This book runs the gamut from starting out, renting a booth, opening your own salon, passive income, how to support talent, and much, much more. It is a primer on starting your own hairstyling business from inception to maturity. Solid business advice, chapters that are easy to follow and can be read according to what you need, and her firsthand experience makes this a must-read.
She concisely explains beauty and business terms, shares her successes and failures as well as inspires you to want to jump in and get your business started or take it to the next level. She recounts her start with doing hair for Hollywood types, how she got started, and how far she took it before she moved on to her own salon.
The author goes into enough detail to provide sufficient information for a solid foundation in the industry, tips she has used, and solid advice backed by her lived experience. She recounts successes and failures, mistakes and lessons learned, which makes her feel like a good friend showing you the ropes without any condescension.
This book reads like a resource manual that you would refer to again and again as you grow your beauty business and beyond.
