Volume II of this Book continues with the Illustrations of Icons representing Ten major feasts of the Church which are related to life and works of Jesus (the washing of the Disciples feet, the Mystical Supper, Christ healing the Paralytic and the Blind Man, Christ conversing with the Samaritan Woman), of Mary the Mother of God or Theotokos (her Nativity, her entry into the Temple), and two historical events (the Elevation of the Precious Cross and the restoration of the Holy Icons). The second Chapter explains how and why the Trinity is represented in Icons, the six different types of representing the Theotokos with Jesus as child. Finally, the other chapters present the icon types of St John the Baptist and of the Angels.

This Book opens your eyes and your mind to know about the rich and colorful sacred art of the Icons which provide both the reality and symbolism of the Christian faith.
