Romance....Angst....Suspense...
You cannot go wrong with reading the box set of Covington Seciruty. Sharp masterfully creates a world of drama, suspense, angst and romance. Set in Carmel Cove the men of Covington are strong, sexy alphas. They fight for those that they love while protecting their town. Amazing series. A ride I love to repeat again and again.

This boxset of the first 3 books in the Covington Security series is the perfect way to begin!
BETRAYED
Addison Williams has her dream job of managing the Arnell Foundation which provides a series of safe houses for women who need somewhere to get their lives together to make a fresh start. She hit it off with Mitch Arnell, head of the foundation and mayor of San Francisco, but something's not quite right. She found evidence on his computer that showed Mitch wasn't saving these women, as he claimed, he was involved in human trafficking and the foundation was merely a front for his crimes. On their way to a gala, Mitch confronts her about her "interference," and locks her in the limo as he starts it on fire. After her twin brother, Zeke, and Ace Covington, co-owner of Covington Security, pull her out before she's consumed by fire, she needs to remain dead if she intends to stay alive. Ace can only hope that he can help Addy see herself through his eyes and open herself up to loving him.

Dante (Casanova) Lozano is the high-spirited, resident chick magnet of the Covington Security team. With his popcorn maker named Darlene, and his obsession with all things Backstreet, he is an endearing, but frustrating character. Lennon Love Clarke is a famous actress, star of the tv series A Song of Dragons. She is walking unsteadily along Coastal Highway when Dante almost collides with her in his Challenger. He hops out to help, but she doesn't want anything to do with him and lets him know it. How is Dante going to deal with a woman who is immune to the Casanova charm, especially when he's attracted to her. She is on her way to Covington Security to ask for their help with her stalker and the fact that she has no memory of anything from before or after she was in the hospital. She is wary to trust anyone, but these are the best people to help her. The simmering and explosive chemistry between Lenni and Dante is too strong to ignore. I really have to say that I laughed as much as I swooned!

Jo was a child star who crashed and burned. She is now reclaiming her life in Carmel Cove, but someone has stolen her identity and she needs help getting to the bottom of it. Dex was an undercover CIA agent but, with one mistake, was forced to erase his existence. He is a cybercrimes expert and the most capable of helping Joe out, but he needs to keep her at arm's length to save her from his demons. He doesn't always succeed, and his wild side comes out and Jo goes toe to toe with him, finally managing to make him see things her way!

What is not to like? You have Addy, a strong, guarded and stubborn woman trying to do good for a lot of people but still having to hide for her life. And Ace, a loyal, protective, smart, over the top alpha desperate to keep her alive and keep her for himself. That man is intense! But oh so delicious... Plus this story has danger lurking in every page. It's exciting and romantic!

It's amusing the obsession and how much of a fan Dante is of the Backstreet Boys. He normally has an easy going demeanor but it's cool to read how he looses it when it comes to protecting Lenni. Even if it is from other men's wandering eyes. He goes all caveman and it's surprising even for himself. He is very perceptive. And the way the story goes it feels like a clock is ticking on Lenni. But she is a fighter. Nothing can defeat her. And that is exactly why she makes a difference. Why she can stand out from any other woman in this Casanova's path. This story has action, BIG consuming hot action in the sheets, entertainment and of course, great characters.

Ace, Dante, Dex heat up the pages! All three have protective streaks to rival the secret service protecting the president! The ladies they protect and love are strong women yet tortured but their pasts. The men of Covington have their hands full to reach their HEA.

I 6 get sucked into this authors books, but I just couldn't with this box set, especially book 1. There was a significant lack of character development in the first book. Books 2 and 3 for progressively better.
