Ryli Sinclair Mystery #9-12

Book 9: Hold on to your Santa hats! Ryli and Aunt Shirley are back at it again in this humorous Christmas cozy. When a local shop owner is killed during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Aunt Shirley is ready to put her new PI license to work and find the true murderer. With a list of suspects handy, Ryli and Aunt Shirley follow the clues, and their instincts, and set out to capture the killer. But first they’ll have to survive tangling with a mean old lady and her cane, a pack of killer chihuahuas (not again!), and a gang of biker dudes. Oh, and manage to stay off Santa’s (Old Man Jenkins) naughty list!
Can the girls rely on their experience, instinct, and wit to take down the killer? Or will their first case as licensed PIs have them falling on their faces? Find out in this funny, feel-good Christmas tale of a young woman learning about life through the eyes of her fearless great aunt. Book 10: Wealthy Granville resident, Sissy Stapleton, is sure someone in her household is trying to kill her. After listening to her perilous plight, Ryli and Aunt Shirley both agree someone may indeed be trying to kill Sissy. Ronni Reynolds is convinced her grandmother, Darletta Ross, has been hustled by Brywood resident John Smith. Darletta, however, insists something horrible has happened to her new younger man. Now it’s up to Ryli and Aunt Shirley to figure out if Darletta has been conned or if something more sinister is afoot. Between hot yoga classes, nightly stakeouts, and new weapons for Aunt Shirley to perfect, the girls take to the road to solve their cases before victims start crawling out of the woodwork. Good thing Aunt Shirley just stocked up on her stash of tequila! Book 11: When Ryli and Aunt Shirley head to Meadow Acres to set up for Ryli's mom's wedding to Doc, neither woman anticipates stumbling over a dead body...but that's exactly what happens! With six possible suspects, Ryli and Aunt Shirley know they have their work cut out for them if they want to find the killer before the police shut down Meadow Acres and ruin Mom's wedding! Ready to work their magic, Ryli trades in the Falcon for a golf cart as the girls cruise around sipping tequila and searching for clues on the twenty-acre farm. When Meadow Acres worker and long-time PI assistant, Beverly "Bevie" Smith, joins up with the girls...things go from crazy to downright insane. Just when Ryli and Aunt Shirley are sure they know who the killer is, Aunt Shirley is dealt a deadly blow. Can she recover in time to help Ryli and Bevie? Or will a killer, for the first time ever, get a leg up on Aunt Shirley? Book 12: When Ryli and Aunt Shirley agree to take on a PI job for local bakery owner and friend, Becca Hunt, they figure it's a simple matter of finding Becca's ex-husband and delivering paperwork. Seems simple enough. But when the ex turns up dead, everything changes. Soon Ryli, Aunt Shirley, and Bevie are dragged into the seedy underbelly of fashion, greed, and murder. Can the girls discover who killed Becca's ex before another fashionista turns up dead? And more importantly, will Aunt Shirley get to use her newest weapon in her massive collection? Join the girls as they chase down a killer, attend the twins' half birthday party, and tangle with a group of twelve-year-old gang members. But just when everything seems right with the world, Ryli gets news that leaves her shattered. Can she deal with this latest blow?

The ladies are getting crazier

Ryli is coming into her own, and Aunt Shirley is well, Aunt Shirley. In a league of her own. I'm still shocked how often they come to getting maimed or killed. I love the sarcasm and loyalty of the group of friends and family.

These are fun books to read.

Must read. The characters are both querky and endearing.
Don't forget to start at the first in the series. Well done
