It feels strange to call this collection of stories a magazine, but I guess it is 🤷🏻♀️ the cover caught my eye at Barnes and Noble and I had a gift card so … yolo?
The poignancy of this collection was a pleasant surprise. I felt like I was being wrapped in love and comfort from a community of readers I had never met. I annotated a magazine for GOODNESS SAKES. Sometimes good reads or even texting with friends intimidates me because I can be so gosh dang introverted, but connected with other readers and relating to their victories as well as their slow moments of slump resonated with me. Without any interaction, I found community.
The best magazine ever! Although I’m trying to get over the bombshell statement that Nancy Drew books were all written by a variety of ghost writers, this is still the best magazine in the world. Despite the chaos in our world at the present moment, when I go to my mailbox and find this magazine, I find myself skipping down the sidewalk and immersing myself in pure heaven from the cover to the last page. I often feel it was written just for me. It’s paradise on paper.
