"A well written and addictive haunting that has twists and turns, and keeps you on your toes guessing what is to happen next as Cain and Sammy fall for one another. In “Host of a Promise” Ava discovers that she has inherited her aunt’s house if she can solve the mystery of a person who mysteriously disappeared centuries ago with proof. The house will otherwise go to the local historical society who wants it. Ava doesn’t know what to do but decides that the ghosts in the house may have be able to help her. She decides to call Phantoms a tv ghost hunter show. They agree to come and not put it on tv. Will they be able to solve the mystery? In the second book “Give Up the Ghost,” Paul and Kerry (of the Phantoms team) end up realizing that “to find love is to face death.” The last book of the trilogy “Ghost of You” Sammy (of Phantoms team) hates psychologist Cain but must work with him or else according to the networks — her boss. They must face an evil that they were not expecting.
The author has written an excellent trilogy of ghost hunting and romance in each book. The author writes the characters with feeling and personality. The three books never bored me. I liked the paranormal activity in each story. It was a page turner for me.
Disclaimer: I received an arc of this book from the author/publisher from Netgalley. I wasn’t obligated to write a favorable review or any review at all. The opinions expressed are strictly my own.
A sincere thank you to NetGalley and Kelly Moran for giving me the opportunity to read the ARC of the Phantoms Trilogy in exchange for an honest review. I was thrilled to find out that this series combined two of my favorite pastimes, reading and watching paranormal TV.
The first book, "Ghost of a Promise", immediately captured my interest and I couldn't wait to read the rest of the trilogy to find out what would happen to the other cast members. Each of the three books follows a different mystery that needs to be solved, which kept my attention throughout.
One of the things I enjoyed the most about the trilogy was the romantic angle, which was well developed and added depth to the plot. I also appreciated how the author weaved paranormal investigations into the story, providing a behind-the-scenes look at shows like Ghost Hunters or Destination Fear. The inclusion of just the right amount of creepiness kept me on edge, wondering what would happen next.
Overall, I highly recommend the Phantoms Trilogy to anyone who enjoys a good paranormal mystery with a touch of romance. These books have just the right amount of spice to keep readers engaged and wanting more. Once again, thank you to NetGalley and Kelly Moran for allowing me to read and review this amazing series.
