And Baby Makes ...

The Boss's Bonus Babies

Rate this book
After years playing the support act to her friends’ happily-ever-afters, Cleo Williams decides it’s high time she did something for herself. And sure enough, that split-second decision soon lands her in a brand-new environment—a tiny, gorgeous island off the coast of California, as the summer nanny to a wealthy family. It doesn’t take long for her to see that all’s not well in paradise—her employer’s twin sons are less than happy to be back from boarding school, and their father seems unable to spend any time with them at all. The longer Cleo stays, the more desperate she becomes to fix the family dynamic—and the harder it becomes to ignore the smoldering gazes the tortured patriarch is throwing her way. Taking Austin’s attention away from his sons is the last thing she needs to be doing right now, but soon she receives earth-shattering news: she’s pregnant!

Cleo's friends from college were getting married one by one and asking her to be in their weddings, but she was only a school teacher with not a lot of extra money. She could not afford all these expensive dresses, showers, bachelorette parties she had had to pay for and then add travel on top. Then she had one wanting her to go to Hawaii for a week long destination wedding, and she was not really even friends with this woman so she said she would be traveling and declined. Instead she took a summer job as a nanny on Windfall Island off the coast of California taking care of fourteen year old twins Will, and Lucas Francis. Their father, Austin was a self-employed attorney working from the island. Austin did a lot of traveling with his job, so he needed Cleo on hand to supervise the boys when he was unavailable which happened to be most of the time. The boys went to school on the mainland and was only home on the island during the summer. Austin loved his boys, but he got so caught up in work he forgot how to engage them and enter act with them when they were home. Cleo arriving on the scene was like a breath of fresh air to everyone. Austin was immediately attracted to her, and he had to continually remind himself she was an employee, but she did not treat him so much like an employer. She tried to encourage him with the boys to interact more. She was drawing the boys out of themselves, they were laughing and actually enjoying their time on the island. This story seemed to be believable with the information of a teacher seeking a summer job as a nanny and a wealthy, widower needing someone of strong educational character to watch out for his boys that this could entirely happen. The twins characters were written perfectly. I could imagine their reactions every time. There was a great deal of time spent developing the relationship between the twins and Cleo to the point those boys had really bonded with her in that very short period of time and she with them. I cannot forget Cleo's wild child of a best friend, Jane that gave Cleo all the ideas and the courage to take this advantage. Jane was a wonderful to Cleo as friend. Jane was always there for an encouraging chat. There was not a lot of romance and what there was, was very subtle. This story was well worth the read.

Cleo is a teacher but she always works in the summer break. This year she decides to travel after some encouragement from her friend. She ends up in California looking after 2 teenage boys that are home from boarding school. They live on an island off the coast of California with their father and soon Cleo works out that they do not need a nanny, they need a friend/companion to keep them happy throughout the summer. The boys are warry of getting close to Cleo as all their other nannies have left within a few weeks as the island is so isolated, but Cleo is determined to win the boys over and stay to help them.
Their father Austin is always working and the boys don't see him much during the holiday's. Can Cleo help change their relationship for the better while she is with them. But what happens when Austin and Cleo begin to get closer, will their relationship affect the one between Austin and their sons, especially when Cleo ends up pregnant.

I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

Cleo is fed up always being asked to be a bridesmaid so when yet another of her friends tells her she's getting married and asks her to once again be a bridesmaid she makes a decision that could change her life. She declines and obtains a position on an island off the coast of California as a nanny to twin fourteen-year-old boys who are spending the summer with their father, Austin. He's a workaholic attorney who doesn’t spend enough time with his sons especially when it's only for the summer holidays as they are away at school during term time.

Cleo and the boys get along really well, her being a teacher probably helps, as for Austin, well when he looks at her there's something in his expression that says he would like her to be more than his sons' nanny. Does he want to take things further and if he does is this her chance to be more than a bridesmaid at the next wedding she attends?

When it looked like all of Cleo's friends were getting married, she decided to take a vacation instead of facing another wedding. She ends up being a nanny on a secluded island. The two boys she is to take care of are in their teens and aren't happy about having a nanny. Cleo shows them that she can have fun with them and her being there to take care of them. However, its harder to convince Austin their father to spend more time with them. Sparks fly between Austin and Cleo. Soon he starts spending more time with the boys and Cleo. Yet when a big business opportunity came up, he left at all of them behind. Will Austin see that he needs to change before its too late? Can they become of family with all the complications?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

3.5**** stars. Cleo, a schoolteacher off for the summer, takes a nanny job for twin 14 year old boys, home from boarding school, on an inaccessible secluded island. The father Austen, a widower, seems to be a workaholic and currently seems to be unable to relate to his sons. She immediately picks up on the tension and angry feelings. She meets with resistance when she suggests things to do to remedy some of the distance between father and sons. And, there are underlying feelings for each other that they act on when the boys have a sleep over with friends. Actions have consequences……. Nicely written and very enjoyable read.

This is the 3rd book in the And Baby Makes series featuring Austin and Cleo's wonderful story. All of Cleo's friends from college have been getting married and she can't afford to keep being a bridesmaid on a teachers salary. When one asks her to go to Hawaii she declined and she got a summer job as a nanny on an island off the coast of California. She's taking care of 14yr old twins since their father Austin is a workaholic. Cleo arriving is the best thing that happened to everyone and even though she feels a connection to Austin she doesn't want to take the focus off of the twins. You really need to read this wonderful emotional story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

The New Meaning Of Family And Home -
This story was truly enjoyable and it kept entertained from the first page until the last word. The story had everything expected in a remarkably written book, but my favourite part of the story, was the love and support Cleo gave to Lucas, Will and Austin, that led to their happy family and home. I was really moved by this story and I really didn’t want it to end. If you are looking for a feel-good book to read, then I suggest you include this book on your ‘to be read list’ immediately.

This was a good story. Cleo went to work for a father being a nanny for two 14 year old twin boys. They didn't really need a nanny but more of a companion as their father wasn't home much. They were quite sullen when she got there and it didn't take long to figure out why. The dad worked so much, he spent very little time with him. She helped draw him out to better understand his own kids. They spent one night together and she ended up pregnant with triplets. She was so afraid how he and the boys would react, but it was everything she every wanted. A very good read

This was a great read and the characters are very believable which made the book so much more enjoyable. Cleo Williams friends are all getting married and she is often call upon to be a bridesmaid and on her teacher’s salary it’s getting to be to much and when she declines saying she will away at that time and so she takes on a summer nanny job for twins of a wealthy family that lives on Windfall island. Austin Francis is an attorney and is a workaholic and has no time for his 14 yr old twins Will and Lucas who only come home for the holidays and so he hires a nanny that’s a school teacher and when he meets her he is attracted to her straight away but he must keep this professional but when the kids meet there new nanny things start to change and he hears the boys laughing and having fun with Cleo and he wonders if she could be more than just a nanny and soon the lines get blurred. Cleo is enjoying looking after the boys Will and Lucas and they are having so much fun together and at every turn she invites Austin to join them and it’s hard to watch him struggle to connect with his sons and with them being together she doesn’t want to come between them either but now she is pregnant how will Austin and the kids take the news about the babies. To get all the answers this book is a must read….

Chloe didn't realize her summer adventure nanny job for two fourteen year olds would also have her acting as a counselor to their dad Austin. He needed the reality check provided by her to break down barriers with his boys and allow safe spaces to share thoughts and feelings. He needed to learn that just because he's always done things one way that there's another way to achieve the same results. Thankfully he got his head on straight and found love again.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Cleo, Austin and his children, and does not let go. She is a nanny for the children and realizes that there is trouble in paradise. Cleo and Austin have a connection but she does not want to take his attention away from his children. Is there a happy future for this little group?

The Boss’s Bonus Babies

I really enjoyed reading this story. There isn’t a lot of drama it’s a nice clean read.

Austin loved his son’s and thought he was doing right by sending them to boarding school. Cleo a teacher showed Austin he was going about it the wrong way.

It takes a lot of love and willingness to change on Austin’s part to make his family happy. Throwing in a wonderful surprise in the end makes a happy ending.

I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.

This is a sweet and emotional story, well-written and quick to read. I liked both Cleo and Austin. I loved how Cleo bonded immediately with Austin's twin boys and how they blossomed up her love and care. Even Austin seemed to open up more.

Good book

This book focused on the dynamic of single parenthood. I am familiar with that since I was a single parent for a while. The struggles with career and children are difficult. The author presented the situation in a heart felt manner. Character development was outstanding.

Another Winner

One of my favorite authors has another clean, well written story of family dynamics. A nanny changes everything and everyone. The relationship she has with the sullen boys extends to their father. The result HEA and a few surprises.
