An alternative cover edition for this ASIN can be found here and here.

A hell hound and a fae “princess” were never meant to be. Their love was forbidden.

Declan MacConall can barely keep his hound in check when Rowan McNeely is around. She’s beautiful, smart, devastatingly sexy. . .and also completely off limits. As a hell hound from the outskirts of town, Declan would never live up to the high standards of Rowan’s family, especially after he hit rock bottom following the murder of his parents.

Rowan McNeely has spent her entire life doing exactly what her parents ask of her. She’s a part of the highest class of fae society and as such, is expected to be the perfect wife to the husband of her parents’ choosing.

Then she’s assigned to be Declan’s nurse. Her father would have a coronary if he knew she were associating with a ‘dog’ but the more she gets to know Declan, the more she starts to question everything she thought she knew.

As things begin to heat up between them, an old enemy that's plagued the fae for centuries arrives in town and puts Rowan in their sights. Declan can’t keep his hound leashed any longer. He must set aside his old wounds and find the strength to fight for the only woman who could ever make him whole again.

USA Today bestselling author A.S. Green lives in chilly Minnesota and spends the all-too-short summers on Lake Superior, which is the muse for her paranormal and contemporary romances. She writes complex characters, action-packed plots, and snarky in-your-face banter. And, of course, loads of steamy love scenes.

When she's not writing romance, she's probably watching Outlander or pleading (unsuccessfully) with her husband to don the kilt she bought him last summer.

Declan did nothing to hide his blatant desire for her, and his unflinching honesty made her feel powerful. He didn't just want her as some kind of prize—a daoine princess. She was his anamachara. Not a prize to be won, but the one female he would always prize above all others.

5+ stars! Fantastic hero, an uncertain heroine, and a sexy story!

Even though I really enjoyed Mac's story in book one, I LOVED Declan's story even more!! His sense of humor was self-deprecating, dry, flirty and kinda dirty, and it was exactly my cup of tea. His romance with Rowan was as star-crossed as you can get and as a result there was plenty of lusting from afar and hurt feelings. But once they finally admitted their attraction for one another, the combustion between Declan and Rowan was palpable and seriously HOT. There was also plenty of danger to keep things interesting, and the setup for book three left me ready for the finale! I'd recommend this novel to readers who enjoy sexy shifter stories filled with Irish lore, protective heroes, a forbidden-romance trope, and yummy Irish accents.

Tropes: fated mates, forbidden love, tortured hero, innocent heroine, forced proximity, touch her and die, workplace romance, no-strings attached, class difference, mutual pining, slow burn, opposites attract, STEAMY🔥

My Declan, rocking glasses, an Irish accent to die for, and his penchant dry humor.. :)

Redemption, destiny and a thickening plot

Hell Hound’s Redemption by A.S. Green is the second book in the Fae of the North Shore series. The story continues and the plot thickens in this book. While not necessary that one read the 1st book, I enjoyed it a great deal, you might too.
In this book, the characters are well developed with emotional depth, interesting and engaging. I was immediately drawn into Declan and Rowan’s story; they seem to be quite opposite, yet perfect for each other. The tension creates lots of sparks and chemistry.
Hell Hound’s Redemption takes the reader through various suspenseful events that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I couldn’t wait to keep the pages turning whether it was a scene playing out or dialogue.
Overall a well written book, steamy chemistry, a much deserved HEA for Declan and Rowan and a lead in to Book 3.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

We met Declan and Rowan in Book 1. Declan is a recovering addict, and Rowan is his nurse. Declan lost his parents and his younger brother years ago, and his oldest brother left to avenge their deaths. This took a toll on Declan, and he turned to drugs. Rowan has been his nurse, and she is tasked with spending a weekend with him, while they wean him off of the meds he has been taking under supervision to help him recover from his addiction. His oldest brother is getting married, so everyone else will be at the wedding. Declan didn't want to go because he needs to stay home since it's also the anniversary of his parents tragic death. He knows that he is in love with Rowan, and that Rowan is his anamchara. However, he also knows that he is Cui Sidhe, and Rowan is Daoine Sidhe, and Rowan's father would never allow their courtship or relationship. Rowan normally listens to her dad, but will she defy him to be able to be with her true love? There are so many twists and turns in this, and it kept me riveted and reading so that I finished this in one sitting. I am enjoying leaning more about the shifters, and all of the clans. I am now looking forward to the next book in this series, and will read all of them, since I enjoyed the first two so very much. I was skeptical of the first one, but became entranced, and I hope you will give this series a chance - you may find yourself enjoying a genre you never thought you would.

Guarded is the second book of the Fae Hell Hound series and it is just as good as the first. This story continues now with Declan and Rowan's story. The characters and the storyline was will written and engaging and kept my interest as well as the family drama, twists, mistakes and emotional turmoil created tension for the couple.
Declan and Rowan are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot.

This is the second book in this series and I do believe it was even better than the first book "Hounded"

This is Declan and Rowan's story. They have known one another for quite a few years and always fought their attraction to one another after all the Rowan's Fae family think they are to good for Declan's Fae Hell hound family. He was hurt as a child and consequently has trouble trusting but when he has to trust Rowan to help him ween himself of drugs he may finally have a reason to trust but will the fact that she is his mate make it all too hard. There will be plenty of drama and suspense as danger lurks and family turmoil ensues

This is book 2 to the Fae Hell Hound’s Fated Mate’s and this is Declan’s and Rowan’s story. Rowan’s family is the elite of the Fae and she has always done what her parents wanted her to do including marry a Fae of her parents choosing. When Declan is wounded Rowan’s is sent to look after him and if her parents knew that she was looking after a lower class dog well let’s just say that they wouldn’t be happy. Declan and Rowan finally give into their attraction but are they able to get past all of the prejudices that will be coming their way. This is such a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I loved this book just as much as i did the first one in the series. The MacConall brothers are great characters whose lives have not been easy from an early age but they continue to fight to protect those they love.
Declans story is wonderful. I love the depth of detail that has been added to suck you into this world.
Cant wait for the next one to come out!!!
Highly recommended!

The Hell Hound and his Fae Princess
Declan MacConall, is a recovering addict. The murder of his parents, the death of his baby brother and the abandonment by his oldest brother took it's toll. Carmac is home and he has brought his anamchara, soul mate, with him. While he is happy for his brother, happy he is home, and loves Meghan, he knows he will never have what they have. He found his anamchara, 2 years ago, and she is out of his reach.
Rowan McNeely is of the daoine sidhe. A nurse, she has provided home care for Declan MacConall. She can't get him off her mind. As much as she wants more she know it can never be. he is Cu sidhe and she is Daoine sidhe. She is not his anamchara and the daoine don't have fated mates. His clan was at one time in servitude to hers. Many of her people look down on the Cu. She is destined to marry a Daoine who has been approved by her father.
Rowan and Declan are thrown together for a weekend, when his Doctor decides to wean him off his medications. The weekend is the anniversary of their parents death. Carmac and Meghan are getting married, wanting to attach something good to the day and Aiden will be their witness. Declan needs peace. Rowan takes on the responsibility of watching over Declan and implementing his treatment.
When the Black Castle seem to be targeting them, Declan, can no longer deny who Rowan is to him. His need to protect and claim her is to strong. His recklessness makes Rowan nervous. When a council meeting is called, she is unsure where she stands. Then her father and the male her father hopes she will choose goes missing and she blames Declan. Declan and his brothers will do call they can to find him. Rowan sees who and what the Cu, the MacConall brothers really are. She has a voice with them, what she wants, feels, matter to them and in Meghan she finds a true friend.
Fast paced, and steamy. Loved Declan and Rowan's story. Looking forward to Branna and Aiden.

This is the second book in the series and the second book of Ms. Green's that I have read. I really appreciate that in the beginning of each book in the series, she includes a Map of the North Shore as well as a Glossary of terms in the Fae world we may not be familiar with, along with pronunciations. As with the first book, I wish there was a way for me to easily flip back to the map and Glossary for reference while reading. Once again, I also enjoyed hearing the story in my head with an Irish Brogue.

Ms. Green does an excellent job once again making the reader become invested in the characters and caring about them. In this book, Declan and Rowan not only have to continue the fight with the evil Black Castle but also with the prejudice many Fae, especially Rowan's clan, have against Declan and his family's clan. Declan and Rowan both try for several years to ignore their attraction to each other knowing the prejudice and issues that would arise from their joining. We also learn a lot more about the Puca character Branna and are able to foresee the relationship between Branna and the third brother Aiden.

I recommend this book as a great quick read. I look forward to the next book in the series so I can learn more about the relationship between Aiden and the Puca Branna while also learning more about the whole family.

I really enjoyed this one. It was a fated mate/forbidden love type of romance. Declan lost his parents and it really destroyed him which had an effect on his health.Rowen is a nurse who was currently taking staying with Rowan while she helps him recover. Declan always felt attraction toward and soon realized she was his anamchara and they were fated to be together and once he tells Rowen that he has found the one he is destined to be together, she immediately becomes jealous until she realizes it's her. She has also felt drawn to Declan and didn't know why since they were so different from one another and she knew he father would never approve. She knew she had to have Declan in her life though even if he was there as a secret she had to hide from her father and possible her future husband. This was a sweet, fun and quick read with a bit of action and some steamy hott scenes. I felt like it was a bit slow in the beginning but once I got into it more, I could'nt put it down. Being in love isn't always easy and seemed like these two had sacrificed a lot just to try and be together and there was also people after them which just added to it.

"she was the one for him.and he was the one for her. there could be no other".

Hell Hound Declan MacConall knows his nurse Daoine Sidhe Rowan McNeely is his fated mate.
Recovering from addiction is hard and Hell Hound Declan MacConall has reached the stage to wean him off the drug that has helped kick his addiction but the Doctor insists that he have someone with as he stops the drugs. The weekend chosen is the one his family is away so Nurse Rowan McNeely agrees to stay over but the problem with this that he knows she is his Anamchara or fated mate and will stretch his control to breaking point. Nothing can come of it as she is Daoine Sidhe and her father hates Hell Houunds. Also the Black Castle is still a strong threat to the Sidhe. A Paranormal romance to relax and enjoy.

Lord save us from terrible heroines

I really love all of the AS Green books that I've read so far, and the writing in this one was as good as the rest but, Jesus, the heroine (Rowan) was just unbearable. I actually couldn't finish this book because she was so awful. She's useless, pretentious, cowardly, and dumb as a box of rocks. At one point, Declan straight up lists a majority of her issues and instead of seeing the logic, everyone around him pushes him to ignore Rowan's very obvious hang ups and APOLOGIZE. Actually apologize to this horrible, brainwashed harpy for being right about her because, you know, love conquers all (newsflash, what they got ain't love). AND THEN HE DOES IT. I swear, I was seconds away from setting my Kindle on fire.

I really have enjoyed this series so far, the plot revolves around the fairy kingdom, and I have found this to be a very interesting and different subject from the normal shifter reads. This still combines the wolf/hellhound , fairy, and human kingdoms. It of course can be a little steamy but overall a lot of action has been sandwiched in the plot between the romance and revenge. This is a series that I really recommend and I would suggest that you start with the first book Hounded. It does give a lot of background material that you will enjoy plus the story of the first brother and his mate.

Guarded is book 2 in the Fae Hell Hounds Fated Mates series. Declan is trying to come off an addiction he has had. That he was using to cope with his loss of his parents. It has been 2 years and Rowan, his nurse keeps coming back. I love how they both try to keep their feeling they have for each other to themselves.  When Rowan has to stay the weekend with Declan to bring him off his meds, their world gets turned upside down. You don't have to read book 1 of the series to get into book 2. But if you do, you get to meet the other characters that you have meet in this book. I can't wait for book 3

Declan and Rowan

Declan is a Fae hound, whose battle with addiction has put him into the hands of seelie nurse, Rowan. When Rowan is tasked with helping him wean off of his medications, they find themselves thrust into close contact, and it is difficult for a hellhound to deny their Anamchara.

This is the second book in the trilogy, featuring the MacConnall brothers and their fated mates. They’re residents of the Minnesota North Shore, and Fae.
This is an urban fantasy/paranormal romance, with an interesting world and some intriguing characters.
Recommended for those who enjoy paranormal romance/urban fantasy.

Love beyond classes

Declan and Rowan both have undeclared feelings between them that have developed over the years but there are catches: he is a recovering addict, she is his nurse, he is a cu sidh and she a daoine sidhe princess who is expected to marry according to her station. When the Black Castle starts kicking up trouble in the area again Rowan is forced to decide what she wants.
I liked this story it had enough to keep me occupied but I am actually more interested in Branna and Aidan's story that was teased in here.

The second book in the Fae Hell Hounds world was a comfortable revisiting of the magical world first introduced in Hounded. Declan and Rowan have so much to overcome, sometimes it seems they won't ever get their act together. The action is intense, the romance is steamy and the story compelling. The only thing I had a problem with is that there were moments that I became frustrated with the angst between them, but in the end, it all worked out. I recommend you start with Hounded and move right into Guarded! Can't wait for the next installment!

We meet Declan and Rowan in book one. We know that Declan is battling addiction and that Rowan is his at home nurse. What we suspect is that she is his ONE, but we're not to sure.

What we learn is a spoiler so read it and see for yourself.

We learn more about Black Castle.

My only real complaint is Declan doesn't seem to go through with major withdrawals and I wish that were addressed better. I'm ASSuming it's b/c Rowan was there and her presence was what helped tapper off the effects.

~I volunteered to read a copy.

When I read Hounded I so hoped that Declan and Rowan would get together. They have a professional relationship but their personal one is a combination of sexiness, love, anger, doubt and so much more. There was never a dull moment in this book. As they learn about each other can they overcome the past and find the strength to overcome societies plans and thoughts. There were many moments I didn't think it would work for Declan and Rowan but in the end.............. Well I guess you will have to read it to find out.

This can be read as a standalone.

I enjoy books of fated forbidden love types of romances. Declan lost his parents and he had a hard time getting over their death and as a wounded man he becomes attracted to Rowan. The tension creates sparks and an attraction that becomes suspenseful. The story was engaging with the family problems, prejudices, twists, and emotional turmoil between the couples. Rowan's clan is against Declan and his clan and for years they try to ignore the attraction they have for each other. The book was hard to follow sometimes but the characters draw the reader into the story. Overall, I loved the book.

This is a great book and the 2nd in the series. I love the characters in this one. They have known each other for a few years but they both have to stick to the rules and follow line. They have always had a attraction to each other but fight it because they know better. But one gets hurt and the other is sent to take care of him. The pull is to strong and one thing leads to another and then their world is thrown for a loop but the story keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen and how are things going to work out. I really liked this book.

The second book in the series brings Declan and Rowan's story. They've been attracted to each other for a long time but never moved on it. They have tons of obstacles in their path that will need to be dealt with before they can find their HEA. It's an intriguing story and had me hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed and am looking forward to the next book.

This is the second book in the Fae Hell Hound's Fated Mates series and is just as entertaining with incredible characters. I like that even though this the mainly Declan and Rowan's story you still get to see how Cormac and Meghan's story is progressing. This is a great romance with many obstacles in their way.

Finding your anamchara, your soul mate, is something that the Cu Sidhe all want. Declan MacConall has known for a while that his nurse Rowan is his fated mate. Yet he doesn't feel like he is good enough for her, a daoine sidhe fae. But Rowan is feisty and stubborn and she can make her own mind up about Declan. And she wants him. Great storytelling.

When I began this book I was not sure if I was going to enjoy it but as I delved deeper into the story I found myself engrossed in Declan and Rowan's story. Two opposites who should not be together are drawn to each other and the problems that it causes can not always be fixed. Ms. Greene created a world that is intoxicating along with characters that are endearing. Well written and looking forward to the next book.

I really enjoyed this second book in the series by A.S. Green. The story is very fast paced and well written, which keeps you invested in this book from start to finish. Mystery, intrigue and a whole lot of family issues are what makes this story so good. Declan and Rowan are a great couple and once they both realize what they have is worth fighting, they don't let their issues dictate their relationship.

This was a fantastic book. Declan was flawed but working so hard to be better, to be worthy. I know some people want to make their family proud, but Rowan didn't agree with her father's beliefs but she did what she was told. I loved the people they were when they were together. Rowan's acceptance of him went a long way to helping him be stable. Declan was the bigger man in the end.
