They promised to do whatever it takes. But what happens when whatever it takes becomes too hard?
Jesse Weber is a workaholic. And it’s messing up his relationship. Dom needs more from him, and it’s proving impossible to give. Distance doesn’t always make the heart grow fonder, and he can feel Dominique slipping away.
Dominique Bergeron doubts everything. She knew a long-distance relationship wouldn’t work, but she’s trying her best. Only now, she’s realizing her best might not be enough for a relationship built on shaky ground.
Insisting they’re better off apart, they’ll try to move on from each other...
But when reunited, sparks fly—and what better place for a fireworks display than their best friends’ wedding? As best man and maid of honour, they’ll need to keep from messing up their friends’ special day, all the while trying not to fall into bed with each other. Again.
Not all love affairs go off without a hitch. Not all happily ever afters come easily.
Sometimes the simplest words are the hardest ones to say.
If you like stories with angst and second chances, then you’ll love this steamy romance.
Without Hesitations is part two of the With or Without You duet. Reading part one prior is highly recommended.

A heartwarming and well deserved conclusion to a wonderful duet!
Book one ends with Jesse and Dominique making a tough decision and making us wonder how the future was going to look like for them. Seeing them again, with the spark and the chemistry intact was beautiful and swoony.
I loved this book for different reasons, but the one that stood out the intensity and how real it was to see them going through so many doubts, hesitations and struggles while being in a long distance relationship. I wanted to shake both of them in different occasions but I also understood them. It was an emotional journey full of angst and lessons about communication and trust.
As a person who has been in a long distance relationship for five years, I took many of the scenes so personally and I have to give a standing ovation to Mimi Flood for describing the struggles so vividly and realistically. I could see myself in both Dom and Jesse as they had to work hard to make things work. This is probably the aspect that I loved the most about this book. It was a book about real people, real relationships and how difficult it is to realize that loving each other by itself isn't enough. Love should be the fuel that makes the engine work from both sides. Being vulnerable, communicating our needs, fears and doubts clearly and trusting that the other person will listen and take care of us with the same effort that we'll put to take care of them. It's not one person's fight, it's a two way street.
I loved Dom's character development. She grew so freaking much through both books. She was still the strong, independent woman, this time with eyes completely open to see her wounds and little by little (and with many mistakes along the way) realizing what she was doing wrong, humble enough to fix it and learning to be vulnerable in order to take care of Jesse's heart. My dear Jesse! I loved to see him fighting hard for Dom's love. His battle was so real and heartbreaking. I really enjoyed seeing that perfect guy I met in book 1 being broken and tired but never wanting to give up. He also made many mistakes and I literally swooned (not kidding, I felt it) when he realized he also needed to compromise in order to keep the woman of his dreams.
Both of them fought, learned and grew through the story and I found myself nodding with a smirk in my face.
It was a beautiful resolution to a couple that truly deserved to be together after so much heartache and struggle. The steam? chef's kiss, Dom and Jesse were hot and fun as always! And I have to say, the ending was absolutely perfect! It gave me exactly the closure I was expecting and even more!
Loved this couple, I'm so satisfied with this beautiful ending and I absolutely love Mimi's writing. Can't wait to see what else she has in store for her readers.
This book starts up right where With Reservations ended. Jesse Weber started his new job in Toronto and has become quite the workaholic thanks to his demanding boss. He can sense that Dom is starting to slip away since he can’t give her everything she needs now. Dominique Bergeron has been burned in the past, she always has some sort of guard up to ensure her heart is safe, she knew long distance would be harder than anything but, she’s willing to do what it takes to make it work. Coming to the decision the long-distance relationship just isn’t working, they both do their best to move on… When Tyler and Seb’s wedding events kick off, the two are reunited and the sparks are better than ever. Can the two focus on their best friends wedding and resist the urge to hook up… again?
I was thrilled to jump back into Dom and Jesse’s story, I fell in love with the characters in With Reservations. The chemistry between the two and the banter checks every box for me. I love the multiple perspectives and the twist Mimi took while writing it, by including some of the same dialogue in each chapter, we can see how Dom and Jesse digested the conversation from their very different viewpoints. It’s hard to write this review because I loved everything and have so much to say but, I don’t want to spoil it. There’s an iconic movie scene in the book however, with a big twist which I adored. The character development for both Dom and Jessie was evident and it was done so well, you’re dealing with two very different and stubborn individuals that have gone through different experiences but seeing them grow felt really special. I can’t forget to mention sassy Tyler and dotting husband to be, Seb, I love the friendships between all the characters, even though there are two characters I could not stand, I don’t think anyone will be able to stand them haha. Overall, Without Hesitations is a fantastic story with strong character development, even better characters and… god damn… THE STEAM!!!! Be prepared to get burned, in a good way 😉. It’s even better if you listen to the playlist Mimi set up on Spotify, each song is spot on!
Dom and Jesse pick up immediately following the conclusion of With Reservations and decide to try and make a go of things. Dom continues with a somewhat rational/irrational fear of "everything falls apart at some point" in effect sabotaging the best relationship she's ever been a part of. Is starting out in a long distance relationship risky, absolutely. Will you always be able to be there when you say you will, absolutely not. The breakdown of this relationship reveals so much about both individuals involved and also proves that no one else can compare. The road to their HEA was one filled with me trying not to scream at these characters as my family sleep, but I enjoyed their journey and the conclusion to their love story. I'm not a violent person, but there were some supporting characters I wanted to smack around (Christina, Benji, Eve). I'm just saying.
Dom and Jesse have fallen in love, but can they make it work long term?
Though these two were a hot mess, I got it. Through long-distance relationship struggles and fears holding them back, the journey these two took to find each other was long and winding. At times, I just wanted to yell at them to get it together! But this story presented what I feel is sometimes realistic in real relationships.
The steamy scenes are on point, and the ending is just so beautiful. (Especially the epilogue!)
I definitely recommend reading this book, but be sure to read With Reservations first so everything makes sense. A solid read!
P.S. One character in particular is a loser. I won't tell you who, but you'll know when you meet them.
Dom remains complex if not difficult as her and Jesse’s love story continues. Although Jesse gives a good look into putting work before love—not helping their long-distance romance—he still manages to make his love for her clear. So how does she ignore that? In walks the old high school boyfriend. I wanted to smack Dom for even giving the charismatic turd the time of day. The storyline is an aggravating roller coaster in a way that keeps you turning the page and excited for Jesse and Dom's next steamy encounter. -I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
A steamy, visceral journey and lovely conclusion to this contemporary romance duet!
Dom and Jesse are two imperfect people working at their perfect love. Emphasis on working. Life, and love, are not easy - and this book reflects the realer, rawer side of that. From an airport meet cute, through a vacation on Belize shores, to a Canadian winter in separate cities, the love and lust and life they navigate is full of emotion and heartache.
For readers who love angst, and something more than a slice of life look at love and relationships.
If you’re as emotional as me, then this book will get to you. It in all the good ways. It picks up right where we left off with Book One, and I enjoyed this new side to both Dom and Jesse. Like many long distance relationships, they had many issues and struggles they had to get through. I loved seeing this type of emotional trauma and drama in a book, because I haven’t read any before that were as raw and real and important as this one. This book ripped my heart out, jumped on it, squished it, and then somehow inflated it back together. Everything about Without Hesitations was heartbreaking, heart-wrenching, and somehow heart-mending all at the same time. This is one book you sorely do not want to miss!
alright, so, I was honestly pretty skeptical on picking this book up. I try to keep an open mind and clean slate everytime I delve into a new book, but I wasn’t particularly over the moon on reading 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐎𝐧𝐞 in the 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬, so I definitely had some reservations going into this [please tell me you see what I did there xD].

I enjoyed the book a LOT more than I thought I would, as is obvious from my rating. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 was heartbreaking to read, but in the best possible way. not all relationships work out despite ample amounts of love being shared, and I really really appreciate how the author acknowledged that and showed us the kind of work and effort one needs to put into themselves and their dynamic to make a relationship work. the plot is unlike any other contemporary romance floating around, and I love how it stays true to itself without any additional drama derailing the central conflict.
jesse weber makes for a picture perfect book boyfriend, and the chemistry he shares with dominique is off the damn charts. although the sarcastic banter we indulged in isn’t as prevalent in this book as compared to book one, dominique & jesse’s interactions were just as interesting [to say the least], and the spice was immaculate — there’s something about the break up sex, I’m telling you. 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 was raw, hot to the point of questionable legality and one that gives you all the feels accompanied with the cutest ever epilogue. not a lot more i could ask for from a book :)
📚 REVIEW TIME 📚 I loooove Dom and Jesse and I'm so glad they got the happy ending they deserved. It didn't come easy they had to fight for it but it was a gritty, realistic depiction of long distance relationships. Sometimes romance isn't all flowers and candy.
Dom is flawed but she has such a great character arc and we really see her develop and mature over this duet, Mimi did a brilliant job of taking us on her journey.
Jesse is just ultimate book-boyfriend goals. He fought and wouldn't give up on them, even when it felt like a losing battle. I loved the scenes when they were together so much, wondering what he was gonna do next to prove to her how much they belonged.
And the moments they manage to steal together??? oh yeah. Its no surprise I like my steam but I LOVE Mimi's steam, its so dang good!
Final thing, Benji? Ugh. His name just even sounds like a d*ck 🤣 Fabulous romance movie ending that was just *chef kiss*
Oh my angst!!!! Wow, this book was incredible and I could not put it down. Mimi Flood did an amazing job of giving Dom and Jesse a second chance romance. The rollercoaster of emotions was up and down, back and forth, between Dom and Jesse and I was loving every second of it. Jesse is one of my new favorite heroes. While he had his flaws, he was still so loving and his broken heart was my broken heart. Mimi made me feel everything Jesse and Dom were feeling with the dual-POV.
You should definitely read the first book in this series before this one (With Reservations) in order to get the full background of Dom and Jesse's relationship. This book picks up right where that one ends. Without Hesitations has angst, steam, real raw emotions, and great character development. This is a must read!
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy of this book.
Picking up right where book 1 left off, Dom and Jesse set fire to the pages in Without Hesitations! Passionate, sexy and so heart wrenching, I couldn't put it down. The story is refreshingly honest and realistic that often it felt like I was reading an email from a friend telling me her story rather than a story in itself. For me this was definitely in the higher range for heat level, but it is a smoldering heat that slowly catches fire and then BURNS! Loved everything about this and I can't wait for more from Ms. Flood. Fantastic 5 star read. Highly recommend!
Oh my heart ❤️. What a conclusion to Jesse and Dom's story. I'll be honest; this story got to me. In all the good ways. I really disliked Dom (you'll know the part) I wanted to throat punch her and that arse Benji at points. I had a gut feeling about Benji! Jesse, Jesse, Jesse...you beautiful man!! My heart belongs to him. Another well written, emotional, heart breaking and heart mending story! Loved it!!
An angsty, emotional, roller coaster ride! Without missing a beat, this book picks up right where book 1 left off. I definitely suggest reading in order to get the full context but what a ride it is! Dom and Jesse have a love affair that is as beautiful and complex as they are. I loved the realism of their story, the melt-your-kindle heat levels and the journey it took to get their HEA. Thank you for this 5 star read, Mimi!
