Search for the Black Box

Logan and Willow have... quite the... adventure... to go with their reunion. The story kept me engaged all the way through and I really enjoyed it - including the steamy reunion that required much practice to get just right. 🔥❤💥🎉

I really like how Logan slowly realizes the error of his ways, especially how his pick-up-and-leave-without-telling-anyone might actually leave those who care about him hurt and lost. I also like how he begins to occasionally ask for help.

As for Willow, she has the patience of a saint, especially with Logan and her questionably responsible brothers. I would not have been so understanding. 🤔😄

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators are CJ Bloom and Connor Crais. I've enjoyed several books that each has brought sound to and I was very happy to have them in my ears. I like CJ a lot but Connor? I love his voice. It melts me like butter.

An excellent addition to the scarred heart series. This story follows Logan and the reason he’s been keeping his distance from Willow and his close friends. His family drama is weighing down on him as he uncovers secrets that he doesn’t want to burden his friends with. Willow is heartbroken by the way Logan just left her without any words as to why he was gone. When Logan silently returns to retrieve an item, he still runs into Willow which fuels a lot of emotions between the two. I love the way Logan is protective of the ones he cares about and the way his friends has his back when he needs it. This is the third book in the series and a great addition. The author once again brings strong characters and an intriguing storyline. There's drama,suspense and secrets as well as the twists and romance. I loved the characters and reading their story. It's well written,moves quickly and smoothly and is a terrific read.

He left this time because his wicked uncle was about to be released from prison, but even on the road he couldn't escape. A love story with a thriller storyline, reading how Logan faces up to his past, his uncle and his potential future with Willow will keep you absorbed.

This book has suspense, mystery, drama, action, and plenty of steam between these main characters. I believe this is a standalone but also a part of a series. This is the first book I have read by this author. I want to read more and I recommend it to other readers.

S.M. West wove an intriguing story full of twists and turns that kept me on my toes! She's outdone herself with Logan and Willow's story! The characters were strong and so good together. Their chemistry sizzled and sparked. The storyline was suspenseful and interesting. This was a really great story and a perfect ending! Must read!

I hadn't read part of The Scarred Hearts series before but I already know that I want to read the previous 2 parts.

The way Logan and Willow's story is told seemed realistic to me. Logan is not a man with his fists ready but rather a man who finds himself in an unfortunate situation where the people around him are endangered.
His uncle, a bully, a criminal is after him and threatens to harm his friends if he does not hand over his deceased mother's necklace to him. His uncle is convinced that the necklace will lead him to the diamonds stolen by his father, Logan's grandfather. All Logan knows is that the necklace was given to him by his mother with the message that Clive should never have it. But now his uncle threatens to kill Willow if he doesn't give it to him.

What follows is an exciting story where Logan can get a second chance at love.
Willow comes across as a strong woman and the emotions described are real. It was nice to see Willow standing next to Logan, despite all the dangers.
Recommended.

This is a opposites attract romance and it is Logan and Willow's story. Logan (Nomad) and Willow have history but he walked away breaking her heart but what Willow didn't know is that Logan had to do it not only protect her but to also keep her and there friend's safe from a very dangerous man and that was Logan's uncle. Willow is stronger than people think she is and even though Logan walked away and disappeared leaving her hurting and devastated she is shocked that he has come back but she is determined to be there for him even though he broke her trust but danger is just around the corner waiting to strike but will they manage to deal with it and get out alive so that they can have a second chance of a future together and a happy ending or has too much time gone by for them to make it work only time will tell what the outcome will be for them all. Omg there are twists and turns along with danger, suspense, action, mystery, great chemistry, hope, love and some dangerous and emotional situations and this is what makes this book a real page turner that I couldn't put down and I definitely recommend you read it and you will not be disappointed.

4 Stars for these star-crossed lovers!

This is the 3rd book in the Scarred Hearts series ... and it is a great addition. I really liked Willow and Logan. But I got the feeling that Logan wasn't really into her at the beginning. And Willow .. trouble just seems to follow her. I really liked that the characters from the previous books are in this story and I can't wait for Griffin's story next.

Logan (Nomad) ghosted Willow. A month later, she comes home to find him in her living room. He takes off without a second thought to her feelings. All Willow knows is that she can't give him her heart, just so he can break it again. Logan took off a month ago, to protect Willow and his friends from his uncle who is getting out of prison. It's a family secret that has haunted his family for generations and he doesn't want his friends to find out. His uncle is after his mother's locket ... the locket that he hid in Willow's house. He just wanted to get in and out of town without any of his friends (and especially Willow) finding out. Once that failed, he's on to plan B.

Nomad, aka Logan, had left town and has been drifting through until he gets news that his left apartment has been on fire, but whilst the tenants are ok the fire was deliberate. Returning home brings bigger challenges because he left to protect others, especially Willow, and now this latest incident leaves them vulnerable.
Danger, violence and unrest is prominent. His uncle, Clive is determined to succeed and his threats should not be ignored. Fending him off involves others and nothing is safe. Willow's admirer seems to be more than meets the eye but seems to be involved in some way.. A lot is happening and it is hard to stay one step ahead; unless the riddle his mother left as a clue can be solved the past stays as it is and there will still be unanswered questions. The past rears its head in more ways than one, enough to derail and unless Logan can sort it out, destruction seems imminent.
The author continues to provide interesting and entertaining reading.

As with all of S.M. West’s books I’ve read so far, this book was amazing! I love the suspense and the secrets that keep me page turning and losing track of time!

Nomad relies only on himself. He up and leaves home, his girl Willow, and his friends without a word when danger cones lurking. He believes he’s doing everyone a favor and keeping them safe, as long as they’re away from him. But, it’s just not possible with this bully and the family secrets that threaten to pull everyone into the mess until he gets what he wants.

This book had some crazy twists & turns and there at the end I was really surprised by a few characters that were not who I thought they were! I love this series and recommend it to everyone! I do recommend starting with Kit & Prophet so you get to know some of the characters that follow through each book in the series, but they are standalone.

I really liked Willow! She was the uptight one in her go-with-the-flow type family. What she was dealing with as far as her renovation and her brothers would have driven me nuts, too! I liked that she didn’t immediately throw herself at Logan, especially after how he left.
I liked Logan, a lot, but the one thing that bugged me was that he realized that he was doing the same thing to Willow that his ex had done to him, which really hurt him, yet he was ready to do it all over again if Willow hadn’t been up as he was trying to leave! I get that it was to protect her, but he’d be hurting her all over again.
There was plenty of action and suspense to go along with the steam! I didn’t expect the little twist that actually helped to solve everything!
Now I can’t wait for Giffin’s story!

S.M West has delivered Another fantastic addition to what has so quickly become one of my go to series .Drama , suspense , secrets , off the charts chemistry, angst , emotionally charged moments , secrets , love , romance many twists and turns and two of the most heartfelt , likable and intriguing characters. Nomad is all that and more . By the time I got to the end up the first chapter I was 100% had hooked on the edge of my seat anticipating what was going to happen from one moment to the next , I genuinely cannot remember the last time I devoured a book so quickly . S.M West is not only one of my very favorite authors but she has this way of Knowing just how to grab Onto all your emotions and pull you right into the story . Nomad is unforgettable and unputdownable.

Nomad is the 3rd book in the scarred hearts series and Logan and Willow's story. It's a slow burn, second chance with lots of uncertainty, danger and mystery. Logan, Nomad, thinks he is doing the right thing by leaving town and bringing the trouble and harm of his uncle with him in order to protect Willow and his friends. Willow is devastated Logan left without a word but is moving on. When Logan comes back to town he tries to stay away, but just can't seem to keep his distance. This book was fast paced. There is plenty of heat between Logan and Willow but I feel like the danger and mystery part of this story overshadowed their love story a bit. Overall I enjoyed this book and am excited for Griffin!

I enjoyed reading this book. Logan, "Nomad", has been trying to stay away from his friends and Willow thinking he's protecting them from his evil uncle. He has to come back to town when his uncle is released from prison but finds out quickly just how bad he is. Willow was hurt by the way Logan left but now he's back and she's unsure how she feels about it. There is a lot of suspense with some unexpected twists that you will not see coming. Willow and Logan’s story was a good one. Logan feels the only way to keep his friends and family safe from his uncle is to leave town. After being ghosted by Logan the last thing willow expects is to go home and see him in her house that’s being remodeled. Logan had hoped to be able to get in and out of Willows house and town without being seen. And now that he’s been caught the truth behind his secrets start to slowly come out. This is full of drama and suspense. I look forward to the next book in the series.

From the start, it is clear that Logan aka NOMAD is in for some trying times. He’s had to make tough decisions to protect people like his ex-girlfriend Willow.

Because of what he is hiding, the book starts out making him seem like a kind of irresponsible guy, but as the story unfolds and as Willow becomes more involved, the mystery he is involved in because of his uncle becomes critical.

I haven’t read other books in the Scarred Hearts series but will after reading NOMAD.

I loved Logan and Willow's story, I loved the characters they were so perfect for each other, it showed how no matter how hard we try we can't always get it right. He left town to keep her safe but then brought danger back with him. The book is well written, the plotline is well thought out, it's intriguing and full of drama, action and suspense, as well as the many twists and turns I didn't see coming.

The connection and chemistry shared by Logan and Willow are well done, there's so much heat and palpable chemistry between them. I loved going along on their journey I was entranced and didn't want to put my Kindle down, I finished their story in a day everything else was forgotten.

Nomad by S.M West is a opposites attract romance that I listened to on audio narrated by C.J. Bloom and Connor Crais. This is the third book in the Scarred Hearts series and can be read as a standalone.

I loved the relationship that bloomed between Logan and Willow. Their relationship was a bit messy but you couldn't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

C.J. and Connor did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like opposites attract romances, second chance romances, contemporary romance, or romantic suspense.

Logan left his friends and his love Willow without explanation when his evil uncle who is in prison and is soon to be released. He thought it was the only way to protect them but soon finds out he was wrong when his uncle wants the locket that his mother gave him on her deathbed. The locket holds some secret numbers that Logan does not understand but it much be a big secret if his uncle is coming for it and anyone that stands in his way.

This is the third book in the Scarred Hearts, an interconnected standalone novels Series by S.M. West. The cover is beautiful. Logan and Willow's story is suspenseful, filled with mystery and intrigue. This is an amazing addition to the series. I loved to see the characters from the first books! I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to the audiobook version. I love this series, and I HIGHLY recommend it. I can't wait for Griffin's story!

Logan and Willow, they are a great couple. Lots of history lefts unresolved but comes back to the surface once he is back to town. She trying to fight the feelings, the pull she has towards him but she can’t when things start to get dangerous her is going to stop at nothing to keep her safe. They are so good for each other. She calls him all his bs and doesn’t let him get away with it. Through the crazy rollercoaster ride they go through they are stronger than every before and happier for it. They are meant to be together. Great story.

This is a great addition to the "Scarred Hearts" series and finally Logan, the nomad or wanderer, of the group has his story come to life. This one focuses on Willow and Logan. This is an intriguing story with a mix of suspense, danger, drama, passion and good twists. He left without a word leaving her to finally move on. Now he is back bringing danger with him. This is an emotional story that is fast paced and very addicting.

Second Chances are the best…. You never forget it’s like riding a Bike!

Nick has a past… can’t stay anywhere too long, doesn’t get involved. He thinks his past will rub off on people so he never gets attached to anyone, anywhere or anything….good thinking huh?
However the girl he left behind because of these self imposed rules comes back into his life and wow he just cannot stay away! He feels he should stay away to keep her safe from his crap, but he cant stay away. Can Nick fix any problems if they start affecting the girl he really wants to keep?

An evil uncle, a family legend of a diamond heist and a scavenger hunt of epic proportions! But with his friends and girlfriend being threatened by his recently released from prison uncle, Logan is going to have his work cut out for him if he’s going to keep everyone safe.
Loved the action and characters in this book and looking forward to Grffin’s book next.
