Well this was totally different to what I'd expected! Not terrible, because I've yet to come across anything terrible in Sarah's writing - unless meant to be there, of course! Lol

But this story became something stranger. It became a battlefield between the Dragon Elite, and leviathans from ancient history.

This was a story of just how far all of the Dragon Elite would go, to save humanity, plus every magical being on Earth.

As usual, Sophia was deep at the heart of it all and, as usual, she was tasked with many things to sort out - including exploding sheep! Lol

I loved this story, as I always have the previous ones, although I must admit the battle scenes had me breathless, as I literally held my breath at one point, totally unknowingly, until I realised what I was doing!

And that's the magic involved in Sarah' Noffke's writing. It has you so involved, you feel as though you are there, witnessing all that is happening - and I find that awesome!

So, once again, I've finished another story in this great series, and so am ready to go on to the next one, which is book eighteen: Adjust or be Eliminated!

That sounds worrying!

So, I'm off to read this next installment, and I'll see you on the flip side with my take on it.

You already know that you’re going to love this!

Really, now? Come on! If you are just starting to read about the lives of the Beaufont family with this book then you are doing yourself a great disservice. If, in fact, you have read the rest of their stories prior to this, then there’s very little I need to say. You should already know how fantastic this book is and how incredibly the story goes. So do yourself a favor, stop reading reviews, and pick up this book and enjoy!

With this book I started skipping the 10-30 chapters that detail a single fight scene (yeah, you read that right). They were exhausting and repetitive with the build up to chapter break (manufactured cliff hanger) and then the recap in the next chapter - both of which were 1-3 pages long, far too short for the overhead. And once you start skipping, you find the story degrades to not much.
