He's an alpha fae hell hound.

She's human. Forbidden. And his only chance at salvation.

Meghan Walsh has sworn off all men after the last one dumped her on the side of the road in the middle of the Minnesota woods. Now what? She has no home, no car, and just a few dollars to her name.

Then she meets Cormac MacConall. Tall. Handsome. Strong...and an alpha fae hell hound.

Cormac believes Meghan can help him track the killers who have been terrorizing the fae clans for decades.

To make matters worse, he thinks Meghan is his fated mate.

When he promises her food and a warm bed, she's just desperate enough to say yes. And before long, Cormac's fiery nature melts Meghan's resistance. He's not just kind, but protective. Gentle, but demanding.

But as they close in on the killers, Meghan and Cormac learn a horrifying truth: the enemy is closer to Meghan than either of them realized. And they want to use her to break Cormac once and for all.

USA Today bestselling author A.S. Green lives in chilly Minnesota and spends the all-too-short summers on Lake Superior, which is the muse for her paranormal and contemporary romances. She writes complex characters, action-packed plots, and snarky in-your-face banter. And, of course, loads of steamy love scenes.

When she's not writing romance, she's probably watching Outlander or pleading (unsuccessfully) with her husband to don the kilt she bought him last summer.

Overall, an enjoyable one time read, one that got more entertaining as I read (although in the middle there were times where my interest waned). Cormac (Mack) MacConall Is a Fae hellhound, who is hunted by what he views as his own cowardice when his parents were slaughtered, and so he spends his time with one goal – killing those who destroyed his family.

Meghan is considered a pádraig (human) by all those she crosses paths with, and Cormac keeps telling himself once she helps him gain his vengeance he will leave her be –

I really liked Cormac as a character, Meghan was ok/nice enough, but I wanted more fire and energy – she lacked a certain spark. Usually a heroine fainting annoys me but luckily the way in which the author wrote those two scenes meant that I was lightly amused rather than peeved.

Branna as a secondary character was a tad meh and the author needed to give more background when it came to her, and I wish Cormac’s brothers had been introduced sooner, they had the potential to add an additional layer of entertainment to the story.

Things do occur in a very small-time span, just over a week, luckily, I wasn’t potently conscious of this until it was mentioned, but I will say that as a personal preference if things had been stretched out a bit more it would have been nice as it may have added some depth to things.

I liked the weaving of Irish lore/mythology into the tale.

"You're not what I expected, Meghan. You're completely wrong and somehow completely right, all at the same time. You've given me hope, mo cuisle. You're the first taste of something sweet in half a century of nothing but bitterness."

Sexy read filled with Celtic lore and Hellhound shifters! 5+ stars!

Another great read!! This shifter story was unique in that it beautifully combined everything I love about shifter romances--a possessive alpha, a headstrong heroine, and danger lurking around every corner--with the mystical world of Celtic fae sidhe. I loved the ever-evolving plot, unforgettable characters, and surprising twists that caught me off guard. I recommend this novel to readers who are looking for a unique and highly enjoyable shifter romance, packed with great folklore and swoony men. Definite must-read! ♡

So close….yet so far away. *heartbroken sigh*

Have to say this was an odd one for me and by that I don’t believe I have read something that started so strong and at the half way mark began a sudden decline.

Cormac and Meghan have had lives filled to the brim with tragedy. Now the tragic hero/heroine plot was not the issue however the repeated rehashing was. I felt like I was reading the same page on the same topic over and over and over. Tell me once I’ll probably get it, tell me twice ok enough said, tell me a third, fourth, fifth, sixth time…welcome to the town of Irritation population me.

I did give extra points for the world. The Sidhe were very interesting. There are several different types which I had hoped would be used in conjunction with secondary characters building a stronger foundation for the series. However the secondary characters fell flat for me. They are mentioned and used slightly, but came off as an afterthought or filler.

Plan on adding book two to my “Possibility” shelf, but after reading the epilogue they sound far to similar.

Oh, PNR it's been too long! This is a new series and I'm so excited to read the next one. Right from the start, the chemistry between Cormack and Meghan is palpable and made it a very quick read.
If you love shapeshifters, faery lore, set in a modern day world this needs to be on your TBR pile!!!

I really enjoyed this story of the hell hound and his mate . The author brings in plenty of history on the main male character to understand the driving force to his determination to seek vengeance. The main female character has just the right amount of snarky, stubbornness & cluelessness to make you fall in love with her. The story is easy to follow and quite entertaining. .

The Fae of Minnesota, The hell hound and his halfling
St Patrick did more than bring Christianity and drive the snakes out of Ireland, he waged a war against the Sidhe, as an unnatural abomination, an affront to God. The Black Castle was born to carry out his mission. While he didn't succeed, many left and settled in Minnesota along Lake Superior. A half a century ago, the Black Castle found them.
Carmac MacConnall, cu sidhe, a hell hound, lost his parents at 15 when the Black Castle first found the Sidhe in Minnesota. He and his three younger brothers were saved by a Puca. Five year later he lost his youngest brother, age 10, to them. Carmac made a vow, he would not return home until the took the life of a Black Castle for each of his family he lost. 50 year later, the sidhe are still dying, and he is still hunting.
Meghan Walsh, has been on her own since she turned 18 and left her Aunt and Uncle's house. She lost her parent when she was 5 and never had a real connection to her Aunt and Uncle. For the last 3 years she has wondered, looking for a place to belong, looking for a family. Her wondering has brought her to Minnesota, on her way to Canada.
Carmac finds Meghan in a fairy circle following the smell of blood. At first sight he thought she was one of the fae, then he realizes she is a Padraig, a human. Something about her calls to him. She just may be able to help him track down the Black Castle who are killing the sidhe in the area.
Things get complicated when Carmac realizes Meghan is his anamchara, his soul mate and she has ties to the Black Castle.
Fast paced and steamy. Great world building. Looking forward to Declan and Aiden's stories.

This is my first time reading any of Ms. Green's works and truly reading about the Fae community. I have watched TV shows about the Fae but never read about it. I really appreciated the Map of the North Shore and the Glossary in the front of the book although I wish I were able to easily flip back for reference. I attempted to say or hear in my head the pronunciations as given while reading even though some were no where near what I expected. I actually got to enjoy hearing the 'Ye' with an Irish Brogue in my head.

Ms. Green did a wonderful job of introducing all the characters and making the reader invested in their story. The dynamic between Cormac and Meghan was great. They were both strong characters, each having their own issues. The chemistry between them was too great to resist even while fighting the evil Black Castle.

I especially enjoyed when they had to return to Cormac's childhood home and we got to know his younger brothers and his back story. This is a great but quick read. I definitely recommend it but be aware that you will want to read the next book in the series.

Hounded

This is the first book I have read by A. S. Green, but it won't the the last. This is also the first book in this series, and I am very glad that I decided to expand my reading, and give this book a chance. I am fairly new to the paranormal/shifters type of books, so I read the glossary at the beginning and was like what have I gotten myself into. But I will say I was drawn in by the characters from page one, and could not put the book down. Cormack MacConnell is a fae hellhound, who is trying to avenge the deaths of his parents and youngest brother. Meghan Walsh is a paighe...or is she? He meets her and the chemistry is almost instantaneous. Meghan is running from a not so pleasant life. I'm happy this is the first in the series, and anxiously am awaiting reading the next one to learn more about the characters and what happens with them. I do think there could be another book dedicated to Cormach and Meghan to see how it all works out with them!

Tension filled, chemistry fueled

Hell Hound’s Revenge: Fae of the North Shore by A.S. Green is a well written book that introduced this reader to a new paranormal world. Everything about this book was intriguing to me. The Fae world, history, plot, setting, not to mention the fantastic characters, play equal parts in making this a five star read to me.
The main characters, Cormac and Meghan, are well developed with emotional depth. I was immediately pulled into their story and invested in their outcome, avenging lost loved ones while accepting each other as fated mates.
While this book is stand alone, the story does continue. I fully intend to read it immediately. But for Hounded, I loved the HEA and the promise of more intrigue to HEA for the remaining MacConall brothers.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

This is a totally new author to me but the premise of the book drew me in and I wasn't disappointed loved the fact that the author gave us a dictionary/pronunciation as nothing frustrates me more than not knowing how a word should be pronounced yes I know I am anal

Nothing in Meghan's life ever seems to go well her parents are dead the aunt and uncle who where supposed to care for her treated her bad and now she has been dumped on the side of the road because she wouldn't put out What else can go wrong with her life well that would be Cormac. He is the eldest brother in his family and supposedly the sensible one but he is bent on revenge for his parents death then he meets the human Meghan and he realises she is his mate Can a human and A immortal fae hell hound have a future together you will need to read to se and now I am looking forward to Declan's story

This is my 1st read and review for this author and wow I absolutely loved this story, this book kept me entertained and continually turning the pages I couldn’t put it down and I look forward to reading more from this author. Cormac is a hellhound and while he is looking for his parents murderer he comes across a human woman Meghan, she’s not what he wants right now she’s too much of a beautiful distraction but she is what he needs to help him find a killer. Fantastic characters Cormac and Meghan they have sizzling hot chemistry and it’s a well written story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

A fascinating look at Irish legend!
I really enjoyed this, though it took a while to wrap the story’s world around me. It is unique - and done by an author new to me. I love that it takes place in an area familiar to me. Minnesota’s north shore has much to offer, but now I’ll be looking at the area with new eyes! The main characters are delightful. The danger that surrounds them comes from multiple sources making them all the harder to overcome. I’m looking forward to reading more of this intriguing family!

Hounded by A. S. Green is the first book I've read by this author and it will not be the last. The storyline was engaging and kept my interest as well as the drama, twists, mistakes and emotional turmoil created tension for the couple.
Cormac and Meghan are both strong characters and that made for a well balanced couple. The attraction between the couple simmered along nice as they engaged in a chemistry that was steamy and hot. A very entertaining read and can not wait to read more from this author.

When I first started to read the book, I wasn't sure I would like it. The first couple of chapters seemed a tad confusing to me because of the immersion in Sidhe lore. But then it exploded and everything became this gorgeous story interwoven with rich characters full of depth and dimensions. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat and even though I figured out the ins and outs less than halfway through, it was written so well, I couldn't wait to see how everything meshed together. Ms. Green, you have a lovely talent and I anxiously look forward to more in this series. Well done!

The first book in this new series about the Cu Sidhe, immortal Fae hellhounds. But more specifically, three brothers each on his own path to his fated mate. Cormac is the eldest brother who has been relentlessly tracking the ones responsible for the death of his parents. And meets his mate unexpectedly. A very good start. I loved reading this.

I really enjoyed the characters, they had such depth and history. Lots of twists and surprises, but a great romance. I think I hopefully spotted a future romance as well! This is a series and I really liked this beginning book. The audiobook had two narrators who did an amazing job making me feel a part of the story. Can't wait for more. I received this audiobook by my request in exchange for an honest review from Audiobook Boom.

Cormac is a immoral fee hell hound. Who has been searching for his parents killer for over 50 years just as he is getting close to finding the killer he runs into this human Meghan in the woods, who she is running from her life. The attraction is right there but this is off limits for him. The story is really good and the author keeps you wanting to find out what will happen.

Hounded

So glad I found this gem. I have not found a book that keeps my attention. I'm either skimming thru or not finishing. This story gives an Irish twist in the magical world. And it all comes together with romance (Cormac and Meghan)' history, family and Unknown magical beings. Great read!

Introduction to a new world and author that had me truly hooked

It took awhile to figure out this new world and all it's twisting turns but it never lost its hold. I enjoyed the character building and the plot. My interest was held throughout the book to the point that it was hard to put down for chores or sleep.

Hounded

Hounded was a great book. I loved the way it was put together. The way Meghan and Cormac meet was unusual. I loved that Cormac new as soon as he saw Meghan that she was his mate but doesn't tell her. There are so many twists and turns in the book that makes it that much more interesting.
