Magic is power in the new world order, but all my coveted ability has ever gotten me is doing someone else’s dirty work. I’ve busted my ass to become a valuable asset to the privileged supernaturals who rule this brutal world, and build a life I love.
Until an arrogant, sanctimonious jerk saunters through a portal and ruins everything.
Zey is something my world has never seen and he’s on a mission. Three magical items from his world have gone missing and I’m the only one who can find them.
But this distractingly sexy stranger isn’t the only one after them. A bunch of baddies are hunting him, and now me too.
To say that this mess has me feeling stabby would be an understatement. Just my luck that Zey and his buddies seem to be impervious to sharp, pointy things.
I just hope I can find a way out of this deadly situation before I fall for the mysterious supernatural who’s put my life at risk.

* Expose Me is a spicy standalone paranormal romance set in the Immortal Vices and Virtues Universe. Every book is a guaranteed happily ever after with a satisfying ending and no cliffhangers. Perfect for fans of Immortals After Dark, Black Dagger Brotherhood, and the Demonica series.
Didn’t work for me. It was boring. The characters weren’t very likable. I didn’t like all the contradictions, like this dude not knowing what sarcasm is but he can pick up the subtle jealousy nuances in a comment. Hmmm, yeah no. Didn’t work. They had no chemistry together unless they were in bed.
Another enjoyable story from the world of Immortal Vices and Virtues. Expose Me is the fifth book in the series and follows the story of Sky, who we have met before and Zey. Everything is going perfectly fine for Sky, she's worked hard to get to where she is in her House, but that all comes crashing down when she meets a strange, naked woman in an alley.
I loved the fact that Zey wasn't a being we have met in the series before. He was different and interesting and I loved the introduction to another realm. The two characters bounce off each other really well, especially when Sky is trying to teach Zey sarcasm.
It was a great story, though I do think the ending was a little abrupt. It just sort of ended and I'm not sure but I was wanting just a little more at the end. Other than that I absolutely loved it and can't wait to read more in this series.
This book was strange. The MMC was a black hole humanoid shape, with no face or sexual features. I am loosely calling him the MMC because that (male) was the form he chose for his true self/human self. I don’t know really. And his world was unimaginable, even though it was written about. It was a bit out there for me.
That being said the story was interesting and except for the Epilogue, the writing was good. I liked Sky a lot and the banter was great. The premise was just so weird. The Epilogue needs to be finished or something. It just like randomly ends.
I don’t know if I would recommend this book, but I will be thinking about it for awhile. That’s for sure.
I received this arc for my honest review. This is the 5th book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. This story follows Sky and Zey as the look for objects that are needed for the next true leader of Zey’s realm. They are hit with many challenges a long the way. But they also learn things about each other along the way and of course something begins to build between them. Definitely another great read in the Immortal Vices world that you will not want to miss.
Unique and intriguing. I enjoyed the story and the characters. Their relationship was a fun journey. I also really loved the different beings introduced. They were original and fascinating to read about.
I can't believe we're already on the 5th instalment of this series, what a ride!!
Worldbuilding: A new portal opened up, and a new species was discovered. Oh my! We start in Melbourne and move pretty much across the whole world. Mainly because of that, it was super important to know where we were... and the author did a great job! The scenes and environments were very detailed and precise! Very well written!
Character development: We've seen some of Sky in "Haunt me", so it was nice to have some reference :) She is an awesome person, and I liked her from the get-go :D Her talent is seeking whatever the client wants found (if possible, of course), and she knows how to wield her weapons. She can kick ass with the best of them but also has a pretty good head on her shoulders. Coupled with a great sense of humour... yeah... I'm a fan. Zey (yeah, I'm not going to write down his full actual name, good luck pronouncing that, by the way) is a Vuulelectian, a shapechanger. He can change into males, females, angels, demons; you name it. While he gets the hang of being on earth pretty quick, things like sarcasm are alien to him, which in turn provides us with a good time :D For some reason, though, don't ask me why cause I don't know, as he started the book as a woman, I had a hard time getting past that :( I put the book down for a little while before returning to it.
Pacing and flow: There is a really nice flow to the book. A lot happens, and there is pretty much always something going on. A lot of action! Though it never feels too much or too rushed.
The book: The book was well written with no (noticeable) errors. There is sex described (if that is important to you). I would rate it 🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of 5. It has 248 pages, spread over 23 chapters and told from Sky's point of view.
Final thoughts: I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book, and all in all, once I got over Zey's gender confusion, I could get into the story and enjoy the tense and action-packed ride :)
Sky and Zey were different in every way but so perfect for one another aside from there differences. The tension between them just built up perfectly and it’s a perfect addition to this series
Expose Me by Kaydance Snow is the latest addition to the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. The fifth book in the series was an out-of-this-world experience, it has its own unique flare while fitting in with the rest of the series. However once again this is a standalone, multiple-author series, and while I would suggest reading the previous books (in order) you really don't have to enjoy this paranormal romance.
The story is told by female protagonist, Sky Serpell, a human with a little extra who worked hard to gain a high position in her House, Spirit, and Sapphire. Sky is reliable and very capable person who happens to have a unique power, she's a seeker. Sky uses her own bit of magic to find lots of things if given the right parameters and within reason. While it may not seem it her power is pretty cool and makes her more powerful than anyone realizes especially in combination with her intellect. Sky is a snarky, badass, who is used to looking out for herself.
Zey, as a being in general, is complicated and Sky's love interest. Zey is a shapeshifter from another realm. So he's basically from another planet but with a supernatural twist and unlike the other supernaturals his kind has never encountered humans so he doesn't have human understanding and doesn't respond as a human would emotionally. Over time he gains humanity (feelings) and after all the intense high-pressure situations something develops between him and Sky. Things also get very interesting because when I called him a shapeshifter, he can shift into any being, no matter the species or sex, things most definitely get interesting when the two finally get together. Somehow the two make a great pair and they're really sweet together.
Kaydance surprised me with the plot, it's almost like a supernatural spy movie with a hint of Indiana Jones. Traveling all over from Australia, to Brazil, and multiple realms and territories, a rainforest and balls all make for an excellent backdrop. The hunt for disguised magical artifacts, a rogue group attacking at every turn, a variety of sketchy supernaturals including a shady af fallen angel, and a list of enemies steadily increasing. It's all action and high stakes, there was never a dull moment in the story, like I said it reminds me of a supernatural spy movie and I loved it.
The Immortal Vices and Virtues is such a great series and I enjoyed Expose Me, Kaydence did a great job adding to this world making it even bigger, and adding so many new aspects to this world. The best part, there is so much more potential for growth, the series still has more books planned and I'm looking forward to the next.
Banter-filled, Action-packed, Out-of-this World Romance
Expose Me is a book by an author I had not previously read, in a subgenre I do not normally read. And I really enjoyed it! Main character, Sky, whom we have previously met in Haunt Me, is a fabulously snarky and relatable woman, whose life is blown apart with one good deed. Zey, the cause of said problems, is a new species to Earth and has a world-altering mission to complete.
I must admit, I did struggle through the first few chapters of Expose Me, but by chapter four I was totally sucked into the story. I am not sure why I was not immediately hooked, but I do know Zey’s character threw me at first (I do not usually read alien romance, so it took me a minute). Zey is of an alien, intuitive learning, shapeshifting species; and once on Earth takes both male and female forms while determining what shape/identity to embrace. That ability to shift plays into the story in multiple ways, as do the often-amusing culture clashes that occur with Sky. These served as great vehicles to grow the characters in a fast-paced storyline.
Overall, Expose Me was a highly entertaining read. The story had a character cameo or two from previous books, and further expanded the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe. All the while serving as an excellent introduction to a new-to-me author and making a strong case for a non-preferred subgenre.
Here are the highlights:
💧Length: Novel
⚡Genre: Paranormal/alien romance
💧POV: First person, female main character
⚡Age: Adult
💧Warnings: Language, violence, and sexual content
⚡Spice: Medium/Moderate heat, great banter, sexual tension, and eventual sex on page
💧Violence: Fast-paced, action-focused, some injury described but nothing gory or overly descriptive
⚡Editing: No noticeable errors, and great pacing for all that occurs
💧World: Post-supernatural-apocalypse Earth
⚡Series: Immortal Vices and Virtues Book 5 (interconnected standalones in a shared universe)
💧Tropes: Dystopian world, fugitive arc, culture clash, single bed, snarky main character, unique abilities, fated mates
⚡Ending: Standalone, this is sadly the end of Sky and Zey’s story
We first meet Zey as a girl Sky comes across and helps in an alley. Then her true form is given a bit later which is described as human shaped but all super black (like black hole black) and a light from within (Zey donates this light later but its never explained what is it) He comes from another world looking for some important items from his world that others are trying to steal. He's a new species no one has seen before either.
In the beginning, the story seemed to be told in a way where I felt like I was just reading things off a list but it didn't stay that way. After a couple chapters it got really good. In the beginning I didn't know how it would work with Zey and Sky and it was hard to like their characters, but as they grew in the story, they grew on me too. I couldn't see the love story because Zey was really neither male or female, but he felt his best as a male. But when its your soulmate, I guess what you look like doesn't matter
It made me mad when her House treated her the way they did after her 12 years of service. Also, its not explained why that Mary chick was even having her followed in the beginning because it was before anything had went down with Sky that she was collecting info on her. Also - if Zey would've just let her make the damn call!! lol I don't think it would've mattered though. She would've reported it and beed screwed either way.
The story is in Single POV told from Sky's view. But another thing was that it seemed like Zey had felt their mate bond and knew who she was to him while she didn't feel it but she did eventually fall in love with him. I wonder why she didn't feel it like the others in the series? is it because she is part human?
Her house is Spirit and Sapphire, but the picture at the beginning of each chapter was for the House of Death and Diamond. At least I first noticed that symbol in book 3 and it looks to go with Death and Diamond.. so i'm wondering why its in this one too. I haven't noticed if its in all of them, but now I'm definitely going to look out for that in the future books lol
Over all its really good read. Definitely something different and a whole new supernatural species
First of all, the plot was weird, but I still like it tho. It was very intriguing and I finished it in one day.
Sky is a supernatural human from the House of Spirit and Sapphire who can locate and summon things. (I wish I have this power so I can never lose my phone. 😂) She saw woman in a dark alley who looked injured and weak (and really thirsty 🤔) so Sky brought the woman into her apartment to spend the night.
Unbeknownst to Sky, the woman was actually a new supernatural being from another world who had crossed through a newly opened portal. (Good luck pronouncing that supernatural's full name. LOL. 😂)
Zeymlardterrerdjormljerra (Zey for short) is a supernatural shapeshifter who can change into a man, woman, or non-binary. So, the intimate scenes are... interesting. 👀🔥He said he prefers his male form, so I guess I'm gonna use "he" instead of "they." He comes from another world known as Vuulectus.
Zey asked Sky's help to locate the Onuei, the three important objects that will choose the next True Leader of Vuulectus. The three Onuei were scattered to three different places after they tore a hole in space and time itself and made a new portal.
Sky decided to help Zey since she was already branded as a traitor for not reporting to her superiors about the new portal and the newly discovered species of shapeshifting supernaturals. She made a deal with Zey so he could help her clear her name after they bring back the Onuei to Vuulectus.
I like how Zey couldn't understand sarcasm and common expressions. His dialogues were funny. 😂 I love how Zey and Sky protected each other and worked together. I wasn't surprised they were fated mates. The attraction, tension and banter already gave it away.

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Kaydence Snow!
Expose Me is the fifth standalone book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world and tells the story of Sky and Zey.
I was so excited to read Expose Me by Kaydence Snow because I’m a big Fantasy Romance fan, and I’ve read some of Kaydence Snow’s other books. I’m so glad she wrote a book for the Immortal Vices and Virtues series because I really enjoy reading Kaydence Snow’s books and because I love the Immortal Vices and Virtues world. Expose Me was a great read, I really liked getting to know Sky and Zey, and I thought that their story was really original and interesting.
Sky is a human with a special gift, and Zey is a shapeshifter from another realm. I really liked how the two of them met and how they started to like each other. They’re ‘fighting’ at the beginning and at the middle of the book was sometimes a bit annoying, but in the end they’re together and that’s what counts! For those that have read the book will know what I mean, but I really liked the fact that Zey could shapeshift…
Expose Me was another great Fantasy Romance in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. I liked this book because it was filled with snarky comments, funny moments, action, and, of course, spice. Kaydence Snow did a good job with this book, and I’m excited to read more of her books! I’m also really excited for the next book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series, Ruin Me by Jenna Wolfhart.
4.5 stars! Yet another fantastic addition to the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. This time, we visit the House of Spirit and Sapphire. Sky’s world is turned completely upside down when she helps a woman who seems to be injured, who then turns out to be a shape shifting being from a new realm, who just so happens to need her special brand of help. Zey (whose real name is like 50 letters long, lol) is a completely unknown, alien type species, who shows up through a newly formed portal in search of three magical items that he needs to locate in order to restore his world to it’s true leadership. Unfortunately, a rebel group is hot on his tail, and determined to thwart him and wreak chaos on their world. Sky unwittingly finds herself embroiled in this mission with Zey, feeling compelled to help him, though she doesn’t know why, given that his entry into her life has caused her nothing but trouble.
As Sky and Zey try to escape not only the rebel group from Zey’s world, but also those from Sky’s House who believe they are betraying them, they form a bond, a friendship, that bleeds into something more without them even realizing it. Zey is a very interesting species, with quite unique skills, traits, and needs, and Sky is definitely drawn to him. It’s a nice, slow burn, with some fun banter (he doesn’t understand sarcasm, irony, or colloquialisms which makes for some humorous conversations), and great sexual tension, which then explodes into even greater steam. I loved the plot of the story, the mystery behind not only Zey and his species, but adventure they’re on to save his world, and the way thei relationship between them unfolds in a very real, natural way that is both sweet and sexy.
Expose Me Immortal Vices and Virtues Kaydence Snow
Okay, I have loved all of these so far and I am buzzing like a knackered fridge for @kaydencesnow_author instalment, I heartily recommend reading her Evelyn Maynard Trilogy - great read!
Anyhoooozle enough #fangirling from me…
This is the latest instalment of the #ImmortalVicesAndVirtues series, all of these books are standalone and can be read in or out of order but I do recommend reading them in release order as I’m enjoying the small cross overs that are appearing. #EasterEgg #GeekSquad
Our FMC is Sky, a human with a little something extra and our MMC is Zey, an alien for all intents? Who has never experienced humans and is on the hunt for some magical artefacts that only Sky can locate… it’s like the only one bed trope. I LOVE IT!
Oh she’s sarky I like it!
Chris Hemsworth!!! Hmmmmph I’d climb him like a tree!
The world building - wow - this is really our first dalliance into House Sea and Serpentine and it sounds both scary and idyllic. Kinda like Australia, or how I imagine Australia to be … beautiful but most things can kill you 😳
Jeeeze this read is like a cross between The Goonies and The Mummy, so much adventure, action and hoodwinks that kept me on my toes all the way through but with the sexual tension of Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz - hawt.
I'll be honest this book took me a while to get into it didn't really feel PNR to me at all. I nearly gave up reading quite a few times b4 it reached halfway. Sky referred to Zey as some new alien species when in his true form he's a black faceless humanoid figure but can take on the shape of any person he sees.
Zey comes through a new portal seeking three sacred artifacts called Onuei that came through to earth after their leader was killed, he needs to return them to his world so they can seek out the new true leader and so he needs Sky's help. She reluctantly agrees to help him find them so he can leave and return to his own world. Of course there are others from his world trying to find the artifacts to force it to pick someone of their choosing. After Sky's house finds out she knew of a new portal and didn't report it they try to detain her and Zey but when they escape they're listed as fugitives so their mission becomes harder as they have to go under the radar. Sky and Zey form feelings for each other along the way as much as she try's not to because inevitably Zey will return to his own world once his mission is fulfilled.
I did enjoy the searching for the artifacts part and all the people they met along the way in No Man's Land 💜
I'd still recommend reading as my opinion won't be everyone's ♡ especially if you've been reading all the books in this series.
So far I have loved every single book in the IVV world and everyime I finish a book in the series I cannot wait for the next one. but with a group of such talented authors. Some who are new to me and Some who have always been one click authors for me. Its exciting and amazing the way this world comes to life thru different peoples eyes. okay so now to the book. Literally Recommend reading this. Ugh soo darn good but At First I had no idea where this book was headed after going in blind not reading the blurb, Then I got thru the first Couple chapters and I was like whooa I was no expecting that , Then it hit me and I Could not put this down for the life of me, I took it with me everywhere within my house. nose to the kindle. I finished it in 4 hours. The Character growth is astounding honestly. Sometimes I think its hard to get character growth perfect in a stand alone but this book gives it to you. I loved both of the characters , it was really well written. I would definently recommend 10/10. Kaydence is a really talented author ( go read Reverie & Redemption after you read expose me ) She' is a multi dimentional author who can write all different tropes.
In such a big and growing world there are bound to be bumps for me and this one was a slight one.
I struggled with the writing style a bit because it seems to be very different from the others and what I’m typically used to. It wasn’t bad, just different and took me a while to form an attachment.
Sky has been quite the mystery for a while and not knowing who this story was about for a bit in the beginning made it hard for me to form the worldly connection to her (synopsis was vague).
It starts off with intrigue when Sky is doing something she shouldn’t necessarily be doing and comes across a female in need of help. While it turns out to be the love interest, Zey doesn’t remain female.
Zey is in need of certain items and Sky has a very specific ability that he could use. Together they begin a journey that tests a lot about their relationship and hers with her House.
While I feel like I could have enjoyed this more, I did still appreciate what it brought to this world of authors and characters. I look forward to seeing what more we will get!
In this book we meet Sky, a human with a very peculiar power, who has had to fight to be someone within the spirit and saphire house, when one night she meets Zey thinking that someone hit him, she takes him home and in there he tells her that he needs help finding some artifacts from his world.
Sky was a super sarcastic character and we can see the strength that she has to keep going. Zey, being from another world, begins with no knowledge of how to interact with others, but little by little we see how he becomes attached to Sky.
I liked the plot itself, there were only a couple of things that were not much to my liking. I look forward to the next book.
Espero e siguiente libro.
I’ve been enjoying the series so far but this one didn’t feel like the others til nearly the end. The story was still good, just not what I expected. You get action and mystery from the very first chapter. It felt a little sci-fi to me even tho it was clearly paranormal. I enjoy both genres and pronounced Zey’s race wrong the entire time in my head as Vulcan ( my mind was clearly on sci-fi and hotels, yup magical Omni hotels were spoken as well 🤦🏼♀️ ). I love sky’s powers and totally think she is highly underrated in value in her house until this happens. The 🔥was there in one chapter in many ways of your imagination more than what the author even has to put in the book. That’s a super power right there folks! So even tho this book feels different it is enjoyable in its own right. If you love books that teeter lines of genres you will enjoy this one, plus it’s in an amazing bigger series world too!!
So i have been onto this series from the beginning, waiting each month for the next book and have really been enjoying the series so far.
I started reading Expose Me with the anticipation of the journey that this series has been on so far, and I found that I did struggle abit with this book (this is more for my preference of book themes), this had abit of an "alien" type vibe which i don't ever read. I also kept picturing Zey two ways (as the silver robot Isaac from the Orville or the guys with the black masks from squid games) - my brain could possibly be abit fried from the heat wave we are having.
but none the less, i just finished it. its a slow burn romance and the FMC is quite spunky, Zey was an interesting character that grew as the story went along. The book is well written and it also provided a bit of a sneak peek into some of the houses that we haven't read much about as yet, so a nice introductory point.
This is book 5 in the Immortal vices and Virtues series. Although this is part of a series, each book is a standalone in a shared world. You will hear of other characters from previous books and for this reason I recommend reading in order. Each book follows one couple and will end with a HEA.
WOW........I loved this one so much. The main characters are Sky and Vey. t Their chemistry is off the charts hot and I loved Sky's snarky banter with Vey. The world building was incredible and I loved the new introduction of a brand new species and world. The quest in this book was fun and I loved the trouble Vey and Sky got into along the way. The magic and shifting was so original. I truly flew through this book in one evening and wanted more. These books are easy to read, fun characters to follow and a perfectly happily ever after. This book gets 5 stars!!!!
Expose Me brings us Sky Serpell from the House of Spirit and Sapphire. She has the unique ability to summon items from anywhere which comes in quite handy when she continually has to summon clothes and weapons as she races around the realms with her new companion, Zey. Zey comes through a new portal and is on a mission to recover important items for his leader before they fall into the wrong hands. Their interactions are hilarious as Zey does not understand Sky’s sarcasm so takes everything she says literally. Zey keeps stopping her from reporting to her House so soon they are both on the run as fugitives while they try to recover what he needs. Overall, very entertaining installment of the Immortal Vices and Virtues world and well worth reading. Love the descriptions of Zey’s species and how he interacts with Sky. Really fun.
When I started this book (after reading the blurb), I was so confused for the first couple of chapters. I think I've never ever been that confused over a book before. I was honestly thinking about giving up already but decided to go through for a little more anyway and boy, am I glad I did! This book was an adventure in itself! All the feels and all the anxiety just hoping for a happy end! While normally this type of paranormal romance books isn't my style, Zey definitely made it work, and together with Sky –I was so thrilled we were getting her book after meeting her in Haunt Me, they made such an epic power couple. There were some plottwists I didn't see coming, which I absolutely freaking loved and I definitely want to pick up more books by this author because I loved her writing style and she, again, was a new-to-me author. I'm definitely discovering a whole lot of new paranormal romance authors whose work I love in this series! I definitely recommend this book (well, the whole series..)
Wow! The magic in this book totally new, and the new species introduced is something I’ve never read about which I loved. Sky is a tough and independent FMC while Zey is what I consider a cinnamon roll MC. At first, I was worried Zey would remain a bit bland, but he quickly grew on me as his character developed. I loved the banter between the two main characters, especially as Zey learns more about Earth’s lingo and sarcasm.
With a great mix of adventure, steamy tension, and witty banter, this book is a great addition to the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. Although it’s part of the series, it can be read as a stand-alone. Also, I want to point out that this book is a single POV from the female main character, unlike previous books in this series.
So, often with a long series, I tend to get a little bored with the whole thing around this mark in the series. It is hard to keep things fresh without ressassing the same plots and intrigues. This series does not follow that rule, probably because each book is written by a different author who mysteriously seems able to maintain the characters from one book to another without something seeming off. I love that the characters are found from one book to another, but not necessarily in all of them, and each book is unique. Sky has intrigued me from the start, her power being somewhat mysterious to allow for such good standing in her house despite being human. This is a fast paced, action packed book with twists and turns being plentiful. Great read.
Wow, it was action packed throughout then bam!!! The end!
I had enjoyed reading this standalone in the Immortal Vices and Virtues series. There was so kuch action throughout the whole book, with lots of descriptions and a few steamy scenes. The book pretty much rushed at the end and BAM!!! It was literally the end.
I love when authors take their time creating a story that captivates but totally dislike when it just suddenly ends. The pace of the book should set precedence for the remainder of the book. Provide the same type of writing instead of just ending it. That definitely affects the rating.
I did like Zey and Sky, though. They're an interesting couple, needless to say.
A new portal means the Houses need to scamper to be in control. A new world means a new species to understand and work with. A new relationship must be developed to ensure peace. But is it possible when the species are so different?
Our heroines life is turned upside down when she stumbles across a woman who needs help. Suddenly she is assisting a fugitive and a traitor to her house. Nothing is what it seems, lies and misunderstandings ripple.
Her world is flipped it upside down, before she realised she really didn’t care anymore. Because she loved him, and he loved her, and they were whole and together, and there was nothing she wants more than to continue to be held by him. Can there be a future?
