Sassy Gods? Futuristic medieval world with magic and technology mixed? Fate of the world at hand? Major slow burn romance that has you sobbing in the coffee shop at the last line?
Yes to all of these! I loved this book so much along with the characters. Khalon and Rhea have my heart I love these two so much. I also love the diversity of this book including a hearing impaired bad ass Princess.
The references to all the different names of the Gods throughout their reincarnation just flowed through this book without having to explain anything.
I honestly cannot wait to see what happens next!

We read to escape reality couldn’t sum up this book more perfectly. I went in a bit hesitant as a Romance and Thriller reader, but I was so surprised at how invested I got in this story. The writer created a magical world that was so easy to imagine from dragons to vampires. The characters are witty and sarcastic (my favourite) but all so different and so brilliantly described. I laughed and I even cried to my own surprise. If you love adventure, action and romance with a magical backdrop, then this is for you. Warning! You will be left standing at the edge of a cliff hanger frantically turning the last page needing more ! I can’t wait for the sequel.

This was a really interesting story that Khalon, a dragon prince as he goes to serve the God of Death after being banished from his kingdom. The story then revolves around the Celestials/Gods and how they try to save their world from grave danger. I really liked how the author weaved in Gods from other traditions as well. A well written story with some interesting characters. Would love to read what happens next! I received a free copy of the book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

If the cover isn't enough to draw you in, the title will! From the first few pages, Bianca Gray weaves a tale of legends, magic, Gods, and dragon princes worthy of being told. The characters are filled with depth and history, capturing the reader's interest from the start while the writing is steeped in emotion. A story that gives testament to the author's passion for her craft and lives up to its epic-scale title.

This book has ticked so many boxes for me!!!! It's been such an epic fantasy. Loved the journey! The character development! The plot! The bad guys! The good guys! The heroes! The mythical creatures! This has easily jumped into my top 10 of the year!!

I really liked this book! The setting is very interesting with the past colliding with the future. Bianca has a knack for creating unique premises and building elaborate and fascinating worlds. Can’t wait for the sequel!

Sassy gods not at your service! Tldr: This book needs more LOVE!
I binged this in 2.5 sittings. I was HOOKED after just sampling the first 3 chapters. This story rides on a strong wave of lore and mythology where each chapter is infused with mystery and the discovery of how their world (if middle earth continued to progress into the future with futuristic technology and all the magic and fantasy still existed) works and came to be that it pulled me in wanting to know more and more! Bianca Gray has skillfully told a fantastical tale of reincarnated sassy and witty Greek/Roman Gods and Goddesses in a heavily fantasy world with Draconians, Witches, Elves, Faeries, Mermaids, Vampires, Werewolves, and many more creatures living in a parallel realm called Asynithis. The story primarily follows the banished Draconian Prince Khalon and the reincarnate of the God of Death, Rhea, as their paths cross when political tension and a struggle for power leads into a growing threat of an unknown God Killer.
The breakdown with mininal spoilers but still read at your caution: 4 - 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫
Story: Very interesting and highly recommend if you like thriller action fantasy adventure and mythology with a futuristic sci-fi splash and a dash of romance.
Writing: Smooth and easy to read, clear and direct writing. Telling at times. Chapter pacing and focus for each was well done in my opinion!
Characters: Everyone's character felt sure and formed since the beginning with minimal need to progress. The characters are all very distinguishable, likable, and sassy gods are fun to read! There are plenty of strong female characters that aren't plain out nasty and rude like some other YA I've tried. The romance was cute. None of that spicy type at all (if that is what you're looking for, it's not here) this was just a cute slow burn affection between once strangers who got tied up in some strings of fates. 🤭
Overall a very enjoyable read! 2.5 days reading spent well 😀 I am interested what will happen now in volume 2 after the way how volume 1 ended with a cliffhanger. It's a Stay Tuned! Thank you Bianca for sharing with us this amazing story!

Okay… confession time. I didn’t finish this one. 😅 I really wanted to love it — the concept sounded so intriguing, and the cover is absolutely stunning — but for some reason, I just couldn’t get into it right now. The story didn’t grab me the way I hoped it would, and I kept finding my mind wandering off instead of staying hooked.
That said, I don’t think it’s a bad book at all — I genuinely believe this might just be a “wrong book, wrong time” situation. Sometimes you have to be in a specific mood for a certain kind of story, and I’ll definitely circle back to it later to give it a fair second chance.
So for now, it’s going back on my shelf to patiently wait for its redemption. ✨

December 21, 2023The Celestials has sassy gods, a magical world, with a bit of action and romance. Khalon, a dragon prince, is banished from his kingdom by his father as a 'sacrifice', ends up serving the God of Death instead. The world is an interesting mix of the past and future and the gods are from a wide variety of myths.
I really loved the sassy gods aspect; even the non-gods in this story had a sense of wit and sarcasm. Also, the romance isn't the main aspect of the story but I loved it trotting along in the background!
It was overall a really enjoyable read.

I REALLY liked this first book. Very interesting and creative concept. I need to start reading the next one asap. Too many things happened at that very end.

Semi Spoilers Ahead
I really enjoyed this book, knowing there is a second I would love to go and read it (one my never ending tbr pile goes down haha)
From the moment khalon gets banished as a sacrifice who ends up in the hands of the god of death. I liked how the story played out with the gods, I’m never really one for stories like this but this has 100% converted me. Once we had as others have mentioned sassy gods I was hooked. I would like to think posiden was my favourite at the end of the day.
