Soul Purpose invites you to awaken to your authentic truth.
Despite the subtleties of our stories, we are all on a journey of self-discovery. To awaken is to know, and in our knowing, there is a heightened consciousness of who we are in all our authenticity. Our quest to transcend the self, evokes our longing to be a part of something bigger and fuels our passion to evolve. The truth is the arc of our lives is always pointing toward awakening.
Our stories matter. Yours and mine alike. Our intimate and raw truths bear the tender scars of each and every experience we have endured. It is vital that we continue to tell our stories, even when doing so feels unbearable. Giving voice to our truth is the only way remember out humanity, and the truth that we are not alone.
I enjoyed reading Cheryl’s book after meeting her on a bicycle ride in Florida. Her journeys and struggles along her path to becoming an ordained clergy woman were inspiring. She stayed true to herself and found her soul purpose!
This book sadly suffered from poor proofreading, with many misspelled words, improper tenses, missing words, font size changes, etc. I have habit of proofreading books and marking them up when I see numerous errors. Those mistakes really detracted from her amazing life story and how she deepened her faith and found her true passion.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I could relate to many of Rev. Swing’s struggles on her journey to authentic living.
I’ve trodden a very similar path in working to reconcile orientation with faith throughout my life.
The only criticism I have is in relation to proofing there are so many malapropisms that they became distracting. I still found much to take away from the book, though.
