Maria is running for her life from her abusive Alpha, she ends up crashing her car in a blizzard. Joseph finds her and takes her back to his cabin. Joseph hasn’t had it easy, an injured cop, framed for something he didn’t do. What will happen when sparks fly between these two and her husband is intent on tracking her down. Fast-paced emotional read with loads of drama, suspense and intense chemistry. Great characters with lots of depth and an entertaining read. I liked it.

This was this author‘s debut book and I’m around for more!! The characters were well developed and they storyline is intriguing, suspenseful, exciting and full of hope. Maria runs from an abusive marriage to her Alpha, crashes her car in a snowstorm and is picked up by Joseph, another Alpha. She is like a wounded little bird every time Joseph gets near her. Joseph has a debilitating injury from his time as a police officer that makes it hard to walk. Can Joseph show her the way an Alpha is supposed to treat an Omega? Will Joseph push Maria away before they ever really get going?

Okay read. Strange omega/alpha world that seemed to match up with others but not really. Joseph was mellow for an alpha. The Bad alpha wasn’t all the alpha either. Everyone had lots of issues. There wasn’t a great deal of chemistry between characters to me. Alma was more alpha then any of them. Story at times was all over the place and stuff seemed random,

A captivating, action filled read full of wonderful characters and superb plot

Maria thought that she had known hell until her Alpha had beaten her again and she knew that she either ran whilst he was out getting his shoulder fixed, or next time he would most definitely kill her and the cover it up as he was so well practiced with all his cronies and minions.

As she was barely conscious, she recalled her elderly neighbour looking on in horror at her injuries and wishing her well as she ventured out in to the snowy night, after her vehicle crashed and determined she attempted to get out and was rescued by a passing Alpha who had taken her into his cabin and nursed her terrible injuries.

Joseph’s life had changed so dramatically whilst he was injured as a police officer and not only was this the end of his career but also had left him with a debilitating injury as well as him being falsely accused of police ineptitude by a lying witness who was trying to frame him.

Since finding the Omega with the horrific abuse injuries he carefully categorised them all as well as taking photographs so that he could not be falsely accused again should she awake, as she begins to regain consciousness it is obvious that they are attracted to each other but she is also very badly traumatised still.

As Joseph and Maria witness her husband on television claiming she has been kidnapped it is obvious that he is exactly as he appears and yet her mother and sister appear to be supporting the brutal Alpha.

As their relationship begins to grow closer and things appear to be getting better for the couple however it always seems as though there is nothing but upset and hardship around every corner.

I do not want to spoil the story or the plot and there are lots of very important surprises around the corner so it is important that you tread this wonderful book for yourself, I assure you that as soon as you begin you will have to read in one sitting

Sometimes a situation is so bad you would risk your life to save your life and that would Maria she has been living with an abusive husband who has/is escalating since her husband placed the blame on her for miscarrying their baby (although he was still abusing her during the pregnancy) and to get away she runs during a snowstorm not having any other options, but her car decides it doesn’t want to act right breaking down leaving her with no choice other than face the storm on foot to find a safe place. The moment she exists the car she collapses but as we know fate has all the control and just as she collapses there is another driver passing by. Joseph sexy as all get out mountain man so to speak see a women collapse everything in him won’t all him to just drive on past, so he does the only thing he can rescue her and taking her to his cabin to wait out the snowstorm. But he notices she is afraid of him (he doesn’t realize she is afraid of all men) so he works on trying to get her to trust him enough to help her with her knee but her abusive showed her that whatever an alpha wants he takes without question and that includes abuse, but Joseph has his own issues to accept and deal with but in the meantime he is working to help her, convince her alpha’s do not have the right to abuse you, as well as deal with his own issues will they make it, will her husband come to find her, will he be able to protect her, and is there some form of happiness for the two of them? .

Wow! This is a well written story but that means it has domestic and parental abuse as well as PTSD triggers all through for readers for whom this is an issue!

Maria, the female omega lead, is escaping literal death and her abusive husband in the middle of a terrible snowstorm when her car gets stuck. With no other option, she leaves her car and collapses in the snow as Joseph, the male alpha lead, drives past. He rescues her, taking her to his cabin to wait out the storm. She struggles through her fear of males whilst he’s struggling with a damaged knee. She’s been taught to be whatever her alpha requires; he’s trying to show her that she can be her own person but that’s triggering his own trauma…

This story is dual POV, well written, and a deeply emotional tale. Both characters are struggling with their own mental and physical health issues and their relationship is one step forward, two steps back for much of the story. There are some highly erotic moments and the character and relationship development is clearly shown. A really good book but I’m glad I waited until I was in a good headspace to read it.

Maria runs from her abusive Alpha husband after he gives her another beating. She is doing this in the middle of a snowstorm and ends up crashing her car. Joseph finds her in the snow and takes her back to his cabin. When Maria wakes up again, she is terrified even though she knows its not her husband there. Joseph knows she has gone through some trauma when he finds her hiding underneath the bed. It takes some time before she trusts him enough to come out and talk to him. Soon they are growing closer and neither wants the other to go. However, when the electric comes back on there is a news report o Maria. Her secret is out and she worries she'll have to leave. Will Joseph make her leave? Can Joseph and Maria have something together?

This is an amazing story that I couldn't put down once I started it. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Maria runs from her abusive husband crashing her car into a snowbank and found by Joseph.
Her husband Chad was beating and yelling at her as he had since she miscarried their son and she is sure this time he would kill her. When someone at the door interrupts the beating she manages to lock herself in the bathroom but soon he is trying to break the door down but then he screams, Telling her he has hurt his shoulder he goes out the front slamming the door and she hears the car drive off. Packing a bag with some money and the sonogram of her baby she gets in her and heads out into the snow storm trying to get as far as she can before she needs to fill up the car. Joseph is driving home ahead of the roads becoming impassable and finds a body in the road and turning the woman over he sees her badly beaten face so he puts her in his truck and drives home.

On a day when Maria is nearly beaten to a pulp by her abusive husband, she is able to get away as far as the car will go until it goes off the road in a snow storm. Joseph has a cabin nearby and is driving home when he sees her as she passes out along the road. He takes her home to warm up and care for her wounds, realizing they are not all from the accident.
The characters are terrific, with great backstories, new hopes and plenty of slowly building romance. The storyline has so much going on with family issues, injuries both are dealing with, pregnancy, surprises, twists, family reconnecting, miscommunication, new lives unfolding and perfect karma. Loved their chemistry, support of each other, patience and entertaining situations. The ending is great as it all falls together in the best way possible.

I couldn't put the book down. It is well written with a great storyline. Maria is running for her life. Her alpha has abused and beaten her again. He will end up killing her if she doesn't get away. She takes off in a snowstorm but her car crashes she ends up trying to walk away but collapses in the snow. She's rescued by Joseph who knows that her injuries are not from a car accident. He takes her to his cabin and tries to help her but she's scared to death of him. After awhile Maria starts to trust him and they talk. They soon grow closer together but will they be able to have a life together. Will Maria have to go back to her abusive husband? Will Joseph make her leave? I highly recommend this story. I enjoyed this story. It hooked me from the start. Maria is an omega who never had children with her alpha husband, who would beat her. After a severe beating where she manages to lock herself in the bathroom, he injures his shoulder trying to get in and leaves the house. Knowing he will kill her when he comes back, she tries to escape, but crashes her car into a snowbank and nearly freezes to death when she passes out in the snow trying to flag down a passing vehicle. Joseph is an alpha suffering from a debilitating injury from when he was a police officer that makes it hard for him to walk. He sees her collapse in the snow and rescues her. Both have scars from their pasts. I couldn't put this book down. 4 stars.

I think that this story was well written. I loved the opening scene even though it would have been nice for a warning about domestic violence. I like Maria a lot. I found her to be real and not a flat character. That is one of the reasons that I kept reading. I loved the author's scene description. It really entranced me to make me want to see what happens next. The author wrote domestic violence that felt real. I liked Joseph and his dog Moose. I think that his relationship with Maria was realistic. It was not a fairy tale saving. It took time for the characters to become comfortable. All in all I was really entertained.. Ok, I somehow misunderstood the description that this was an Alpha/Omega type book and thought I would be reading a "different" story. However, I still found the story to be worth completing even though some of the terms and behavior descriptions new to me. This is a story of Maria, an abused woman who finally escapes from her powerful and abusive husband and finds herself being saved by Joseph, an Alpha that she eventually learns is an Alpha who can be trusted. The idea that this book seems to consider that Maria is the only one who is saved but in reality, she is the one that ends up saving Joseph as well.

So I really liked this book but I think it should have a trigger warning cause they are some hard topic about abuse. One of the things I loved about this book was the dog he is awesome and reminds me of some of my dogs:) when things got to much for the main girl character she took things in her hands and find a amazing guy. I hope to find a guy in real life like the guy who helps her see herself as a worthy person. They both have hard things that have happened to them in their lives so what happens when they are stuck together for a couple weeks find out for yourself how things go and end this great book! Her bio father finds her after her husband reported her being kidnapped. The o.nly thing I found disappointing is this is supposed to be a shifter book but neither character changed into their animal and the book never mentioned what kind. Just that he was an alpha and she was an omega and they purred so sounded like a big cat. This has drama, action

Maria is an Omega fleeing her physically and emotionally abusive husband, Chad. Joseph is an Alpha with a physically debilitating injury from his past experiences as a police officer. He rescues her from near death after she crashers her car during a snowstorm. Joseph takes Maria to his remote cabin where can heal. He's not an alphahole type like Chad - Joseph is a caring, protective alpha who want help her heal from the pains Chad inflicted on her. Eventually their relationship grows into something more, including, scenting, heat, and knotting. But to get to their HEA, they'll have to deal their challenges.

This story is about Maria who is abused by her husband and when she takes a beating so bad that she feels she is going to die, she runs from him. She is caught in a snow storm and she is rescued by Joseph who finds her in the snow unconscious. Maria is totally apprehensive waking up in a strange bed with a strange alpha in the house. Maria retreats from Joseph for days before venturing out of the bedroom. Joseph has to use all his patience to convince her to trust him. This story makes you feel all the anguish that Maria goes through to finally accept that Joseph is not like her husband.

What life is supposed to be...well, in their world anyway. So, I usually stay away from these kinds of books with elements of the paranormal. This one snuck in as it wasn't listed as anything out of my norm. All of the purring and sniffing was umm...different. For the most part the story of Maria and Joseph was a love story with 'normal' love things but the Alpha, Omega and Beta stuff...and the potty language...her mother and sister were trifling...loved his sister and nephews...loved the reappearance of her dad.

I liked the book, but this really isn't an alpha/omega story that I recognize. There are alphas and omegas, but they just act like regular folk. That being said, I did like the story. Maria is abused and she finally realizes that Chad, her abusive husband, is going to kill her if she doesn't leave. She escapes and is found and taken care of by Joseph. The two have strong feeling for one another that only grow as Maria heals. There is a HEA for Maria and Joseph/

Just wow! Not only was this terrific, but I got the read the author's first book. Maria leaves an abusive marriage - Joseph rescues her in a snowstorm. They're on a slow, slow burn, but secrets and fear keep them apart. The characters are amazing and well-developed, even the ones I didn't like. The story has a few twists along the way. Maria an omega runs from her alpha husband who was very much abusive towards her she loses control of her car and blacks out. Joseph an alpha believes that he doesn’t deserve love or any kind of happiness until he finds a woman who has bruises all over her so he takes her back to his cabin not knowing the trouble that was coming. I loved this very emotional story and the characters but I very much hated Maria’s husband and her family so I don’t blame Maria for running, this is a fantastic story and I definitely recommend this book.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. Joseph is an alpha who lives alone in the mountains. He finds Maria, an omega, during a snowstorm in dire need of help. She has fled from her home of abuse and certain death. They both are damaged in different ways and do not trust much. This is a story about the right alpha finding this omega. They both are able to heal a lot of damage. This was a good story with plenty of violence, fear, strength, healing and finally love. The idea was promising, but I had a hard time connecting with either character. Very slow and not really an omegaverse book. Joseph didn’t act like an alpha (he was insecure and whiny-so not alpha) and Maria was all sorts of messed up. I didn’t feel genuine chemistry between either character. Moreover, her mom, sister, and husband were all comically horrible people, which only added to the convoluted plot. I feel bad for saying it since this book doesn’t have many reviews, but since I did pay for this book-ugh, not a fan of this omegaverse. One star.

He thought he was too broken for an Omega to want him, She thought she was too Damaged for any one to love her Alpha or other wise, But fate and a snowstorm had other ideas.
This is wonderful story with intense emotions, some dark themes that may be triggering. but in the end has an amazing way of working it self out. it has great characters, an amazing plot and plenty of steam.
