I always had a soft spot for strong smart h character and the H that loved her just the way she was. Plus, I really liked how the book combined it with a falling-in-love-before-meeting kinda story. Sold!! This book really delivered that and more.
Our MCs fell for each other during their teenage years when they were playing an online game. Met online, without sharing any personal details (just hopes, dreams, and your usual day. That's all), they fell for each other. Never declared love for each other, they stayed true to each other for years. One twist of fate they met. The h instantly recognized the H, but the H didn't, since our h was using a fake British accent when online (a girl can't be too careful these days). The H fell for the (newly acquainted) American girl. Conflicted and feeling unfaithful to his crush, our H decided that he needed to make a move. ASAP. So what happened next?
I was intrigued by the plot. Then, I fell for the characters. Nerd couples alert!!! The h had a whole career in gaming development and was incredibly smart. She was also sweet, caring and loving especially with her brother. A trifecta in a character, actually. The H was also sweet, a family man, and respected a whole lot on our h. He never felt inferior to her accomplishment and at the same time, he could be sweet and protective of her. *sigh* The plot was clearly written, but with moderate steam.

Stryker started playing video games so he wasn't so focused on only academics, little did he know his other half would be found through a computer. Patience comes from wealth, however her parents treat her more like a thing to own versus their daughter, her love for computers and designing games leads to her finding her soulmate through a headset. I really enjoyed their story. I felt that there was just enough back story and it didn't overwhelm you with too much information overlap, it was a little anticlimactic with Mac, i was expected something else to happen with him. I'm excited to read Patience's brothers story next!

To be honest I was super excited when I read the write up on the book and while I did enjoy the book it was not at all like I was expecting, well written but not how I thought would go and just a little on the short side.

I wish I could give this book way more than 5 stars as it was just truly amazing! I LOVED Patience and Stryker so much it’s impossible to even put into words. Wish I could read this book for the first time all over again as it’s just so beautiful and wonderful!

A cute but short story. Patience and Stryker are video gamers and this is how they met. I enjoyed their connection but wish the story would have been a bit longer.
