Can this stalker cowboy show the curvy schoolteacher that he’s the one for her?
Bear
I’ve been obsessed with Faith since I rescued her a year ago. She doesn’t know that it was me or that I’ve been watching over her ever since.
My grandfather’s will states that I have to select a mail order bride to keep my inheritance. I should give up my obsession with the curvy woman who haunts my dreams, but I don’t think that’s possible.
When the mail order bride service pairs me with the woman I’ve been protecting from the shadows, I know this is the sign I’ve been waiting for. She’s meant to be mine. And I plan to claim her.
Faith
One night changed everything. Big, strong arms carried me through. I know someone was there, watching over me.
Now my rescuer seems to be everywhere I am. I’ve never seen a face, but I can feel his presence. Someone is protecting me, staying just far enough in the shadows that I don’t know his identity.
After a year of trying to find the man, I’ve finally given up. I’ve accepted the cowboy husband the mail order bride service selected for me. But there’s something so familiar about this stranger. Is it possible he’s the one I’ve been looking for?

I feel like Mia Brody somehow came out of nowhere and made it into my list of top short story/instalove authors. I’m just a sucker for her stuff. And when she writes a handicapped hero? I’m done for! She does it so well. I hope she keeps them coming.
This was really sweet romance story. Let me hold myself together first.
Okay I'm ready!
These two lonely soul met and fell hopelessly in love together. The H saved our h while she was trying to protect her students when the tornado hit. He dug them out of the rubble. However, he never introduced himself to her; she didn't even see his face. Weeks after that, he still kept tabs on her; watching her from afar and keeping her safe. He had his own reasons not to approach her. He's a mute. Yet, when his grandfather died and left a stipulation on the will, one where he needed to wed to claim his right, he decided he would leave her and married a stranger through (cowboy) mail order bride. Luckily for him, the match was his obsession. But would he be enough for her?
See the story was started nicely. Both MCs had a really strong start. Added with strong characters and a back story, this was quite a good short romance story. I liked how both characters who seemed strong were vulnerable inside because of their past. But they didn't give up on themself or their partner. I was really mellowed inside as I learned about their past, their story, and how they put themself the best they know-how. And how they finally find someone who could actually accept them for who they are. See, a sweet romance story. One that definitely warmed my heart and see the goodness in romance books.
Dual virgin Sex after marriage kindergarten teacher h, mute cowboy H Dual PoV, 1st person No drama/angst No cheating Safe read, HEA, epilogue Overall score: 4.5 sweet romance stars
This was a great short story. I loved the flow of this book. It had a well developed storyline. I was interested on the the fact that Bear was nonverbal. I was curious how that would work. Faith was so sweet and together they were adorable. Cute loving story.
Super-Hiper-Ultra-Mega-Power recomendado!
📚The Cowboy's Obsession 📚 By Mia Brody Format: eBook (Kobo Plus) 📚 POV: Dual Setting: The Scott Ranch, Courage County, Asheville, Sweetwater Trope: Mail Order Bride, Alpha Obsessed Cowboy, Stalker Cowboy, Hero Cowboy, FMC & MMC Virgins Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spicy: 🌶🌶
Review: This book is the fifth installment in the captivating Courage County Brides series. The Scott Brothers are grappling with their grandfather’s passing and the unique stipulation in his will regarding their inheritance. They must get married to receive their shares, and their grandfather covered all bases. He enlisted a mail-order bride matchmaking service to pair each brother with a bride. This book tells Bear’s compelling story.
Bear’s story is truly a mix of heartbreak and healing. Living with a disability presents him with constant challenges, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. He is matched with Faith. She is unsure if their pairing will be successful. He doesn’t believe she will be able to love him. However, the deep love and unconditional acceptance that Faith offers him are incredibly heartwarming, highlighting the profound impact of compassion and understanding in his life.
Mia Brody doesn’t create picture-perfect characters; she boldly embraces disabilities within them. Her exceptional skill in crafting unforgettable, dynamic characters is nothing short of inspiring. This is what I truly admire about her books.
Bear can't imagine fulfilling the terms of his grandfather's will by getting married, because his heart belongs to a woman, a schoolteacher in town who he rescued when her building collapsed in a tornado. Now they're being thrown together by the mail order bride service, but can he reveal to her that he's basically been stalking her since the rescue? And can she marry this stranger--no matter how right he feels--when she knows there's a man out there, somewhere, who rescued her one night and stole her heart?
This is a neat series premised on eight foster brothers having to marry in order to inherit their land, a ranch on which all of them found safety and security as troubled, desperate children. Their late grandfather, who outlived the foster parents, contracted with a mail-order bride service to ensure his wishes were carried out. There is so much to this series I tore through it one book after another. Very much recommended for those who love steamy cowboy romance books.
Faith has a stalker but she doesn't feel threatened. It's been going on for a year, and he hasn't revealed himself. She decides it's time to move on, so she applies to be a cowboy mail order bride.
Bear has been in love with Faith since he rescued her and some of her students, but he left once he knew they were ok.
He's in need of a wife as per his grandfather’s will. He knows running behind Faith has to end to be fair to his new wife. Now see what happens when these two are matched!
Very, very heartwarming story. It still amazes me, how every book has its unique feeling and story, and the characters are unique in their experience as well. In this book there is much emphasize on the capability of the nonverbal communication and understanding, and again the beautiful acceptance of the person with all flaws and pains. Beaitiful!
I loved this book. Bear the gentle giant without a voice gets the woman who he saved as his own. I shedded a few tears reading this. Faith was a Godsend to Bear. Even despite his disability Bear was determined to show Faith how much he loved her. Great read. Looking forward to Cade’s book next.
Omg this by far is my favorite one so far. Bear is non verbal and never feels wanted. Faith is a school teacher paired with him to become his wife. He has a secret and hopes she won't leave. I was crying through this book. Bear is so loving and protective. Faith is the perfect woman for him. Can these two learn to communicate and will the secret bring them closer together?
I love Mia's storywriting. She broaches topics in a smart concise way that very few others do. Bear can't talk but is in love with a schoolteacher. Faith knows she has a special guardian that looks over her from the shadows. It is only when she decides to become a mail order bride that Bear comes out of the darkness into her light.
Bear is non-verbal, but that doesn't stop him in any other way. He saved Faith and fell in love with her. I love stories like this that show the so-called "handicapped" and how they might have different needs from others, but that doesn't make handicapped as society tends to treat them. Bear is amazing in his love for Faith.
This is an awesome story of finding love and acceptance at an unexpected rime and situation. These 2 characters are both wonderful loving people and deserved their happy ever after love story
I have really enjoyed this series so far. Bear and Faith’s romance is my favorite! Bear just really did it for me, him and his scars, his HUGE heart, broken and mended by the love of a wonderful woman.
I really like all the books in the series so far. All have been 5 stars. I love how the characters are kind and generous and open to love even after their trauma. Not good at writing reviews but I had to say how good the books in this series are!
I love Mia Brody’s books! Beautiful and very romantic Serious topics as always in her books I really enjoy a quiet and lonely Hero, this one is no verbal bcs of a stroke when baby
Both virgins Hero scarred and tortured by his parents No cheating
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Wow this one was different! I didn't realize that Bear had a stroke as an infant. What kind of sleazy parents don't take a baby to a hospital if they appear to be having a stroke? Morons that's who!
Wow. How do the books in this series just get better?? Bear is such an interesting character with the saddest backstory. I am loving all these possessive yet vulnerable cowboys and the beautiful strong ladies who deserve their attention. Will definitely be reading the others in the series.
Bear will forever be my favorite Scott brother. The man is just amazing in everything he does. I loved how good he was with Faith and how he wanted to protect her from everything and everyone. Their story is just amazing and smutty in a good way. I loved them together.
Ay, Bear, puede que sea un stalker, pero es tan bueno y pasó por tanto que se lo perdonamos (?) Después de todo es un stalker bueno, solo quería saber que Faith estaba bien. El epílogo ♥♥♥
