Just like many of us, Candace Cotton is no stranger to pain and sorrow in her life. In a poignant compilation of mantras, poems, and reflections, Cotton lyrically explores the experiences of trauma and lost love to find hope, healing, and meaning. Though Cotton is candid about the depth of the heartache that inspired her writings, her collection also brims with resilience and hope that will both uplift and inspire others in their own journeys. While leading others on a path inward to heal from a variety of traumatic experiences, Cotton offers gentle guidance on how to articulate and express difficult emotions and process them with compassion while incorporating self-care into every day. Heal shares inspiring wisdom and philosophies through poems, mantras, and reflections that address pain, whether small or great, and encourage a journey of learning, healing, and survival.

I went from slowly gliding through the pages and then I couldn't put it down. I feel Candace and I share the same trauma, starting from the mother wound which was the trigger for many of the other traumas. I applaud your bravery for putting your wounds and scars on public display. Also, knowing the painful nature of doing shadow work, many of us would prefer to heal privately. However, your tweets, IG posts and this extremely insightful poetry book show how important it is to seek healing and pursue it. I love to read a novel, but writing this book in verse is like metaphorically taking a prescribed medication in small doses. The hurt is raw and real which makes the process more authentic, beautiful and meaningful. I don't generally re-read books but I will be taking this book with me on my journeys to sift through the pages and take my meds when required.

I enjoyed heal so much . It was definitely a page turner and very relatable. I love how the chapters started from the pain , the lessons, then ended with the solutions and the healing . I feel every person who is going through life should have a copy of this masterpiece.

Heal is one of the most influential books that everyone must read at least once. It has already sparked in me a drive to better myself, free of frivolous relationships and surrounded by phoney affections. Candace Cotton's words permeate an impulse upon you to embark on a whole new existence. You will shift from the old you to a newer one.

Candace Cotton has experienced grief and sadness in her life. Through this book, she lyrically explores the pain and lost love encounters to discover compassion, healing, and meaning in a moving collection of affirmations, poems, and thoughts. You will find it remarkable as it opens about the gravity of the heartbreak that inspired the works of the author. It offers gentle direction on how to define and express unpleasant emotions, process them with compassion, and incorporate self-care into everyday life while helping others on a route inward to heal from a range of traumatic situations. This collection of poems also trilbies with perseverance and optimism, which will elevate and empower others on their own paths.

The stunning cover was the first thing that drew me to this book. I was immediately impressed by how well crafted and arranged the chapters were when I first read the book. I spent my time engrossing various poems while reading the full book, which I adore. This has undoubtedly motivated me to repair my scars and prioritise my mental health.

The following lines mesmerized me:
"How could we have gotten to know each other when we didn’t even know ourselves?"

The intensity of these lines left an everlasting impression. It is not only relatable but also poignant in its own way. Candace did an outstanding job with this book. The profound quotes and the depths of emotional openness are my favorites. This book can be used as a roadmap to healing for those who have experienced catastrophic life-changing situations. It's an absolute must-have and will undoubtedly be suggested to others.

This book came to me at the perfect time. HEAL isn’t just about getting over pain—it’s about really sitting with it, learning from it, and coming out stronger. Candace’s words felt like talking to a wise friend who’s been through it and gets it.

There were so many moments where I had to pause and reread a line because it hit me so deeply. She doesn’t sugarcoat anything, but somehow still makes you feel hopeful. I appreciated how honest and down-to-earth her writing is—nothing felt forced or preachy.

If you’re going through something hard, or even just trying to make peace with your past, this book will speak to you. It’s not a miracle fix, but it’s a reminder that healing is possible, and that you’re not alone.

Highly recommend.

I have been following Candice on social media, and I am always extremely blessed by her soulful depth of knowledge in areas of healing and self-love. Her book Heal is a culmination of deep introspection and a renewal of a woman's heart from traumas of past relationships. The author vividly captures the effects of being in an unhealthy relationship to reclaiming her worth. She uses soulful poetry, affirmations, and powerful life nuggets that all women can relate to. This book is a candid and soulful look into the soul of a woman who requires healing. I will keep rereading this book, because of the many life lessons that are so eloquently expressed. You will never regret reading this beautiful collection.

This book was relatable for me in ways I didn’t know possible. It is filled with beautiful words and great reminders on what it means to heal and let go of the things that don’t serve you. I was deeply touched by this book and the sentiments behind it. Also a very lovely reminder to cherish what you have while you still have it. Thank you Candace.
