Great little book for anyone interested in Truman Capote, Harper Lee, or Monroeville, Alabama. It is made up mostly of fruitcake recipes with stories of Truman and Sook, some of which are also in A Christmas Memory by Capote.

In 20026 I read this collection and made four of the fruitcake recipes for my library book club. Three of them were delicious; the one made with juice instead of alcohol was not.

A goofy little book to buy at the Border's going out of business sale - but fun! It just might tempt you to try making an edible fruitcake! (And, I guess some would say it's written by a bit of a fruitcake character!)
