For me, any of these All-Time greatest books are really up to the person who is writing them. Most people are going to agree on some and disagree on others. As for myself this book was written by a young man who is 29 and explained that he watched a lot of videos from either past games or players I am sure this is true but like everything, the players from the 50s, 60s, and 70s really paved the way for today’s stars. I am in my sixties and I remember going to a game and seeing George Gervin in The “Iceman” play seeing him in person was very different than on T.V. what he could do on the court was effortless, at least that was the way he made it look. I also would have put Dr. J higher on his list for when the author said he was doing what Jordan was doing was wrong. Dr. J was doing the high-flying dunks many years before Jordan, of course, he was in the ABA but it was still a thing of beauty, not saying he was better than Jordan just the high-flying dunks I remember Dr, J doing those In the ABA for I was able to see those. Overall good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com

I don't agree with many of the rankings, but that's not the point of the book. The author did a great job of not making it feel like written version of the debate sports shows that we hear everyday. I learned so many new facts about the teams and players, and I love how he included what was written about them during their era. Yes, the subject matter might be opinionated, but the book is full of well-researched stats.
