Rate this book
Mero Perez is all things to all people. He’s handsome, confident, and unmistakably thuggish in every sense of the word. Mero Perez is in demand, but he’s very selective about who he lets in his world. For the ones he loves, he honors, protects, and will do any and everything necessary to make sure they live a life of royalty.

After fifteen years in the streets, he’s built a world that allows him to hand over the world to those he loves and to live without regrets. What else is there to do besides walk away and enjoy everything that he’s worked so hard to gain? If only it were that easy. It's proving to be more difficult than he assumed it would be.

Within the blink of an eye, his world begins crashing down around him. The wife that he’s loved for the past six years has secrets that will end them, while his family becomes a target of an unknown assailant. Everything that he believed true about his life is slowly changing, including the woman who now holds his interest.

Six Tillman’s life was forever changed when her ex did the unthinkable and caused her to lose something so dear to her that she knows she’ll never be able to forgive him. She packs up and moves south to rid herself of the pain he caused, and finds herself in Atlanta with the only family she knows and loves.

While staying with her cousin, Mauri, Six begins to piece her life together build her photography career so that she can stand on her own. Her first job puts her front and center with the sexiest man she’s ever laid eyes on, but she has to check her lustful feelings at the door. Six quickly learns that Mero Perez might be all things to all people, but to Six, he simply needs to be a paycheck. That seems to be more of a problem and challenge than she can handle or avoid when his life begins to change, leaving him with a new found interest in Six.

They say the best way to make God laugh is to tell him your plans. Well, that seems to be the case with this crew. It becomes evident also that the best way to test your will is to say no to a man who’s a thug at heart. Six is learning that the hard way while Mero is trying to get a handle on things. What they thought was a guarantee turns out to be anything but, and the paths they are forced to take leads them down a road full of lies, deception, danger, and disloyalty.

Such an enjoyable read

Let me say it would have been a 5 but the editing or rather lack of editing was a bit much.
"The Edn" really made me lmbo! However this story was good and it flowed and progressed to a way that made it feel real. I loved every leading guy...but Joey was book bae. The strengtht that the guys gave the ladies was beautiful to read. I wish the i had a few more pages i enjoyed them that much. All in all a good story.

This was an ok read. I’m a fan of KC but this just felt off. The grammatical errors, misspellings, incorrect word usage made this such a struggle to get through. I wish there would have been an additional review before this was rereleased.

The storyline was interesting but it felt like something was missing to make this the page turner I know it could be.

Surprised

Khaleel- a bully. I just don't like him period. Mauri-unambitous and soft. Once Leel villied his way into her life she literally did nothing for 90 percent of the book.
Melo- typical boss. Doesn't know how to be alone literally divorced and bounced in another bed. Long story short I loved Joey and Lee they deserve a follow up as they were then only two who were in love naturally and actually worked!

Nah!

Way too many grammar issues and I’ve never stopped reading a book because of it. Six was getting annoying like why she you take the dope???? That part is still so random. Like huh: The MC’s and FMC’s were very problematic. Like Kevin. All he wanted was his stuff back. Hello give it back. Leel was doing too much before he even knew what Cortez was on. He was taking his power to a new level. How you gonna stop a man from seeing is own child. Like even before we found out how Cortez felt about his son. The villians of the stories were forced. Like the author made sure to make them seem bad to make the FMC’s and MC’s seem better but I didn’t like them either. So I DNF at 76%.

Sans had everything she needed from Mero. He gave her the world, but did the unthinkable LOL. After everything is lost she wants to crawl back because the grass ain’t always greener on the other side. She was also grimy.

Meet Mero, hard worker, loyal but married to a grimy wife. He met Six who IMHO had her own issues with her parents and plus an error in judgment which could have had dire consequences SMH.

Leel was crazy AF and had community “D”. He got into a situation because of his community “D” SMH.

This book has some drama, angst, betrayal, loyalty etc. There were errors and calling one person another her person name etc. Even “The End” was misspelt LOL 😂.

Not gonna rate it since I didn't finish it. Didn't like how Mero jumped right into a situationship with Six after finding out his wife was having an affair and carrying another man's baby. Dude moved on instantly🙄 Six told him 2 wrongs don't make it right but slept with the dude anyway🙄🤦🏽‍♀️

Leel was a bully.. in my opinion, he forced Mauri to be with him.

I didn't like either of these couples. I kinda liked Lee's and Joey's but not enough to finish the book🤷🏽‍♀️

Another great read!! Loved all the characters!! Mero’s wife was confused and crazy!! I really liked Six and I loved her chemistry with Mero. The drug thing was just stupid of her and I was disappointed. Mari and Khalil were both crazy and made for each other. Her BD was definitely 🗑 trash!! I loved the way they loved each other‘s children. Joey and Lee were just so stinking cute. Great read👏🏽👍🏽🥰

Thugs for real

It was interesting getting to know the Perez family, Six and Mauri. Plenty of drama, lies and romance. Mero and Leel are on top and they go hard to keep their family safe.

That Thug Mero!

Mero and Khaleel were just too tough! The two first cousins, sons of twin brothers, were beasts in the streets and in the bedroom! Best friends Six and Mauri didn't know what hit them!

It was good, but…

I liked the characters and the storyline for them. What really began to bother me was the amount of spelling mistakes.
