I thought I knew what a bad day was. That was until my mate tried to kill me.

Kinsley
As a broken witch, I’ve grown up learning to do things the hard way, while doing my best to stay under the radar. I even thought I'd succeeded until Grayson Barrett shows up.

He accuses me of crimes I wouldn’t commit on my worst day and says it’s time for me to pay, but that’s not going to happen.

Turns out Grayson is my mate and, thanks to the magic that connects us, he can’t kill me. Not unless I accept his rejection and that’s not something I have any intention of doing.

At least not until I prove my innocence.

Grayson
This was supposed to be an easy job. One where I took out a magic-crazed witch, got my reward, then went about my business. Except when I find my target, things get complicated quickly.

Kinsley isn’t just any mark. She’s my mate. One I don’t want.

Only the longer I’m with her, the more I realize that Kinsley might be telling the truth. That maybe I was lied to when I took this job because one thing I know for sure…my mate isn’t a witch.

She’s the shifter heir to a house that will sooner take her life than welcome her in.

Ignite Me is a spicy standalone paranormal romance set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book in this shared world is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers.

Original review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Heather Renee!

Ignite Me is the seventh standalone book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world and tells the story of Kinsley and Grayson.

Heather Renee is a new-to-me author, so I was really looking forward to reading her book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. All the books in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series I’ve read so far were really good, so I had some expectations for Ignite Me. Heather Renee didn’t disappoint me at all, she made me fall in love with her characters and I really enjoyed reading Ignite Me!

Ignite Me is about Kinsley and Grayson. Kinsley always thought she was a witch with no magic, and Grayson is a demon/wolf shifter. From the moment I met both characters, I couldn’t stop reading about them. Kinsley and Grayson are both so interesting, I loved their personalities and their chemistry. I really enjoyed reading about this couple and the spicy scenes were amazing! I’m definitely going to miss Kinsley and Grayson!

Heather Renee did such an amazing job and she wrote such a fast-paced, well-written Fantasy Romance read! It was really hard to put this book down, hence why I finished this book in one day! I really liked getting to know our main characters, and it was nice to read about Markus (Reject Me by Kel Carpenter & Aurelia Jane) again. I’m so glad that I read Ignite Me, and I cannot wait to read more of Heather Renee’s books! I’m also really excited for the next book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world, Corrupt Me by Everly Frost.

Spicy Wolf Shifters

Immortal Vices and Virtues series, bk 7. This can be read as a standalone, which is what I did. And you won't be lost on the world building or story at all.
This is a darker story, but not super heavy. There's still humor and fun throughout in true Heather Renee fashion. Really cool world building with dystopian vibes. A bit more violent than Heather's other series. Failed rejected mates. Found Family. Hate to Love. Found Family. Dual POV.
Grayson is a yummy Wolf Shifter (with some hidden talents) and grumpy as hell 😆
Kinsley is a magic-less Witch. She LOVES to give Grayson a hard time, get under his skin. Both are broken 💔 in their own ways. And then they fall in love and Grayson is protective and possessive 😏 Great story! Definitely recommend 💙🐺

💕RCRS: 8 (multiple open door scenes with explicit language)

🗨Some Quotes:
“Okaaaay.” I drew the word out slowly with a heavy sigh. “We seem to be at a stalemate, but what if we started over? I mean, I’m all snug as a bug in a rug in your arms. That seems rather personal, don’t you think? Let’s pretend you didn’t want to kill me before you realized you couldn’t, and we can get to know each other. You know, since this bond isn’t going anywhere quick.”

“I take back my rejection.” He grumbled the words that should have made my heart do a happy dance, but his tone…
“Maybe I don’t want you to take it back,” I quipped in return, raising a pointed brow.
His lips lifted just in one corner. The closest thing I’d seen to a smile from him yet. “Lying doesn’t suit you, Kinsley Ash.”

“Am I still broken?”
He moved until he was cupping my cheek. “There isn’t, and never has been, anything broken about you, Kinsley.”

His fingers brushed strands of my haphazard hair away from my eyes. “After this, you’re mine, Kinsley. There’s no turning back, and I will be yours in the same way. Nothing and no one will ever tear us apart, because I will turn them to dust if they try.”
My thumb stroked over his cheek. “I think your flames are my favorite part about you.”

Ignite Me is book seven in the Immortal Vices and Virtues shared world. The story follows Kinsley, a broken witch and Grayson, a wolf shifter with an added twist. We cross a few Houses/areas in this with Kinsley being taken from her home with her coven to being taken to No Man's Land and then into a House we have visited briefly before in previous books.

I absolutely adored Kinsley, she's a witch with no magic which hasn't let that keep her down or stop her from learning how to protect herself physically and she will kick your a$$ without a second thought if she thinks you're a threat. Grayson would do the same but he's also grumpy as hell when he wants to be. I absolutely loved the connection and banter between the two characters as they take a journey neither of them expected they'd be taking.

Love this book and series so much. Can't wait for more.

This one had me from page 1, I read it in about 24 hours. Grayson is hired to capture or kill a witch that has done horrible things, or so he's told. He meets Kinsley, the witch, who it seems is his MATE! What the!?!?! Grayson can't kill her now, Kinsley won't reject him as he tried to do to her, what are they going to do??? What the adventure they have. We have a special gal that is REALLY special, in who she is and what she means to several people by the end of the book. We see some old characters we have met before, mentions of others, and some new characters we'll be seeing again I'm sure.

If you have read any of the previous Immortal Vice and Virtues books, or even if you haven't, you must read this one! It'll make you smile, cry, and keep you guessing to what will have next.

Another fun entry in this series! Finally Fire and Fluorite are getting their crap together, albeit unwillingly. Kinsley is a fantastic character, and while a little sheltered, at least knows right from wrong. I'm hoping to see her pop up again.

I was giving this book as a ARC its set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world that other authors have contributed to as well but all stand-alones and could be read alone
I have only read this one in this world but have noticed that previous/future characters from other authors book make appearances which I thought was pretty cool and liked.
Kinsley is a alpha and fights for alpha supreme which I also loved because girl power!
I loved that Grayson let Kinsley be her bad ass self and didn’t over shadow her or fight her battles for her.
The spice was good I would rate 🌶🌶.
This book has a strong FMC ✅
Action ✅
Character development ✅
And found family ✅
If those are your thing this book is right up your alley!

I wanted to like this one, I’ve been enjoying this series so far and I like this trope, but it just didn’t meet my expectations. I ended up DNF’ing because it didn’t hold me interest.

4.5☆ Grayson and Kinsley

Ignite Me is the 7th book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series where each book follows a different set of characters in a world where supernaturals now rule after they took over earth after war. The earth is divided by houses and No Man's Land which each book taking place in an area but crossing over with places and sometimes we meet the next characters.

Ignite me follows Grayson Berret a wolf shifter tracker/assassin who lives in No Man's Land and Kinsley Ash a magicless witch who lives in Earth and Emerald.

Grayson Berret known for his tracking abilities had never failed a mission, after losing his family he preferred to live in No Man's land rather than live by the rules of a house despite being an alpha. His latest job hit a little close to home, his mission was to track down a witch by the name of Kinsley Ash who claimed she had no magic but Grayson was presented with proof that she sucked the life-force out of children something that had him seeing red after his own younger sister lost her life viciously. He wasted no time tracking down Kinsley but the last thing he expected was that she'd turn out to be his mate something which made his mission slightly more difficult so he rejected her. Kinsley shut that down pretty quickly refusing to accept. She'd spent her life being passed around a coven after she'd been left there as a baby, she had no magic so she was somewhat shunned and had led a lonely life. She saw Grayson as her way out even if he was determined to still complete his mission, which was either to take her into No Man's land or end her, it'd have to be the former seeing as the mate bond prevented him from killing her.
Along the way they ran into Lia a mythical creature thought to be extinct, she'd been dreaming of Kinsley for a while her ability being able to see the future she knew where Kinsley needed to go but convincing Grayson to go along with her plans was another issue. Grayson refused to go to Fire and Fluorite the notoriously savage shifter house that was currently in a war of it's own after it's last Alpha Supreme was killed. With a house divided Kinsley knew as soon as she crossed the boarder that it was where she was meant to be. Learning about her parentage being from Fire and Fluorite was something Kinsley hadn't anticipated she thought she was a magicless witch not a shifter who had been hidden. Kinsley was the illegitimate heir to Fire and Fluorite and she knew in her heart it was she who needed to rise and bring the house back to glory.
As their bond grew Grayson knew he'd do anything to protect Kinsley with his life and he'd definitely have to prove that because heir or not Kinsley would have to fight to prove she was worthy to sit as Alpha Supreme but with the house split there were multiple leaders most who didn't believe in bowing b4 a female alpha but they weren't her only problem with the man who sent Grayson to originally take her out Kinsley had more enemies that allies and convincing everyone she was strong enough to lead would prove to be a difficult task but she and her mate weren't ordinary wolves and their bond would only make them stronger something no one had anticipated.

Definitely Recommend Reading 📚

4.5 stars! I keep saying it, because it keeps being true. The Immortal Vices and Virtues series continues to deliver great stories in a shared universe, and I’m loving getting these from all the different authors who are participating. This time, I’m familiar with Heather Renee, and very familiar with much of her previous books, and it’s very easy to say that this story definitely speaks to her general genre and writing, and it’s all great!

The story of Kinsley and Grayson is a bit of an enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, fated mates shifter romance with plenty of interesting twists and turns. We’re met with malicious and manipulative outside forces, hidden powers, and an intriguing mystery that keeps the story moving at a steady clip. We also get great chemistry, fun banter, and some really fantastic side characters that really help pull everything together.

And when it comes to the characters, I love how all these books run the supernatural gamut. In this book we have witches, vampires, wolf shifters, humans, and even a unicorn shifter! And it’s our good fortune that the unicorn shifter, who is sassy and snarky, happens to be one of the main side characters, so we get the joy of regular interaction with her. We also get peeks at characters from previous books in the series, going all the way back to the first book - but if you haven’t read them (why not???) it’s not going to hinder the story, although you might be minorly spoiled on those previous books.

The gist of the story is that Grayson is hired to retrieve Kinsley by any means necessary, and bring her to No Man’s Land. He is provided information that leads him to believe she has done terrible things, and has no problem completing this task for his client. That is until he finds her, realized she’s his mate, and then shortly after that, realizes he was manipulated by his client, and everything he thought to be true was actually nothing but lies. So now he wants to help Kinsley, protect her, even if he’s not sure about the mate bond, whether he even wants or deserves it. Kinsley, meanwhile, has always yearned for adventure. Sheltered to the extreme by a coven of witches, when Grayson shows up, she fights at first, but then she decides to go with it, once she’s convinced he’s not going to hurt her. She finds hilarious ways to get under his skin, endearing herself to him almost without even trying. And when a rare unicorn shifter shows up on the scene with some visions of the future and an aim to protect Kinsley, they quickly develop a very sweet and fun friendship that is a great addition to the story.

The story moves at a fast pace, with lots of discoveries and twists, some not entirely unpredictable, others quite surprising. The relationship between Kinsley and Grayson runs a bit hot and cold, unsurprisingly, but the chemistry is really good, and the eventual steam is worth it. They both have big choices to make, and the least of them is really the fated mate bond. This story arcs towards a pretty big shake up for one of the houses, and it’s an exciting and fun journey.

Immortal Vices and Virtues continues with Ignite Me by Heather Renee, it's the seventh book in the series and it was amazeballs. The grumpy meets sunshine troupe is strong in this one and it was great.

Fate has made quite a pair with these two. Kinsley Ash is a confident, caring, strong, and capable female and when she meets Grayson Barrett she gives him just as good as she gets. Gray is an independent contractor in No Man’s Land and does all sorts of shady things while staying far away from people, and that's the way shifter likes it.

Their first meeting is one to remember considering he was sent to kill her and they have an all-out brawl and that's before things get complicated. Gray may be a psychopath but most definitely has anger issues. He was a jerk for about half the book but he slowly started to grow on me like a fever, then the next thing I knew he was burning me up, the man is fine and when he stops being stubborn he's not that bad. Gray and Kins make a really good couple, he actually supports her even when he's scared for her and she does what she needs to do. Turns out that even after their not-so-great pasts they both still have good hearts and want to protect those who need it.

What I love about this series is how they are all connected. Yes, there were a bunch of new faces like Lia, who is a trip. The shifter is feisty, caring, understanding, and has a brightness about her. Then there are the familiar names that get mentioned and the familiar faces that pop up. If you've read the previous books then might recognize one character that had a good part in this book. I liked knowing what happened after the events when readers first met him.

Ignite Me was freaking awesome and one of my favorite books in the series. Heather Renee wrote a really good plot and managed to tie it in with her previous works. She took the grumpy/sunshine to a new level, with two strong female characters, and an adorable kid. Then there were the hidden identities, kidnapping, family found, a circus that I have so many questions about, an assassination attempt, a budding friendship, great fight scenes, rare supernaturals, and full of steamy passion. Ignite Me was a great love story, I can't wait to see who fate pairs up next.

Ignite Me is a paranormal wolf shifter romance, with fated mates, fierce protective alphas, demon wolves and is the 7th standalone novel in the Immortal Vices series. Fast-paced, engaging, dripping with gripping action-packed scenes and numerous unexpected twists and turns Ignite Me definitely stands out from he crowd.

Kinsely entire character arc and personality instantly drew me in and I formed a deep connection with her from the first page. Her instant rambling endeared me to her and had my belly laughing at her awkwardness. It was nice to see a main FMC who was a cocktail of contradictions that were blended so well together. Kinsley is innocent and naive about many things having been stuck inside her coven unable to leave for reasons unbeknownst to her. Yet there is a confidence in her own body that is a direct contrast to her innocence as he speaks her mind and makes her demands about what she wants in the more steamier and spicier scenes.

Grayson is the perfect blend of surly, brooding, overbearing alpha wolf and is just the perfect match as Kinsley's mate. Both are loners (not by choice), searching for a family and a [lace where they can be themselves and belong and somewhere to fit in to escape the life they're leading. Though Grayson needs a bit more adjustment to accept leaving his old life but if anything will convince him eventually it is the mate bond.

As a standalone there is no cliffhanger and everything happens quickly, theres not waiting around or dragging things out. A small part of me did wish that it took longer for Kinsley to convince Grayson of her innocence (in another sense) just because that is my preference. I still thoroughly enjoyed the story and if anything can convince someone faster then it has to be a rare and thought to be extinct unicorn shifter.

Honestly their entire family, Kinsley, Lia, Grayson, Markus instantly understand each other on such a deep level that their fast bonds with each other are so believable and well-written that compliments how quickly it all happens. At the end of the day they're all just looking for a home, and family they can count on and I just loved this book from start to finish.

I can't believe we're already on book 7! Love love loooove this world! :D

Worldbuilding:
Ohhhhhh... Guess what? We're going back to Fire and Fluorite! Back to the House that is pretty much a loose cannon and a House in chaos. We're moving around a lot in this instalment, but all scenes and environments were well-written and detailed enough to stay with the program.

Character development:
We meet some new characters (one whom we will for sure be seeing more of in a later book), and we meet some we have already seen in previous books. One, in particular, will be of interest and let me tell you, I felt a lot better about him after reading this book.
Aaaaaaaaaanyway, moving on to our main characters!
Kinsley is a broken witch. She has no magic and has been confined by her coven to their land for her protection since her mother left her behind. She has coped with it the only way she could, turning her body into a fighting machine. Kinsley can kick ass with the best of them, which she shows when Grayson, a brooding shifter turned assassin/hunter, turns up and tries to kill (or, well, kidnap) her.
(Un)fortunately for him, she is his mate, so yeah, there goes that plan :D
Throw in Lia (a seer of some sort, aaaand nope, not going to spoil this big surprise either), et voila... recipe for a hell of a time. Which only gets better when Kinsley discovers why she doesn't have any magic!
I really enjoyed the banter between the characters or when they opened up to each other about their past, risking getting hurt once more. The characters felt real and believable, were well fleshed out and, yeah, well written!

Pacing and flow:
I read this in one session. The book had me in its claws, sometimes shaking my head at Lia's antics or reading on the edge of my seat cause the situation got out of control. Really good balance between the action and conversation, moving the story forward smoothly.

The book:
The book is well-written with no (noticeable) errors. There is sexual content described (if that is important to you), I would rate it 🌶️🌶️🌶️½ out of 5.
The book has 400 pages, spread over 38 chapters and is told from both Kinsley's and Grayson's points of view.

Final thoughts:
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, and I thought it to be excellent! I've read some other books by the author, and I really like her writing style and the way she lets the story flow. Pick this one up peeps! ;)

Dynamic Characters with Tremendous Chemistry in a Plot that Returns Readers to the Start

I have a new favorite story in the IV&V universe. As are the previous books, Ignite Me is a standalone. New characters are introduced in their own engaging and complete tale, while also enriching and growing this book world. Noteworthy, and happily for many lovers of this series, we finally get resolution in the House of Fire and Fluorite. That said, while you do not have to read any other books from the Immortal Vices & Virtues series, Ignite Me is even more satisfying if you have. And why would you not?

Author, Heather Renee, has masterfully written a book for both new readers and those who have read the entire series. Ignite Me takes us from No Man’s Land on to Earth and Emerald and ultimately back to Fire and Fluorite (where the series started and has been mentioned throughout). Fast, but appropriately paced, this book has a strong plot and amazing characters. I would emphatically say the strongest point for this book is how well the characters are written. These folks drive this story, as their dynamic chemistry sparkles and jumps off the page.

The particulars:

🔥Length: Novel

🐺Genre: Paranormal romance/Dystopian fantasy – shifters, demons, witches, magic, etc.

🔥POV: First person, dual perspectives – male and female main characters

🐺Age: Adult

🔥Warnings: Language, violence, and sexual content

🐺Spice: Packs a punch – smexy times on more than one page

🔥Violence: Moderate, action-focused, animal shifter fighting

🐺Editing: Well done, I was totally absorbed in the story and did not notice any issues

🔥World: Post-supernatural-apocalypse Earth

🐺Series: Immortal Vices and Virtues (interconnected standalones in a shared universe)

🔥Tropes: Fated mates, found family, enemies-to-lovers, hidden powers/identity, grumpy/sunshine

🐺Ending: Standalone

🔥Recommend? Yes! You do not want to miss this one.

🐺Reread? Absolutely!

This is another enemy to lover trope
This book is I think the 3rd having to do with Fire and Fluorite house. Hopefully now they got their stuff settled though.
The FMC had grown up ignored by her coven thinking she was a broken or weak witch. They didn't make her life hell by bullying her, but they didn't include her at all, she was ignored mostly and they didn't even give her a house ring because they didn't see her as part of the house. Its no surprise no one cared when she just disappeared.
When she meets her mate she immediately gets excited thinking she is finally going to get something more in life that what she's had but he just rejects her flat out. She was intent on wearing him down cause she 'knew' he felt something for her.
But with how she was treated her whole life, I don't get how she didn't feel rejected or unwanted even after the rejection didn't really take cause she denied it - he kept acting like he didn't want her ( even after he realized she wasn't what he thought)
I don't know how she stayed so positive through it all. She kept acting like everything was okay.

She is finally getting herself a family and after everything is said and done they decide not to tell her little brother about their connection ( that she is his sister) but my thing is, wouldn't everyone in the pack already know that the new Alpha Supreme is Mathis' first born? That would reach her little brothers ears - honestly it probably already did. So she is just getting denied a relationship with him. I would think it would be best for him to find out through her and Markus instead of hearing it from other pack members. That would just make him feel like he wasn't enough to get a relationship with her? IDK maybe not.

The story was really good. I started it this morning and it was hard for me to put down. I didn't fall in love with FMC and MMC relationship though. They eventually get there - he is really protective of her which is a normal mate thing.

I swear I say this with each new book in this series that's released. But this is by far my favorite. Kinsley & Grayson. I don't even know where to start. I was hooked from the beginning. I didn't wanna put it down. The side characters were a surprise. And I loved every single one of the characters in the book.
Kinsley & Grayson were on fire, quite literally. The fact that this story heavily ties into the first which I think I loved the most aside from this one. Their chemistry is off the charts and it was so perfectly showcased through the book. Slight enemy to lovers vibe but not really ?? Idk I loved this so much. It was the best and I can't even lie I want so much more from these too. And more about a couple in the side characters. I promise you will too. Don't hesitate pick this book up fast. Can definitely be read as a standalone but I Def recommend reading all the previous books.I swear I say this with each new book in this series that's released. But this is by far my favorite. Ignite Me by Heather Renee is the seventh book released in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. This is a spicy paranormal romance novel with enemies to lovers, fated mates, shifters, witches, and a big girth!

The Immortal Vices and Virtues novels are standalone books, written by different authors, but they occur in the same universe. I highly recommend reading these books as a series, and in order, so that you understand some of the backstory.

Ignite Me tells the story of Kinsley, a broken witch, who's been bounced around from home to home, then left to her own devices as an adult. No magic...no value to her coven...not even allowed to join her House. Alone. Until a mysterious shifter turns up and accuses her of heinous crimes, dragging her away from the only life she's ever known.

Grayson, a more-than-meets-the-eye shifter, justs wants to get this job done, and in the process get a crazed witch off the streets, reap the reward, and go about his life. But, when he meets his mark, he realises she's more than what he bargained for...oh, and then there's the mate bond that slams into place.

I really enjoyed this book- absolutely loved the banter between Kinsley and Grayson, adored meeting Lia and seeing more of Markus, and found the way Kinsley grew into herself to be just beautiful. But, I felt like I wasn't totally invested with the characters, as it took me a few days to finish.

Looking for your next spicy shifter read? Ignite Me will fuel your fire!

☆ I received an ARC of this book from the publisher, which in no way sways my honest opinion, as stated in this review ☆

This is book 7 in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series and it’s a fast paced and exciting read. Kinsley is a broken witch who was left by her mother in a coven of witches when she was 6 months old. Since then she’s been bounced from house to house among the witches and ignored for the most part. The lonely life encouraged her to train to fight and she’s strong physically and emotionally. Grayson is a wolf shifter, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. He’s on a mission to hunt Kinsley down because she’s been accused d of horrible crimes, but when they meet they find they are fated mates. They have excellent banter and it definitely takes some time for them to accept the mate bond which I liked. I had a hard time connecting with Kinsley personally but I think lots of people will like her because she’s a strong and confident FMC. I really liked Lia and the found family vibe between her and Kinsley. We also get to see more of Markus who was in book 1 of the series. The plot of this book is really fast paced and exciting so I didn’t want to put it down! It takes us back to Fire and Fluorite which is a really volatile and chaotic house after what went down earlier in the series. I really liked how the story turned out in the end and I can’t wait to continue the series! Each book adds more to the world which is so large and detailed. I love this series!

I received an ARC from the author and I’m voluntarily leaving an honest review.

"I'd burn buildings, remove heads, and scour the lands, leaving a trail of blood in my wake, to find you.... And not just tonight or because of the heat, but every day, for the rest of our lives. Nothing and no one will ever take you from me."

4.5 stars!

First off I have to say this is my 1200th book read on GR!! This is my 10th year recording my books read here on GR, and I am so excited and proud to log my 1200th book. And I'm so glad that I enjoyed this book as much as I did as it makes it that much sweeter.

Kinsley's childhood was filled with loneliness and endless questions since she had been raised by a coven who treated her as a pariah since she showed up there with no idea of where she came from. Grayson is an elite tracker who is hired by the faceless Jonathan to capture or kill Kinsley on contact. However when Grayson finally tracks her down, they are both shocked and dismayed to discover that they are fated mates and that Kinsley's past is intertwined with both their futures. Grayson was the ultimate broody, broken bad boy, and I loved watching him begrudgingly accept Kinsley as his mate. Kinsley was such a badass, and I loved watching her confidence grow. This was a great standalone shifter romance with a few twists, and I definitely recommend!

Tropes: fated mates, brooding alpha hero, heroine with a hidden past, rejected mates, grumpy/sunshine, 'touch her and die' vibes, mating frenzy, found family, STEAMY🔥

🌻 Main Characters - Grayson & Kinsley
🌻 Fated Mates
🌻 No cheating
🌻 Happy Ending
🌻 Trigger Warning ⚠️ : Erotic scenes (MF), Violence, Murder, and Kidnapping
🌻 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶🌶
🌻 Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5

All her life, Kinsley thought she was a witch. (Was she tho? 👀) Her mate, Grayson, was ordered to either kill her, or capture her and take her to No Man’s Land. When they met, they fought in hand-to-hand combat. (I didn't expect Grayson to actually punch Kinsley. 😨) Since she was his mate, Grayson couldn't kill her so he decided to kidnap her instead. He rejected her, but he later took it back.

Grayson is a half demon and half wolf shifter. He is a complex character and a certified alphahole. He discovered that he had been manipulated by dark magic to hunt down Kinsley. Luckily, (was it really luck tho? 👀) he and Kinsley crossed paths with Lia, a rare unicorn shifter.

Lia possesses the ability to see glimpses of the future, heal, create portals, and wield other magical powers. She removed the dark magic from Grayson. Since she foresaw a future that they needed to go to the House of Fire and Fluorite, the three of them set out on their journey. There, they found out the whole truth: Kinsley's identity, who manipulated Grayson, and Lia's mate.

Anyway, I was glad that Grayson's character kind of changed for the better (only with Kinsley) at the end. He was really getting on my nerves. LOL.😂

This is book 7 in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Series. All of the books are standalone with a guaranteed HEA. Even though you do not have to read in ore, I do recommend doing so as this is a shared world with mentions of characters and places in previous books. And just a word of advice, all of these books are addictive!!!!! You have been warned...LOL,

First off, let me start by saying that I love how Heather Renee writes and I am huge fan of her other series. Having said that, she blew me away with this book. I opened up the book and did not put it down until I was done with it. Kinsley is a character I immediately fell in love with. She had a tough upbringing but never felt sorry for herself. She always found the good in everything and everyone. Grayson is a grumpy sunshine who had some tragic things happen to him. He is a loner who tries not to get close to anyone for the fear of losing them. Together that are explosive and oh so hot! Their banter is hilarious and I was here for every bit of it. I was rooting for them the entire time. Lia is another great character and I love her for Kinsley. Their friendship is so sweet and protective. We also have Marcus who we get to see again. I did not like him in the other book but Heather made me fall in love with him. I promise you will love this book. go start this series and fall in love with each and every couple. I give this book 5 stars

Ignite me is book 7th book in the immortal vices and virtues series.. the books all interlock in the same world but can be read as stand alone… but you really don’t want to do that as they are all so amazing, and if read in order you won’t get any spoilers from other character crossovers.

I loved Ignite me from the first page I was sucked into Kinsley’s story. Her unknown past, family and even absence of any magic had me enthralled and needing to know more. I loved learning everything with her and watching her find herself and her place in the world Iv come to love. Now Grayson the sexy hero/Sysco with a heartbreaking past and a menacing personality had me equal parts melting as wanting to kick his ass he rocked this story and Kinsley’s world and I loved we got the story from both POV’s. But as alway this series is about more then the MC’s, the world building is outstanding.. the surrounding characters make the story so much more and I find myself praying they may be one of the story’s we have coming still.. I loved seeing some of the characters we have already met and seeing new sides to them as well as meeting the new one in ignite me.

Fast pasted.. absolutely ram packed with action… completely unpredictable and hot hot hot. What a read!!! Bring on Corrupt me!!.

I’ve read a bit in the Immortal Vices & Virtues series—not going in order, mainly skipping around to certain authors. The only book I read in Season 1 was of course, Crave Me by Lexi C. Foss, as she’s my favorite author. All of that is to say, that despite that, I did not feel lost during this one. This world is very well designed and I find it easy to slip in and out and to roll with the different authors’ contributions to it.

Fated mates.
Coven life.
Rejected Mates.
Unicorn shifters.
Epic battle scenes.
Lots of secrets and mysteries.
Enemies to lovers … ish.
Found family (literally and figuratively).
Witches.

At times, the writing could be a bit juvenile (~30ish year-old alpha wolves worrying about things like ‘talking about us behind our backs’ wasn’t believable for me.) But mostly, the writing was good and the air of mystery throughout the entire novel was fun, even if predictable. Would read more by this author, in or out of this world.

3.5 stars.

🎧 Audio:
Both narrators had beautiful voices and performed this book perfectly. Highly recommend the audio format of this book. Overall sound quality is clean. 🦩 5 stars.

Another great story in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series!! It's amazing to me how all of these stories flow so seamlessly together! We finally get the story of settling the unrest in Fire and Fluorite. You will fall in love with all the characters in this story. Our FMC is Kinsley. She's led a lonely life always secretly wishing for more. She was abandoned and knows nothing of who she really is. Our MC is Grayson. He's tough, brooding and has his own tragic backstory. From their first meeting, Grayson learns not to underestimate Kinsley and she keeps him on his toes the entire time. While this is a fated mates story, there isn't an instalove. These 2 have to work for it, and ultimately decide if this is what they want. I loved it! And we finally get more of Markus! He officially redeems himself. And then there's Lia, who I adored! She's that quirky best friend every girl needs! There's plenty of action, twists, angst, tension and a complex story with layers of secrets.

Not a fan of the female lead or the male lead…

Let me start off as saying I have no problems with an understanding forgiving female lead. But in this case it doesn’t work.
It’s not just the fact that the male lead is horrible to her, it’s the fact that their are no real consequences to his actions. She even talks to herself about it being weird she can forgive him so quickly, that she continues to pursue him after he tried to kill her and has shown little care for her other than possessiveness. I mean even her wolf isn’t ok with just forgiving and forgetting (which is a big deal when you know that they are mates) but she’s overriding the instincts of her wolf. Doesn’t make any sense and makes her seem like a doormat.
This book is better than the weird superhero concept of the last book that I skimmed through but honestly it also doesn’t seem to fit into the world that has already been established.

I was so happy when i saw Heather was writing one of the stories in this world. I love her other series and was really looking forward to her spin on things.
I loved watching Kinsley figure out who she is and what her calling is. I loved that she started out smart, just sheltered and tough. She was never dealt an easy life but she didn’t complain, just made the best of it.

It was so much fun seeing Markus back! It made me want to read reject me again. I loved getting a sneak peek at characters we will see in the next few books too. Heather did a great job tying everything thing together while telling her own story in the world.

Ignite me was filled with mystery, battles, a snarky BFF, a steamy hot grumpy alpha, family, and a strong heroine filled with heart. If you love shifter stories or any of the other immortal vices books, you’ll love this one.

Let me tell you I could not put this book down! Kinsley is a bada**! She’s so fierce and outspoken.

The power she gives off when she walks into the room will make any man feel inferior. Kinsley starts to discover herself in who she is and who she’s meant to be. She meets these amazing people along the way that will be by her side.

Her newly found friend Lia is a whole other level of magic. She’s very unique with her abilities and is the type of friend every girl dreams of.

Grayson and Kinsley are THE power couple. The magic around their bond is as beautiful and chaotic as their banter.

I’ve only just begun to step into the Immortal Vices and Virtues World. This stand alone was amazing.

Sucked in from the beginning.

These books have been so fun to read, as the different authors expand the world of the Immortal Vices and Virtues Series. This is book 7 by Heather Renee and damn she did not disappoint. Sucked in from the very beginning. Like I may have been late getting ready for work because I thought I could read a little to start my morning and lost track of time 🤷‍♀️ The chemistry and passion🥵 she created between the characters as well as the animosity🫣 was on point. Also the way she was able to incorporated characters from the other books just helped build on the bigger picture and expand the story. This was so well written, fast passed yet full of unexpected twist that just kept you on the edge wanting more so hard to put down.

What a great book in a great series - Ignite Me in the Immortal  Vices and Virtues Series!

Lots of check marks in my favorite things :
Enemy to Mates
Strong and independent lady
Action         Laughter       Tears
Twist and Turns    BFF
No cliff hangers - ok just kidding love Heather's cliff hangers.
Kinsley  and Grayson don't start out as friends - how can you be friends when he was hired to kidnap you. Glad to see Markus make an appearance  and he has changed. Lia makes a great BFF but I won't spoil her secret . It's a good one.
Read Kinsley  and Grayson,s story in this series. It's packed with action, a few twist and some laughs. The ending will make you tear up so be prepared.
Awesome job to all the authors in this series.
