She welcomes everyone to read her newest Unnatural Mates series. Escape the normal world for a bit. Maybe you'll lose yourself to something extraordinary...
Honestly I wasn't really feeling this couple. I understand Kelly grew up with her father hating after her mother's death but her constant need and desperation for love was annoying. She literally admitted that she let people take advantage of her. Kelly needed counseling not a mate.
Sebastian has been holding a 700 year grudge against humans for something they weren't responsible for. What I didn't understand is this; Sebastian was an Alpha Werewolf. A supernatural being who was loyal to a fault and was deceived by a "Human" so easily and he never once in the 700 years of his hatred ever consider the possibility that he wasn't dealing with a human all those centuries ago. Sebastian wasn't too bright.
This couple was so confusing and annoying. Communication was terrible. Sebastian kept keeping secrets. Kelly kept whining about her pathetic attempt of proving she's worthy of Love. It was just ridiculous. Never once did she think about her boyfriend Curt in a good way. Always thought of him negatively because of their relationship that she admitted to letting him take advantage of her. Never once was she worried about his safety.
Now the person I did feel sorry for although he was a Grade A A-Hole was Kelly's boyfriend Curt. Curt didn't even want to go on the mountain trip to Pennsylvania but did it to appease Kelly. Kelly lied about her reason for wanting to go and unfortunately Curt was the one to pay the price.
When Kelly was abducted by Sebastian; Curt remained in the area for over a week trying to find Kelly. Instead Sebastian's past was the cause of Curt's demise. The true victim in this story was Curt because he's the one who lost his life over Kelly's bullsh*t trip spurred by a psychic who told her that her destiny would be found in the mountains.
The only redeeming quality of this story were Lance, Annabelle and even Antonio. If there is another book to continue this storyline I hope it features Antonio getting a second chance Mate. I believe he learned his lesson from his first failed attempt.
This is a new author to me & I was pleasantly surprised at how well this extremely fascinating shifter romance was written. The plot has good world building & is entertaining with some completely unexpected situations that are well described. The characters are perfectly flawed to a certain extent & are at times quite unpredictable. The secondary characters play good supporting roles. It is about: a human female (Kelly Triplehorn) was visiting the Appalachian mountains in Pennsylvania with her very dissatisfied boyfriend (Curt Rodgers) when they were confronted by a apparently crazy man (Sebastian Payne) who promptly abducts her and from here the story becomes exceptionally interesting. There is: werewolves, vampires, humans, drama, intrigue, suspense, secrets, magic/sorcery, adventure, action, twists & turns, abduction, memories, hatred, distrust, escape attempts, frustration, vulnerability, defiance, disagreements, threats, danger, vengeful feelings, manipulations, compromises, love, steamy scenes & a delightful conclusion.
This is the book I've been waiting for and did not know I was missing! The first chapter, the heroine annoyed me a little, but as I read I loved her more. Both characters grow and change while at the same time so does their relationship, which left me eagerly turning pages to see what happened next! Super story.

Tammy O'Reilly is a new author for me and I really liked this story and concept. One of my favorite tropes is enemies-to-lovers and this story fell into that theme nicely.
Kelly had a psychic reading once and she was told that her destiny was waiting for her in the green mountains. She's traveled to many green mountains and has yet to have her mysterious destiny come to pass. So, she heads off, dragging her reluctant boyfriend along, to the last green mountains she can think of, the Pennsylvanian Appalachian Mountains. It appears as though these mountains are a dead end as well until a raging beast of a man charges into the diner they're eating at, incapacitates her boyfriend and kidnaps her!
Sebastian has been waiting for his mate for hundreds of years and now that he finally has her, he's enraged that she's a human. He hates humans due to something that happened in his past. He can't let it go, but he can't let her go either! I enjoyed the conflict, the heat, the world building and the side characters introduced. I look forward to more from this author. Well done!

Kelly Triplehorn was on vacation in the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania with her grouchy boyfriend who did not want to be here. She didn’t tell him they were here because years ago a psychic told her that her destiny is hidden and waiting for her in the green mountains. She still felt unfulfilled and it almost felt like the mountains were still calling to her. But he would never understand. They would return to Miami the next day. Apparently her destiny was not here after all.
They stop in a roadside restaurant/bar where she is kidnapped by a tall, rage-filled, rugged-looking man with white hair. She could not stop staring at him. He pointed and growled that she was coming with him. Curt stood in front of her, but it was obvious he did not believe her when she claimed she didn’t know this guy. The man flung Curt away and he landed unconscious on the floor. Then he picked Kelly up and threw her over his shoulder.
For an unknown reason, he seems to hate her, although she is sure they had never met before. Sebastian Payne had scented his mate, the one he had waited 800 years to find, and he is not happy that she is a weak, treacherous human. He has been badly hurt in the past by trusting a human. It had cost him his family’s lives. So he hates her because she is one of them, but he can’t get her out of his mind because she is his fated mate. How could he stop wanting her? The Fates chose her for him. He would never cause her harm. But what could he do? Would he lock her away? Because letting her go was impossible.
H- Sebastian Payne- Alpha of the Payne Clan h-Kelly Triplehorn- Human Mate I took a point of for not having a POV between the characters & also the grammar! Sometimes those things can really disconnect the story! So we meet Kelly vacationing with her boyfriend Curt in PA. She was told many years ago by a Psychic that said “What she was missing was hiding within green mountains”. So this is the last chance she got to see if she can make that a reality. But what actually ends up happening is that Curt hates the mountains in PA and now he feels they have wasted their vacation on a boring run down place. On the last day of their vacation they were on a pud when this huge man beast came and pretty much kidnapped her infront of everyone including Curt who ended up being flung across the room by the man beast. She tries to get away but he is too strong for her. He takes her to his castle where approx 50 other people live there. She meets Annabelle who is a vampire and Lance(werewolf) who is Annabelle's mate. She learns a lot of things but she doesn't know why she is there and why the man beast needs her in his life. Sebastian needs to convince his mate to stay with him but is becoming harder and harder when everytime he feels he is 2 steps ahead he ends up being 5 steps behind. I didn’t like the constant childish banter between them two BUT overall is not a bad story at all! A little long BUT since the story is Entertaining it didn’t seem long at all! 🥰
Kelly and her boyfriend are in the mountains of Pennsylvania on a vacation. Her boyfriend is done with the trip and ready to go home. Kelly didn't tell him that she planned their trip there because of what I psychic told her years before. They were at a bar when a stranger showed up and snatched Kelly away. Kelly had no clue what was happening and tried many times to get away. Soon she settled down and listened to what the others had to say. Sebastian had waited for years to find his mate and was stunned to see that she was human. However, that didn't stop him from taking her from the bar and home with him. He just didn't know how to talk to her and convince her what she was to him. Will Kelly finally see that Sebastian is what she's been looking for? Can they protect Kelly from the danger coming?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Great new series from a new author. Kelly finds herself in Pennsylvania trying to find the missing piece. She doesn't know what it is, but here she is about to go back to Fl, not having found it. Next thing she knows, in comes this BUILT guy and he kidnaps her for lacking of a better word. Just BOOM, walks in, and takes off with her.
Through many wonderful chapters, we learn more about our MMC and what torment he has put himself through for MANY years. We learn what has brought Kelly to this place in her life, and how she too lives with her own demons.
I loved this book, I read it in less than 24 hours actually (with sleep happening too). I truly can't wait for book 2 of the Unnatural Mates series to come out, tho Book 1 just came out... :)
Our heroine was a bit confusing to me. She see-sawed between wanting the hero and not wanting him. To accepting her place and fate to not. True she didn't have all the information but she knew it was being withheld and seemed fine with that until it she found out what was being hid from her. Then she gets all upset. I'm confused as to why? She knew everyone was withholding the truth. She knew there was a wolf besides our hero that knew the truth and she could get the info out of, yet she didn't. Not sure why she got all butt hurt after everything came out....
Overall though this was a pretty good read. Some hot scenes but mostly it's drama and a villain thrown in. Glad I bought the book as it will be a good reread.
I received this as an ARC. I really enjoyed this book. It starts with a bang as the MFC is captured by a man she has never seen before right out of a bar. The MMC recognized her as his fated mate and is less then thrilled about it. The h is smart and strong and works hard to understand her situation. Our H needs to learn some communication skills. Of course if he explained everything there wouldn’t be as much conflict or suspense. If you are a reader that likes HEA’s and no cliffhangers this is a good book for you. I don’t like spoilers so you need to read the whole story yourself. I read it in a day!
I was actually looking forward to reading this story. Once available I did just that. I think the Story Has potential but seems more of a beginner's draft. The Characters are good, and the World built is good. I feel it needs more and a bit of a better flow. I also find that the point of view, whether it be Kelly's or Sabastians, etc., needs a bit more fine-tuning for example at times it's written in the first person and in the second or third person. I would like to read a copy of this if the authour decides to publish a more Edited version. Tammy O Reilly, You have something good here I feel it just needs a bit more to make it flow better.
Interesting plot points, less interestingly executed
In a world of vampires, werewolves and sorceresses, this is a romance between a human and a werewolf alpha with a happy ending. With some careful editing, this story would be more interesting if some of the repetitive ideas, for example thoughts of the main characters, were omitted. I felt the tension in the storytelling suffered because of it. Overall, the narration is clear and readers quickly grasp the environment in which the characters move, in spite of some language errors. I like that this story introduces new viewpoints of fantasy fiction lore.

What a great read! This book has some of my favorite tropes. Enemies to lovers, a slow burn romance with the perfect level of steam. Kelly Triplehorn is our main female character who knows she is missing that “something” in her life. Her job is lack luster, her Dad basically non-existent, and her boyfriend manipulative and unkind. She seems to have lost her sense of self. She is told by a fortune teller that she will find her destiny in the green mountains. So off she goes in search of her destiny. The main male character is sexy werewolf Sebastian Payne, who, to his dismay, discovers his mate in Kelly, a human who is vacationing in the Appalachian mountains in Pennsylvania. Sebastian has a deep mistrust and hatred for humans due to a very painful life experience hundreds of years earlier. Nevertheless, he just snatches her from her boyfriend, and off they go. The secondary characters were great, and enjoyable. With many bumps in the road we watch both Sebastian and Kelly grow to be friends, and then, of course, more. Throughout it all Kelly becomes more self confident and a stronger person. She found what she was looking for in those green mountains. She found herself. Highly recommend this book, and looking forward to more from this new author.
Reviewed in the United States on March 18, 2022 Kelly and the Payne ( Sebastian Payne that is), get off to a very rocky start, that only gets worse as his past haunts their future. Payne doth protest to make ch about hating Kelly and has to decide whether he loves or hates her enough to save her. 3.5⭐️s, but I give it 4 as Amazon has no half point ratings and it deserves more than a 3⭐️rating. This book was a unique and very welcome change to the normal supernatural wolfshifter books. I really enjoyed the added twist added to the book in the form of Claudette. I loved how it was human ingenuity that dealt with it and not supernatural strength etc. my only complaint is that the end was sort of squished into a few pages even though it took 99% of the book to get to that point. However I still totally loved this book, can’t wait to read the next one and absolutely recommend this book. I did want to bash Sebastian a few times and knock some sense into him.
Immortals/unnatural or what we call the paranormal. The FMC finds herself a prisoner of an alpha who refuses to leave his pack. She's unsure why until close to the end. She does know his hatred for humans and doesn't know why until the end. She befriends a vampire. But even she won't give her the answer she needs. The FMC and the MC have to learn about each other and get to know one another. Not just for him not just for her but for the entire pack.

A great start to this new series Unnatural Mates. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to read the next book. The story pulls you in and keeps you interested to see what will happen next with Sebastian and Kelly. Sebastian is a werewolves and is looking for his fated mate. When he finds in in Kelly, he is thrown into turmoil and she is human and he hates humans. Will they succumb to their feeling or not? A enjoyable read.
I just couldn’t put this book down. I loved the characters even though the leading man was broody. I smiled with the characters and was really down when they were. I was there in the book/clan with them. Can’t wait to read more books from this author. I received this book as an ARC and give this review freely.

This is my first time reading from author Tammy O'REILLY. I must say that she has a way with her words. I was hooked from the very beginning to the very end. Kelly and Sebastian where made for each other. Their love story goes through h**l and back. But does love conquer all. Do the fates lie? You must read this book to find out all the answers .
The first book in the Unnatural Mates series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Kelly Triplehorn a human kidnapped by Sebastian Payne, she is his Mate. The story has suspense, drama, danger, a villain and romance. The story is well written and well worth reading. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Hell hath no fury like a woman lied to Alpha males may need lessons on listening and ths alpha male need an entire library of lessons if he is ever going to win over his mate. Acharing story of a meek womans awakening and an alpha males schooling ( but the what do you expect from an 800 year old male ? ) The first of a series but no cliff hanger
Very well written for a first time author, I presume. Super soft on mating and bonding to be honest. I'm a bit confused about the wolf thing, nobody turned or talked about shifting only that on full moon the animal takes over but our H was in human form and talking just his "animal" side was more prominent. Will definitely read another one, I fully enjoyed it!
Just wow. While Kelly seemed a bit annoying, I warmed up to her. Sebastian, on the other hand, was exactly what the doctor ordered. Great storyline, although the lre was one scene that reminded me of Twilight (post coitus). I really enjoyed this book; it's pace, characters, setting, background building, and overall story. Thank you.
Paranormal, aliens, hot male bossiness and even hotter love - my favorite genre and Tammy O'Reilly didn't disappoint. Kidnapping, male alpha, adventure, emotional journey - it's all there in spades. Recommended read.
This is a great read that I found captivating. I love the characters within and the plot. If you enjoy shape-shifters then this is the book for you. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
