You Are Radically Loved: A Healing Journey to Self-Love

Rate this book
From the award-winning host of the Radically Loved podcast, an invitation to discover the healing power of who you are, body, mind, and spirit.Growing up in East L.A. in the nineties, Rosie Acosta dismissed spirituality and wellness as something people like her didn’t do. But after being arrested at age fifteen, she knew that only a radical change would lead her away from debilitating anxiety and self-doubt. As she puts it, yoga offered her a ladder and she began to climb. In this empowering and accessible guide, Acosta leads readers through the essential spiritual practices she uses to create a radically loved life. With the arc of her own journey as a framework, she presents meditations, journaling questions, and practices for identifying and honoring our own radical truths. With grit and grace, this heart-filled guide makes spiritual practice accessible to everyone and helps you become the person you are truly meant to be.

If you’re looking for solid advice and other books to discover on achieving a better life, this book is a great place to start. It is a bit memoir, self help and ends every chapter will action steps. I also love that the author is BIPOC and grew up in East LA/San Gabriel Valley which brings a bit of home to her stories. The book is read by the author.

Tu decizi. Progresul nu are o traiectorie rectilinie.

A Smattering of Wisdom

I have followed Rosie Acosta since she appeared on the Headspace app as a mediation teacher and a general purveyor of wisdom, and she shares much of her experience and insight in this book, making it an enjoyable read. It is well written, but If I'm going to be 100% truthful, I feel that the wisdom in this book is scattered and maybe not really organized in the most direct way and as a result, the book does not achieve the sum of its parts perhaps as well as it could have. Of course, it could also just be me. 😋

Regardless, I enjoyed it, and I appreciate Rosie's take on life and love and growth. I continue to look forward to anything she has to share with the world.

First of all: a lot of respect to read how Rosie went from growing in let’s say not the nicest streets of Los Angeles, getting basically ‘kicked’ out of church and all she had to deal with at a young age to changing into the spritual person that she is now, helping loads of people all across the world! Living her life together with Torry and her dogs! She can be super proud of herself and the journey she has taken.

I learned to meditate through Headspace, which is still a daily practice to me every day and I came across this book when I got to know more about Rosie. There’s so much advise on how to deal with many situations that we all deal with on a daily basis.

Would highly recommend to read it!
