Wizard Allen grows up in an abandoned, sentient library learning spells and history after his parents are devoured by a timereaper, until wizards from the Tower of Time find and train him. He’s determined to find and destroy the timereaper, and return the temporal branches and lives destroyed by the fearsome beast.
He plots the necessary steps and chooses knights from different worlds to assist him, including an assassin, a dragonrider, and a wizard-priest with secrets of her own who will bring him more trouble and benefit than he could predict.
With his dedicated companions, he begins a series of misadventures and unexpected twists to follow and confront the timereaper, and faces the monster on his own far from his home or companions.
