Sprung Like Spring #3

The Sound of You Overreacting

Rate this book
A Falling For the Nanny MPreg

I'm too old for this...

At forty-seven, I'm too old to be saddled with a toddler, no matter how stinkin' cute he is, though if anyone tried to take him away, I'd commit murder. And I'm definitely too old to be staring longingly at anyone like a lovesick moron, but especially the twenty-three, about to turn twenty-four-year-old nanny I've somehow acquired to take care of him. Every little thing he does no matter how innocent, sends my mind into overdrive, and I have to run off to my friends to question if I'm overreacting or not. Like, was he just flirting with me, or am I completely reading the situation wrong, and on the off chance that he was actually insinuating what I think he was insinuating, should I run? I should probably run, right? I don't know what the hell to do with a twenty-four-year-old!

If there was ever a more ridiculous, clueless... and utterly adorable alpha in the whole world, I've never met him. Frost just turns me to goo, even without the help of his unbelievably adorable nephew. And good grief is the man stunningly gorgeous. He's older, and I know that bothers him, and if I was a different person, I would probably leave it alone, but he's too damn tempting, and a member of the Felton-Waldon-Hester family wouldn't dream of letting something they wanted get away that easily.

The Sound of You Overreacting is book three in my new lighthearted, Omegaverse Sprung Like Spring novella series. The series can be read as standalones, but there are overlapping characters, so it would be a lot more fun to read in order. There will be fluff, humor and probably some pining, so sit back, relax and take a break from the horrors of reality!

This was definitely my favorite book in this series so far. I just really love the mcs. Especially Frost. Gosh that man is so freakin cute and adorable and I love his overthinking and clumsy-ness.
But Riker is a great character too. I love that he knows what he wants and that he is actually talking with Frost, even thought Frost doesn’t always get it.
Casey was cute too but we didn’t read about him too much.
Besides that I also liked that we get to know Casey’s dad. I just wish their would have been more interaction with.
In general I have to say for this book I would have liked to read much more. Still I enjoyed this a lot and gosh this was really funny. There were so many moments I had to laugh out loud.

Frost and Riker

I absolutely loved how Frost went to Avery and Archer for everything even though Archer was not having it. Frost was endearing yet oblivious and without Riker, he would have wondered through life completely obvious of everything. Such a cute and sweet story in this series.

I am having so much fun with these!

I adore Frost. I love how the author isn’t sticking to stereotypes with any of these guys. I can’t wait to get to know Murphy and Fisher.

The Sound of You Overreacting is the third book in the Sprung Like Spring series by JD Light. It is a Falling For the Nanny story with an adorably clueless Alpha, a flirty but competent onega, and a sqeet but precocious toddler. Oh yeah... and a surprise mpreg. So much fun and sweetness!

This is the third book in this series and hadn't even planned on reading it, but I couldn't think of a better book to read after the one finished yesterday and left a ugh feeling in me.

Riker is twenty-four and Frost is Forty-two (I think, he's forty something). They like each other, but Frost keeps running to Avery about everything which gets on all their nerves especially Archer who is Riker's older cousin. Riker is Frost's nanny to Casey who is two months shy of being 2. That little boy melted my heart and I wanted more time with him. Finally one night things happen that honestly how started was funny because the bathroom scene comment I laughed so hard on. However, Riker went after Frost and they finally got it on.

Though it took Frost time to come to terms with things because he kept being worried about the age difference. By the end of the book they had dealt with that and of course this is Mpreg and had a marriage proposal.

The bathroom scene wasn't the only part I laughed on because the time they spent at the zoo was so funny and cute as well. I needed the laughter after the last two days.

Was this satire?

I scrolled through this in maybe 20 minutes. I've loved what I've read so far from this author so when I say that I hate this, I mean it. WTF? The characters & scenes that were meant to be funny definitely were not. I skimmed it & did not miss anything because there was no depth or actual story here. It's repetitive in themes from the other books in the series in a way that almost seems to be mocking those books. It breezed right through all these plot points the author obviously had planned without providing anything of interest to actually stop & read. The cameos by characters from the other books is the other books is so contrived. Maybe the goal of this one was to get an overreaction from readers. If so, congrats! I loathed it. If not, maybe pump the brakes. I see that there are tons of books by this author & I hope that that's lucrative for them, but I prefer quality over quantity & this entry needed more effort.

Falling for the much younger nanny is ok, right?

What a great addition to this series. Old friends, and crazy family are back. There are strong, fierce omegas, unconventional alphas, and a precocious little boy. What's not to love!
Frost is caring for his nephew. He is mostly clueless, relying on advice from Avery & Archer. His new nanny, Riker, is over twenty years younger, and Archer's cousin. But the attraction between Frost & Riker is immediate and inevitable.
Come. Watch Frost and Riker grow as a couple. Laugh as they try to wrangle an overactive toddler who is too smart, and is a potty mouth. Be astounded by Riker & Archer's boisterous family. You will love this book.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.

While Riker and Frost were introduced in Avery and Archer's book, you get a real sense of Frost's reasons he doesn't want to get involved with Riker, although everything inside him steers them together. Add a toddler to the situation adds a bit of ridiculousness to the situation. Riker is patient, until he confronts Frost because each time they are in the same room and have a conversation, he runs over to Avery and Archer's house next door for advice. When Frost relaxes enough and gives Riker a chance, they are perfect for each other. Another great book in the series!!

It absolutely amazes me how many grammatical errors can be made in just 64 pages... and trust me when I say that I was expecting a lot of them... *headdesk* ;p

AND... it absolutely amazes me that an author can manage to use the phrase "licked my teeth" eight times in just 64 pages! Now I am going around the house, doing odd little chores counting how many times I lick my teeth... *headdesk* LOL!!!

As for Frost and Riker? Let's be honest, no matter how adorable they were together... Casey stole the show! *grin*

Single dad falling for their nanny/manny is a staple in romance fiction. In this book, JD Light puts her own spin on it. The alpha is clueless and nearly twice the omega manny's age. The omega is calm, collected. A perfect caregiver. And when he doesn't want to strangle his oblivious alpha, all he wants is to cuddle and love on him.
Another sweet romp of a romance. Riker and Frost deserve their HEA. Even if it includes a potty mouthed toddler.

This book was cute and I liked it but the errors and lack of editing killed the flow so bad! I mean when Frost’s brother comes to visit he’s started by being called Binj several times and then switches to Benj after awhile and that’s how it stays... any proofreader or editor who misses something that glaring should probably hang it up 🤷🏻‍♀️

Love this family!

Poor Frost is so clueless it makes one wonder how little Casey survived before Riker became his manny! They are perfect for each other. I loved how Riker handled meeting Casey's dad and being able to see his side of things. The humor throughout these books has made me LOL more than once as they tend to remind me of my own large and insane family.

Yep, still enjoying this series!

Frost could be so clueless, but sexy too. Riker, just like the rest of his family, got straight to the point and Frost never knew what hit him. Love this book. This family is hilarious 😂😂. Great series!!

Ask Avery: unclear uncle and the persistence of youth

Fluffy age-gap Omegaverse nanny m-m romance

Just ask Avery: another fluffy Omegaverse novelette with a strong headed Omega and an Alpha who can’t resist his nephew’s nanny’s charms. Frost as the clueless, overly careful, older Alpha was fun, running to Avery, and the “precocious” River (not a kid, damnit!) a nice, fun foil.

I’m not usually one for age-gap romances but Frost was so freaking hilarious I couldn’t help but love him. Poor Riker has his hands full with that one. I swear I laughed through almost the entire book.

This title is absolutely perfect for Frost's behavior. Bro can barely have a conversation with Riker before he's next door dissecting it because he just needs to make sure he's wrong/really secretly hopes/is terrified that maybe Riker is flirting with him.

It's refreshing to see an old alpha behave like that because Frost is so clueless with overreacting thought and innocent vibe around him. Frost interactions with Rike is so amusing and Rike's jealousy toward Avery is so funny.

Frost is adorable!

Frost has to be the most adorable Alpha (well Avery is too). Riker is one tough and funny Omega. I really enjoyed their story.

The Ending!

This series is just so funny. We have a cussing toddler that's just cute as ever. A alpha that's just plan clueless. The ending of this book, is the best part of it.
