Colette On the outside, I'm just another suburban girl from an upstanding family. But behind closed doors, my life is sheltered and controlled. At age 22, I should be having fun and sowing my wild oats. But socially, I'm so far behind everyone else my age, it's embarrassing. I need a change. When a mysterious older man moves in next door, I seize the chance to learn more about the world outside of my father's tight control. What begins as innocent flirting soon turns my entire life upside down.
Warrick I moved to this neighborhood to retire in peace and quiet. But the family next door gets my hackles up. There's something strange about them. Specifically, their daughter seems far too interested in me and my desire for a dull, suburban life. The more I push her away, the more I'm drawn to her. Colette's wide-eyed innocence unsettles me, and her thirst for knowledge ensnares me at every turn. When I discover what's really going on next door, I have no choice but to take extreme action that could upheave the anonymous solitude I've fought so hard for.
This wide-age-gap, girl-next-door romance contains no cheating, no cliffhangers and is a stand-alone story with a happily ever after!
He’s 52, she’s 22, yet somehow this story works. Super sheltered Colette is stifled and controlled by her religious zealot parents until sexy bearded and burly Warrick moves in next door. Colette and Warrick have instalust for each other and he helps give her the courage to stand up to her parents and she fills his lonely old life with sun. Ya it’s a bit cringey and creepy that he’s so old and she’s very young, but it’s freaking hot too so get over it. They both decide to follow their hearts and live their lives for themselves and anyone else gets told where to go. I can’t believe this May/December story with a big age gap was pulled off so well, but it was. Great hot read. Very short and great escapism for an hour or so.

This was so, so, so good! Hot damn! So naughty and sexy. And sweet too. The couple had such chemistry! And now I need to read Candace's story. Which book is it?? Please?

Collette is not living the life that she truly wants at twenty two she has been sheltered from the real world by her overbearing parents, especially her pastor father who would rather keep her under lock and key. Collette's dreams are a far cry from her reality, she longs to travel and see all the wonders of the world especially all the art museums that she has read about, but her parents have made it clear that she belongs with them, but everything changes the day that Warrick moves into the house next door and she feels desire for the first time in her life. The attraction between them is instant and undeniable and with the way that Warrick is looking at her the feeling is mutual but with him being so much older she knows that her parents would never approve, has she lost love before she’s even discovered it or is there a bigger secret that could set her free?
Warrick had everything planned he had bought a house in a quiet peaceful town where he could retire and finally write the book he has been planing for years. But the day that he arrives at his new home everything changes when he meets Collette, the chemistry that he feels is incomparable to anything he has ever felt before, but she is to young for a jaded man like him. He can tell straight away that something isn’t right in what to the outside world looks like the perfect family and although he wants to finds it hard to keep his distance from Collette, the more time he spends with her he realises that he wants to show her the world. But something isn’t right with the family and he is a man that has always trusted his gut and when his investigations show him what her parents are really up to will she believe him or will he lose the woman he loved before he can giver her the world?
I really enjoyed this book, I know that the fact that there is a big age gap between them will be off putting for some I for one had no problem with it and found the book to be fun and steamy. Collette was naive and wanted to think the best oof her parents and Warrick was an ideal alpha hero. 4.5* read.
Colette is twenty-two and lives a very sheltered life with her parents. Her father is a pastor with very old fashioned ideas of how to raise a daughter. She wants to go away to college and study art but her father insists she stay and take virtual classes on things to make her a better housewife like cooking, sewing and knitting. her father won't even let her get a job and she can't even leave the house without telling them where she is going. One day while she is out getting mail, she meets their new neighbor Warrick. He is an older, hot man who makes Colette feel desire for the first time. Warrick even seems interested in her. Colette will do anything to spend alone wit him.
Warrick can't believe how beautiful Colette is. He knows he must be 30 years older than her but he can't resist her. He quickly notices that something isn't right in her house and he investigates her family closely. He knows that they have Colette chained up with all sorts of rules and she is unable to follow her dreams. He even learns some damaging secrets about her dad. Warrick will do whatever it takes to make Colette his own and free her to follow her dreams.

Abby Knox joins the delicious May December Romance multi-author series with Her Devil Next Door. A wide-age gap instalove romance, there is instant and palpable chemistry between Warrick and Colette from their first meeting. Colette has been severely repressed by authoritarian religious parents, and her itch to spread her wings grows into a need once Warrick opens her eyes to the world he could lay at her feet. While the thirty year age gap may make it seem insurmountable, for Warrick and Colette it simply works, and their story is an entertaining, steamy read.
A fantastic addition to the May December romance series!

Her Devil Next Door is intense and suspenseful age gap story that remind you that not all it that it may seem.
Colette lives home with her overprotective, religious parents who barely let her walk to the mailbox without making sure she has the appropriate clothes on.
Warrick just wanted to retire in a quiet neighborhood where he could spend his day peacefully. Then he noticed the young women that lived next door and his need to protect her took over.
This is a whirlwind of a story that is filled with heat, passion mixed with deceitful act and suspense as Warrick unravels the truth behind Colette's parents.

Colette is a 22-year-old adult under total control of her parents. They tell her what to do and when to do it. She has no experience in anything, so doesn’t feel she can go against their wishes. But things change when she sees her new neighbor, Warrick, and wants to reach out and get to know him.
Warrick notices something strange about the neighbors next door. Will he pay enough attention to discover the stifling situation Colette is in? Will he rescue her from the restricted existence that is not even close to “living”? And will the experience of freeing her bring them closer together and change the course of her life… and his?
Twenty-Two-year-old Colette has led a controlled and sheltered life so when Warrick moves in next door she jumps at the chance to learn more about the outside world from him. From the moment Warrick meets the family next door he knew something was off with them but after meeting Colette they both immediately feel a connection and things heat up. This is a short, age-gap romance between an experienced older man and an innocent young woman. The writing is well done, the characters are well developed and the story is packed with family drama, insta love, steam, and a happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
This was a lovely sweet and steamy age gap romance. Collette was 22 and completely sheltered by her overbearing parents. Warwick was 52 and moved house to settle into writing his book before retirement. As soon as they meet the attraction is instantaneous. Warwick realises something is amiss in the house next door and wants to protect Collette. The story is sweet, steamy and they have amazing chemistry. Wonderfully written with a beautiful HEA.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a short, instant love story between an older man and a sheltered young woman. Warrick is new to the neighborhood and expecting a quiet life. What he didn't expect was meeting Colette and her parents. She has been raised in a strict and corrupt religious household. When these two meet, all their differences fall away quickly. Their relationship is different but their hearts don't know that.

This was better than I expected. I wasn't sure at first about the 30 year age gap but the author made it work for the characters. Warrick is protective and supportive of Colette. Colette is so very isolated but she isn't immature or naïve. I appreciated that about her character. Interesting plot situation with the parents and the ending was terrific. Great book.

Colette's every waking moment is planned out by her parents. She does as she is asked, even though she is an adult. Where would she go, what would she do if she bucked against her parents and they kicked her out. Her getting along to get along attitude changes when Warrick moves in next door. Warrick expected to slowly settle into a more relaxed lifestyle, ready to downshift into retirement. Then he meets Colette and that goes completely out the window. I loved Colette, she sees Warrick and she is determined to get to know him. Her confidence was the best and Warrick falling completely under her spell was adorable!
Colette lives with her vert strict religious parents. She’s been sheltered all of her 22 years. She’s questioning everything. Suddenly meeting her new neighbor Warrick sets her on fire. She doesn’t care that he’s 30 years older than her. He saves her from her parents and their sheltering ways. But with such a big age gap can they be together? There is no devil next door only a savior. A sweet love story.

Adorable…these two were so cute. Colette lives with her overbearing parents that keep her under lock and key, sometimes literally. I really felt these two needed each other, and definitely were soulmates. She is sweet and innocent, and not one appreciates it, but is respectful of it.
Safe read, with age gap sweet people that can’t get enough of each other. Definitely soulmates…and they are total relationship goals. Epilogue, and a hea.
4.5 Stars Colette and Warrick's story was great. I really enjoyed the connection and chemistry between these two. Warrick moves in next to Collette and they are deeply drawn to each other. There is a wide age gap between Colette and Warrick but these two work so well together it just works for them. I really enjoyed this book and I would recommend it and Ms. Abby as a fantastic author.

I wasn't expecting this storyline that is for sure! But it was an amazing curveball that I loved!!
They were perfect together and when I sometimes don't understand how that big of an age gap works, 😳, it happens and more power to them. Love is love is love is love.
I'm just glad they got their hea and Knox gave them time to develop and the story had a plot line not just sex sex sex. That was also a good part of the book for me as well.
Colette has always been home schooled never being able to study what she wanted, her parents only want her preparing to be a wife. When her eyes look with the much older neighbor, neither will look away.
Warwick knows he is too old for her, but he cannot stay away. He has to make her his, he needs to keep her. This is spicy romance with a much older man.

I enjoyed this insta-love, May-December romance of Colette and Warrick. Warrick empowers Colette to break free of her parents overzealous tyranny. It turns out that Colette’s father is a hustler, embezzling the funds entrusted to him from his own parishioners for a building fund that never happened. One meeting led to the couple falling love and eventually getting married! This was short in length but huge on sweetness!
The author has given us a wonderful older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Warrick and Colette and does not let go. Colette has lived a very sheltered life, but when Warrick sees her, he wants to help her fly.

This one was fun. I didn't mind the age difference actually. Colette was actually pretty funny to me and I loved Warricks POV with his dirty thoughts when they meet. Her parent were crazy, as the story goes on we sort of find out why. Overall is has all the heat and fun I've come to expect from Abby.

I absolutely loved this book! Honestly it was very believable because I was also raised in a very strict family because of church! I’m so glad she was finally able to stand up for herself! No know from personal experience how freeing that actually is!!!! Way to go Abby Know!!!
This one was a bit too weird for me. I was waiting to read that she actually wasn’t their daughter, that she was kidnapped when she was just a child because that’s the only explanation for being locked up at home without any contact with the word.
And then her relationship with the neighbor gave me weird vibes. It’s just not for me this book.
New to the neighborhood, Warrick meets the sweet young thing next door. Sheltered by her extra weird parents, Colette is ready to rebel. Love happens no matter the differences.

I love age-gap books, and this one has a good plot. Colette had a boring life and under her father's rules. Warrick being 30 years older than her, helped her start living the life she really wanted. After some small problems they had their HEA. ❣️❣️❣️❣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
This was a short story I read in one sitting. I loved everything about this story. The storyline had a good flow, I loved that it was written in the first person point of view which is a deal breaker for me.
