quotes
Whenever you learning something new, you should also ask yourself whether it is useful. Remember, everything you do has an opprotunity cost - it prevents you from doing something else that might be more useful.

World-class performers spend most of their time practicing moves and techniques that fall beyond their comfort zone. Meanwhile, average people spend most of their time trying to polish existing skills.

The less effort you exert - reading a book passively, watching a video while doing something else, et cetera - the less you're really learning. Inversely, the more effort you make - taking notes using your own words, summarizing the content in your head, recalling key concepts, et cetera - the more you're learning.

This book was full of practical advice for improving my learning system. Additionally, I really love the tree analogy that the author used to explain how to master your learning process. The book was easy to read, and the information was very clear.

Within these pages, you can find how to apply every point that the author mentioned as practical advice. I assessed my learning process, including the tools and techniques that I use every day, and applied the different points suggested by the author.

Perhaps, in some parts, the author repeats the same idea several times, and I didn't like it when that happened.

The Master series wins again

The Master series is really well written it's simple. They tend to be easy reads. And also easily digestible. People who like to learn and understand and read quickly these are great resources for extracting information and putting into practice some are all of what you learned.

I thought the section on learning languages was especially good. I plan on using one of his recommended processes to learn to speak German.

I also wish I knew the information on how to prepare for a standardized test like the SAT/ACT or GMAT. It would have greatly helped me when I was entering college and grad school.

In one of the book chapters it says that if you find yourself reading too many books, consider norrowing your choise to 'proven' books, and I don't think this book is a proven book. It has too many unnesesary content and it repeats somthing too many times. I think Thibaut just wanted to make as many pages as he could not carying enough about the content.

The book has some good advice that has been taken from other books and blogs -- at least the author gives the credit. Too many ideas are repeated along the chapters. The idea on roots, trunk, branches and water is easy to remember.

a lot of good advice

Very helpful, the learning techniques layer out where right in line with what I’m trying to do. There was even a section on language learning, and I’m learning Spanish now, and I’m pretty stocked to give these techniques a try!
