Eleanor Morgan #1-4

Eleanor Morgan Box Set

Rate this book
I am faced with an impossible choice – destroy the realm of my birth or the world I call home.

I'm Eleanor. I was minding my own business, trimming my hedge when bam! Vampire! (Bampire?) At least that’s what the pointy-fanged guy called himself before I staked him. And to make matters worse, my best friend revealed he’s a half-elf Fae and I’m a Fae princess.

Now I’m in a race I don’t quite understand to open gates I’m not entirely sure should be opened to save the Fae Realm. My half-elf friend is guiding me on this quest, but we both need some personal growth if we’re gonna make things work. He needs to get over the hope that I’ll ever be in love with him, and I need to get over the fact that he deliberately infiltrated my life by order of my Fae father.

Not everything on this whirlwind quest is bad, though. Meet Mr. Tall, Dark, and Sexy werewolf, who is along for the ride. Between everyone and everything, there are too many secrets to sort out, and I feel like I’m the only one playing this thing straight. But when one of them stabs me in the back, I'm not sure I can survive two realms trying to hunt me down…

Amy Cissell is a USA Today Bestselling Author of urban fantasy and paranormal romance novels. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband, her haunted house-obsessed daughter, their two cats, and the murder of crows she's conspiring to turn into her vengeful army.

When she's not working or writing, she's sleeping because that's all she has time to do! There are few things Amy loves more than a well-timed pun, a good book, a glass of wine, and making calf eyes at Portugal when she thinks no one’s looking.

Although she reads anything and everything, her first love has always been fantasy. Eleven-year-old Amy discovered fantasy when she 'borrowed' her father's copy of The Hobbit and an enduring love affair (mostly with dragons) was born.

Whatever you want can be found in these pages. You want a werewolf, there’s Issac, Rebecca, Emma and more, you want a Vampire, there’s Raj, Petunia, Marie, Sam and more, you want mages, you have badass Florence, you want Fae you have Eleanor, Finn (the bad guy) Adriunna, and so many more. These books start out slow but you are so wrapped up in these characters by chapter 3 or 4 you have to keep reading. I just finished book four and I’m dying to start 5. Omg Amy did a fantastic job, the characters stay true to who they are, the flow is amazing. I will say you’re left on a cliffie at the end of 4. I want more now.

Get rid of the stupid gratuitous sex

The story is captivating but the sex scenes add nothing. Put them in another color so it is easier to skip the gratuitous bullshit. It adds NOTHING to the story.

I devoured the Eleanor Morgan Box Set (Books 1–4) and had way too much fun along the way. If you love urban fantasy with sass, heart, and a generous dose of magical mayhem—this is for you.

The Cardinal Gate – Eleanor just wants a normal life, but then… surprise! She's half-fae, destiny won’t take no for an answer, and there’s a dangerously attractive elf in the mix.

The Waning Moon – Cue werewolves, witches, and a snarky bookstore. The plot thickens, and so does the romantic tension.

The Ruby Blade – Things get sharp. Literally. Eleanor finds her footing, her fire, and maybe her feelings too.

The Broken World – The stakes? Sky high. The magic? Unleashed. Eleanor fully embraces her role—and it’s epic.

Overall: fast-paced, witty, full of twists and wonderful character growth. I’m officially part of the Eleanor fan club.

I'm finding this this a great series with a subtle difference from the normal end of the world as we know it, apocolypse scenario. The story line is not particularly fast paced but intriguing as the MC develops and takes on her responsibilities. the other team players are well written and full bodied but the death of Emma was a shock and a blow, I was expecting her to become a much bigger part of the story, I'm still grieving her loss. The end of the gate opening portion of the story was pretty much as expected and left a nice cliff hanger for the second part of the series. I am now into the second and last omnibus of this series and still enjoying the journey.

A Faerie Fun Romp

This is a very fun, punny, series full of relatable characters that you become invested in quickly. It is, also, a reflection of how our current society is, warts and all. The 4th book left on a major cliffhanger, now I must buy the rest of the series.

Great story

A very different story imaginatively told. Very graphic sex scenes are a bit too much for me otherwise a great story.
