Jayani x Malik
Jayani had so many layers to me. She was bold, yet timid. She was a boss bìťch who gets shìt done, yet she had a few insecurities left from her previous marriage. But, her effort to rid herself of those insecurities was admirable. Malik came at her with some pick-up line, but it totally worked out. He was out here willing to risk it all for Jayani. Literally. This was almost a love at first sight kind of story. They moved so fast, it was almost scary. But I loved it. They couldn't get enough of each other or keep their hands off each other. They both said they had high sex drive. They weren't lying...
First read by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Let's see what else she has out there.

No Longer Afraid
Jayani met Malik when career wise, everything was going up but her personal life not so much. She thought she'd spend the rest of her life with her high school sweetheart and live her HEA, but here she stood on NYE, at a party for a company she would be it's new co-CEO, hoping for personal growth in the new year to match her professional.
When Malik approaches, she's ready to risk it all, but he's about to be her employee...not quite yet though. These two have the most intense night and morning together, it creates a definite soul tie. You have to be careful who you allow the deepest most sacred part of you because you may not be ready for the consequences.

Passion and seduction!!!🔥🔥🔥
Oh my oh my was this story 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Everything about this book was amazing. I've recently become a big fan of Mya. I like how passionate, sexy, sassy, funny and entertaining her books are. And reading Malik and Jayani's story had all of those elements.
I swear reading this story I had to break out my church fan cause those pages got HOT! Malik was a man that knew what a diamond Jayani was And no way was he about to let anything stand in his way of him getting her. Not even Jayani herself. Jayani was a strong woman who knew her worth. But still had some misgivings about getting involved with Malik. Now I'm not one to ruin a great book. So I'll just say that this is an love story you do not want to pass up. Yes it may be a short read. But it's soooo well worth it. I gave it 5⭐'s cause it had everything I look for in a book. I highly recommend it! Great book Mya!! I can't wait to read more.

When your soul meet its mate....
Ms. Mya this was a steamy novella when two people that were for sure soulmates collided. Jayani and Malik's chemistry was like two magnets from their initial meeting. They started their new year in each other arms and the fire never sizzled. Malik knew for sure Jayani was his one. It took Jayani a little while to get on board because she did have some reservations. She had a right with her past. She was still scorned from her previous relationship.
This was a good read and I enjoyed it. I love the fact that Malik was able to break the walls Jayani had built up. He was also willing to make sacrifices to get his lady. He was a determined man that did not falter from his feelings toward Jayani. I was also glad that Jayani gave love another chance with a man that truly loves her. The memories and adventures Jayani wanted Malik is most definitely going to provide. Jayani and Malik are each other soulmates it was no doubt after their explosive attraction. The women of BLP have been delivering some 🔥 with these moods of love series. I highly advise getting into them. You will be thoroughly entertained.

Perfect Instalove Execution💫
It was all gas from hello! This was an instalove tale where two strangers become quickly acquainted as they enter into unchartered territory. The chemistry was beyond amazing but when Jayani’s past gets in the way, she struggles with letting it go. That BDE though got her right along with Malik’s persistence to prove he’s worth her letting it go. Job well done!

The chemistry between Malik and Jayani was electric from the moment they met! Malik was all in right from the beginning, but Jayani needed a little persuasion! I could understand her hesitation, but you got a good man in front of you girl! Malik was ready to take drastic measures to get his woman, but thankfully that was not necessary. When Jayani "finally" allowed Malik to date her, and set her fears aside, he was everything that she could ever want! These two were nasty chile! 😂 But, in the best way! Enjoyed this! 👍👍👍

I loved how Jayani and Malik matched each
other in and out of the bedroom and the transition from Jayani being guarded due to heartbreak to allowing Malik to love her. The storyline was unique and very easy to read. This was my first time reading this author's work, but it definitely will not be my last!

Great story
I enjoyed the flow of this story, I liked the characters and loved the ending. It was refreshing to read a story without all the messy, crazy, jealous characters so if you're looking for a good peaceful read I suggest this book

Author Mya has demonstrated love after a breakup very well and I loved how she displays everyone deserves real and true love.
Malik and Jalani were meant to be together and I’m glad she took a chance on him.

I enjoyed reading this book. It had just enough spice and romance to keep me reading. When I read the description, I knew that I would enjoy reading it, but I did not know that I would fall in love with the characters. I definitely would recommend this book!

What a beautiful story. What didn't work out before don't mean it want work forever. Love is easy, its building a relationship that you h have to build upon.

This is novella featuring recent divorcée, Jayani, and her new employee, Malik, who meet at a company mixer right before she joins the company. After some tension about not dating a subordinate, the two explore whether they’re truly meant for each other. There’s not much to say about this novella- it was by definition of the type of book, short, but the story also didn’t feel as fully-developed as it could have been, given the tensions inherent in the plot the author set up. As an erotic romance, it was spicy, but also felt a little perfunctory. It wasn’t at all bad, I was more just okay and even though it was a short novella, I would have liked a little more from it.

Non Negotiable
Although “The Love We Make: The Moods of Love” was a novella, I believed Malik& Jayani’s rapid romance & business venture. More so, I appreciate & respect Malik’s candor “he’d never had a girlfriend” & his reasons & objective …a wife ‼️, This book, concise as it was the character & plot development was pristine! I commend the author, Mya for her dedication & diligent craftsmanship to the literary project💐👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽💐‼️Both of Ms. Mya’s characters was reticence regarding a new relationship & the potential emotional trauma (again). Yet, Malik was adamant, “I’ll quit my job, just to date Jayani” with a purpose & a non negotiable goal... exclusivity, girlfriend, fiancé & wife. DANG Malik, you’re the MAN ‼️A great read😊!

Cheesy
The storyline was mediocre, and so was the writing. At the 60% mark, I understood why the preface was written in the tone it was. It gave me the impression that author didn't believe half of what she had written herself, and that's okay. It's a novella (shrugs). The storyline was rushed but didn't really have to be. It was love at first sight, but that doesn't mean that a relationship can't develop at a normal pace, and I think this is where things went downhill for me. Although they moved fast, I was losing interest just as fast. The story just didn't seem realistic and because of it, boredom set in.
